PROUD TO HOST CANADA’S LARGEST ONE IRON ANGUS PRODUCTION SALE

Welcome to the 39th Annual LLB Spring Spectacular. This year more than ever before, we feel the immense gratitude for our cattle friends. The founder and pillar of this operation will be severely missed, a true friend and cattleman. The Brown family want to thank everyone for their support, help and sympathy through the toughest times of their lives. The cows still need to be fed, and I am sure the crew thinks of Lee Brown and his legendary feed wagon operation as the chores get done. Laura, Trish, Tim, Luke, Kath and the rest of their exemplary LLB crew are more than prepared with what we consider their best offering to date. Sire groups in volume that impress… many heifer bull options and of course the power cow bulls that this performance herd is noted for. New to the offering this year is the progeny of Gable who headlines the female section and offers a low birth solution in the bulls that will be an outcross for many customers. The heifer pen might be as good as we’ve seen over all the years here at LLB. What a consistent set of future brood matrons. Never before have we seen a better time to add a top female(s) to your operation. The bull pen is the bread and butter here at LLB. Lee loved buying the best herd bulls in the Angus fraternity, and it shows in this pen of bulls. The quality of substance, shape and thickness is visible while many low birth weight options with big time weaning weights also

come to you in volume. As always, the two-year-old pen is ready to get the job done and this set is in perfect condition to go to grass and have the result you want come fall. There’s no doubt life here is different without Lee. The attendance for his memorial says everything about this man. For myself, he made me in the Angus business; helping me and supporting me in my early years like he did for so many. I think about the multiple times a year the LLB program has always participated in sales across the land in drought years, good and bad cattle markets and in plentiful years.. they have always been there. Like Steve Dorran told me - you can never have enough friends like Lee Brown. So very true! Even through loss, the day to day continues, and the LLB crew once again is proud to host Canada’s largest Angus production sale. The Brown family has a set of cattle to remember this year once you go through the pens. This outfit, like the past 39 years, are here and ready to serve you for the next 39 years, as Lee wouldn’t want it any other way. So please attend the sale, the atmosphere, hospitality, quality of cattle and good people are worth the time.

See you at the sale barn

With honour, BEN WRIGHT
