Congrats on your first month in your positions! I know each of you will do a fantastic job and serve your areas to the fullest of your ability. If you have any questions what so ever regarding the monthly report or anything at all I can help with please don’t hesitate to ask. Many clubs reported this month and I was so pleased to have as many reports as I did. My goal is to gain even more reports and get more clubs involved in reporting. If any of your clubs do not report try to get them involved. There are many resources and tools you can use, and once again if you need any help locating those please contact me. Keep up the good work!

Top 5 Service Projects Kiwanis Hospital Dolls: Port Neches-Groves Key Club recently participated in a service project that included making Kiwanis Hospital Dolls for the children at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. The dolls are used to help doctors comfort and communicate with the children. Children use them to express where their pain might be and to overall comfort them in their time of distress. By: Taylor Reasons Cinco Ranch Run for Cancer: Key Clubbers worked together with several other school organizations—including National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Science National Honor Society, and Future Business Leaders of America—to host a 5K run. Over 100 people donated money and participated in the event. All of the money was sent to the American Cancer Society. By: Christina Xu Special Olympics: At Cy-Fair High School, we have been working closely with Special Olympics, the world’s largest sports organization for children with intellectual disabilities. In our local community, there are a few dozen kids in this organization that participate in sports like softball, swimming, and track. Throughout the year, we attend their practices where we cheer the kids on and help them in any way possible. By: Naveen and Courtney Faith Based: Jenks faith based allows people to participate actively in their own faith, while receiving hours for service. Faith based emphasizes the importance of giving back to your community, by helping those in need. Faith Based Hours include babysitting children, cleaning up your temple or church, giving food to the homeless, and teaching kids your faith. By: Kanjan Manohar SnackPack 4 Kids: Hereford filled 25 bags each week with food items to go in backpacks for elementary student up to high school students who do not have enough food to eat over the weekend and holidays- it is a lifesaver for many of these students. These kids are not hungry thus they can perform much better in school.

Shout out to 3N and Amy Jiang for 100% reporting for April! Keep up the good work!
