John’s Island Club

Water, water everywh ere. Blessed with an ideal barrier island location with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Indian River Lagoon on the other, John’s Island Club members enjoy a wide variety of activities in, on and near the water. Did you know that the Indian River Lagoon is one of the most biologically diverse areas in North America? On any given day, you can catch a glimpse of more than 4,000 different species of birds, fish, crustaceans, and mammals—36 of which are endangered or rare. Our area’s pristine oceans and beaches also host some of the most important nesting habitats in the Western Hemisphere for the majestic Loggerhead sea turtle.

There’s nothing more refreshing than a swim in our seaside pool. Whether it’s early morning laps or a quick dip to cool off, our pool is pivotal to the Beach Club experience. Enjoy a leisurely lunch poolside, or come as you are for a quick bite at the nearby snack bar.

We enjoy the very best in seaside amenities. No detail is too small; no request, too large.

Life’s a Beach. Sun, sand, surf, all the ingredients for a perfect day at the beach. Surfboards, paddle boards, boogie boards, and ocean kayaks are at your disposal, and certified staff is available for instruction in all water sports. Thanks to highly trained lifeguards and attendants, the beach is always a safe and fun environment.

Whether surf-casting in the ocean, deep sea fishing off shore, trolling the flats, or simply cruising, we live in a boater’s and fisherman’s paradise. And the variety of fish you could hook is amazing: snook, trout, redfish, snapper, grouper, tripletail, tarpon, and more. The wildlife you observe in their natural habitat is an even bigger bonus.

Seeing is believing: a black drum fish (below, center) larger than the young man who reeled it in!

Reel Happiness.

At John’s Island Club, fun just seems to flow in with the tides and the breezes. Whether it’s an excursion by canoe or kayak on the Indian River Lagoon or simply catching a wave at the beach, it’s so easy to relax into the rhythm of life on the water.

Parasailing is one of the biggest attractions of our summer Adventure Island Camp.

Go With Th e Flow.
