NOVEMBER 2016
seven acres of inspiration
garden boutique
Inspiring generations of holiday memories
Because it was mom’s favorite
The scent of fresh sage as Thanksgiving dinner is prepared, family gathered ‘round a beautifully decorated table, and trimming the tree with newly found ornaments. We all have those special holiday memories from our youth that transitioned into our own family customs with children, grandchildren and close friends.
To impress the neighbors
November welcomes a fresh season of decorating that sparks memories, inspires us, and puts us all in the holiday spirit. There is unmistakable warmth conveyed within the details of your home, from the front door where a fresh wreath bursts with autumn foliage to the table where friends and family gather to celebrate a season of gratitude. For generations, Rock City Gardens has been ‘holiday central’ for home and garden décor. Thanksgiving and Christmas are wonderful times at the gardens, and we look forward to helping you prepare for the season ahead while adding to your memory-making holiday traditions.

ASK DOC ROCK
Q:
How do I keep my impatiens looking vibrant all season?
A: The key to healthy impatiens of any variety is to know they don’t tolerate drought. Keep the soil moist. Impatiens can be heavy feeders, so give them monthly feedings of a low-nitrogen plant food. This will encourage plant growth without discouraging any of its beautiful flower production. They are ideal for planters, hanging baskets and mass bedding. If possible, move your containers to keep them in the shade during the hottest part of the day and you’ll find they thrive with ease.
Visit soon while supplies last, and our associates will gladly help you select the best varieties for your growing needs. 5
