Secretary Samuel’s “Keys” to Success Hey Board!! I hope you had a great thanksgiving break! November has been a great month to give thanks and do service projects. As the Christmas season is coming up, remember to engage in all the service opportunities. You all have been doing a great job reminding clubs to report. Remember that we still have two more quarters so many of your clubs have a chance to report, catch up on report, and do more for their communities. Of course, remember to give them resources, and if you ever have any questions please let me know. I can’t wait to see everyone at Winter Board in January!

Yours in service,

Samuel Kinnin LTG Checklist:    In this issue: -

Be on the lookout for new resources Encourage clubs to report Look at the COCI I sent out to all of you Make sure to have clubs update COCI (some still haven’t) Look at your feedbacks for your divisions Email resources to all clubs

To work for the common good is the greatest creed. – Woodrow Wilson

Other Information Regional Reporting: I sent out an email to everyone recently on your percentages of who is reporting in your area. Please look at it and let me know what you think. I might possibly start giving you an email every quarter with the progress made.

Secretary Update:

Task of the Month for November:

For this month, I did not do a video blog with updates and answering FAQs, but I will make a November/ December one towards the beginning of December.

What did your club do for Key Club Week? If you missed Key Club Week, then build a turkey out of donated materials, such as, cans from a canned food drive and take a picture.

So be on the lookout for that!

Remind your clubs to send this in with their reports

March of Dimes This past month many of you raised awareness for March of Dimes through social media and volunteer work. Shout out to everyone who participated!

Eliminate Project: Remember to remind clubs to raise awareness for the Eliminate Project. The goal for the year is $53,000. The completion forms are out for clubs. The top clubs will receive some additional points to their reports.

Hey T-O! You should be working on paying your dues if you haven’t already, and the deadline for dues was November 30th. As of December 1st dues are past late but should still be sent in as soon as possible. If you are having trouble paying dues you can: contact me, call 1-800-5492647, or email memberservices@kiwanis.org. Let me know if you need anything and MERRY CHRISTMAS! Hey District Board! I hope you all had a splendid Thanksgiving break filled with food, fun, family, and friends! Bundle up for the season of cold! This is also an excellent time for service. There are definitely countless opportunities to give back to the community during this time of the year. Stay warm and safe, my friends! Now that school is back in session, midterms are fast ap-

proaching. I know this time of the year can be especially stressful and time consuming. Just keep in mind that you have an entire group of aspiring individuals working and supporting you along the way! I can’t wait to see all of your beautiful faces at Winter Board! End this 2014 year with a BANG. The Best of Holidays! Emily Zhao

LOH’S LIAISON LORE How’s it going T-O? I hope y’all have had an awesome Thanksgiving Break and are ready for the holiday season! Cold weather, hot chocolate, Christmas lights, possible inclement weather/school being cancelled, MORE family gatherings, some of the best things about winter! Although you may have a roof to sleep under and a family to spend time with, others may not, so organize an event to help out those who are less fortunate! Possible things you can do include hosting a canned food drive, volunteering at a homeless shelter, helping out at a local soup kitchen, or spending time at a local mission center! Emphasize these to your clubs! It’s always nice seeing the looks of gratitude on others’ faces. DCON is just a little over 120 days away! That’s one-third of a year! I hope you all are excited for Winter Board! We’ll see each other in just over a month! If you are presenting a forum at DCON, keep in mind that you may be asked to do a small presentation at WinBo to ensure that you are capable of teaching a forum! Don’t let this discourage you, though, it won’t be bad! Also, $500 worth of your ad sales are due by the Winter Board Meeting, so sell those ads!

GOALS: TO UP THE HYPE ABOUT DCON 2015 TO PLACE EMPHASIS ON FORUMS TO REVAMP ALL DCON ACTIVITIES TO CREATE MORE PROMO ITEMS TO ADVERTISE

IMPORTANT DATES: 12/6 DBoard Forum Presentations Due 12/6 Club Forum Apps Due

Don’t forget that if you are a forum presenter, your final forum presentation is due on December 6th!
