Sale Day Welcome....

Welcome to the Premium Genetics Bull Sale. This is a multibreed offering from some of the most dedicated seed stock producers in the region. This group of contributors continues to improve their offering each year and you will find strong bulls that you can confidently add to your herd.

The drought experienced these last number of years have provided several challenges to the cattle industry. Fortunately, the last year provided record cattle prices across the country. Steers averaging over $4.00/lbs and record bred cattle prices provide some optimism around the cattle industry.

We have assembled a group of bulls that have been raised by hardy females. A group of females that are sound, efficient, and productive. These bulls, we believe you will find, are sound with good foot quality, lots of middle and muscle shape, and will add pounds to their calves.

Feel free to contact any of the consignors prior to the sale to view or inquire about the bulls. Stop by Johnstone’s to see the bulls on the 14th and enjoy some fellowship. If for any reason you are unable to attend the sale, please feel free to contact the sale staff or any of the contributors. Videos of the bulls are on DLMS, and DLMS has will be onsite if internet bidding is preferred.

Sale day lunch will be provided.

Thank you for your interest in our offering and please let us know how we can be of assistance in being your trusted source of genetics for your herd.

HMS Hi-Cliffe

HMS Hi-Cliffe, owned by the Millham Family, is a small family ranch of 30 purebred Polled Herefords. We are passionate about raising quality cattle for the commercial and purebred industries and are fortunate to have some that are good enough for the show circuit.

The bulls have been vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for external parasites pre-pasture, in the fall, and this spring. All bulls will receive their initial vaccination for foot rot prior to the sale.

We have a very powerful and consistent set of bulls on offer again this year. We focus on sound, structurally correct bulls with maternal strength. All bulls are docile, and halter trained. All bulls are free on known genetic defects. Many of the bulls are homozygous polled with 100% eye pigmentation.

Wow here is a true beef bull! Super wide topped, super deep ribbed and a huge hind quarter. Just like his dad. Even better is his mom, the great MHPH Nita 1015F. She’s a beautiful cow that should be the standard for all females. This guys going to be a great bull to use. And one last thing he has hair on him like a shag carpet! His offspring that inherit this hair will definitely stay warm when it’s cold outside!

Coulee Crossing Cattle Company

Welcome to the 2025 edition of the Premium Genetics bull sale. This is a great group of people to be part of a bull sale with. The bulls this year have been pail fed a COB ration with a rumensin mineral pellet included with free choice grass hay. The bulls are all quiet and halterbroke for your convenience. With age comes wisdom or so the saying goes. As I get older and running a cattle operation on my own, some things have to give.

I am starting to wind down my angus operation, and so these will likely be the last significant group of Black Angus bulls I will sell. Bulls are available for viewing any time. Please stop by and have a look if you are in the area. Here is to a safe and quick calving season and a warm wet spring for all. See you sale day.

Eden Meadows Farms

Eden Meadows Farm is proud to be back for another year in the Premium Genetics Bull Sale. Terry, Lynette and family have been raising Limousin cattle for more than 50 years, and Terry has been heavily involved in the direction of the Limousin breed by serving on the boards of the Canadian Limousin Association and the Saskatchewan Limousin Association.

We believe in the power of strong maternal females to raise high-producing offspring. The bulls offered today are herd sire prospects that we would use in our own program. Whether you are looking to grow your purebred or commercial herds, EMF bulls will add muscle, performance and overall balance to any offspring. Docility is also a key trait within our cow herd.

All bulls receive Baycox, Multimin and vitamins A & D at birth, and IVR, BVD, BRSV, Haemophilus and Blackleg vaccines are administered in the spring and fall. They are fed with brown oats, a growing supplement and free choice hay.

Please stop by the farm to see our bulls and cow herd. Pictures and videos are available on our Eden Meadows Farm Facebook page.
