1989:
Miller’s Fine Decorative Hardware opens its first showroom in Jupiter, Florida
It was the year “When Harry Met Sally.” And while the Berlin Wall was being dismantled, President George H.W. Bush took office, and Intel was releasing the 486 series microprocessor, we were opening our first showroom. In celebrating our 25th anniversary, we thank all of our friends who’ve made the journey so memorable. And while shoulder pads and acid-washed jeans have come and gone, Miller’s Fine Decorative Hardware remains on the cutting edge of design trends.

1994:
Vicki Pfeil becomes sole proprietor of Miller’s Fine Decorative Hardware
While “Forrest Gump” reminded us that life is like a box of chocolates, Norway hosted the Winter Olympics, and Nelson Mandela was elected President of South Africa, the torch was being passed to Vicki Pfeil as she became sole proprietor and CEO of Miller’s Fine Decorative Hardware. Since then, Vicki has built and expanded one of the most successful decorative plumbing and hardware showrooms in The Palm Beaches. And she did it despite the disruptive rise of e-commerce, opened a second showroom during a downturn economy, and rose to the top of the industry. Now that’s history worth celebrating!

It was the year “Titanic” hit the theaters. And while Tiger Woods became the youngest professional golfer to win the Masters, Microsoft was crowned the world’s most valuable company, and Great Britain handed back Hong Kong to China, Miller’s Fine Decorative Hardware introduced itself to the World Wide Web. It’s now our 25th anniversary and we are grateful to the many people who have made this journey possible. Although gas at $1.22 per gallon is long gone and Princess Diana and Mother Teresa are no longer with us, Miller’s Fine Decorative Hardware remains strong and steady. Here’s to many more memories and continued growth!

2006:
MFDH expands its Jupiter showroom and adds decorative tile to its collections
“Pirates of the Caribbean 2” sang alongside “Bad Day.” While Barry Bonds broke the Babe’s homerun record, Italy won the World Cup, and Google purchased YouTube for $1.65 Billion, we were increasing our Jupiter showroom space for the second time and adding brand new collections. Time flies when you’re having fun! And while the housing market has since adjusted to reality and new technologies are keeping us on our toes, Miller’s Fine Decorative Hardware remains in the forefront as the go-to source for decorative plumbing and hardware in The Palm Beaches.

2007:
MFDH is awarded DPHA Showroom of the Year and hosts its first charity fundraiser
“Harry Potter” captivated us one last time. And while Apple introduced the iPhone, Carrie Underwood won her first Grammy, and Gordon Brown became the new British Prime Minister, Miller’s Fine Decorative Hardware reached its own milestone as we were awarded ‘Showroom of the Year’ by the Decorative Plumbing & Hardware Association (DPHA). The year 2007 also set the stage for our bi-annual charity fundraisers benefitting Busch Wildlife and Big Dog Ranch Rescue that still continue today.

2011:
Miller’s Fine Decorative Hardware opens their West Palm Beach showroom
Spring of 2011 heralded the return of fairy-tale weddings as Kate Middleton married her Prince William in the UK. While romance filled the air, Space Shuttle Discovery made her final voyage, and Adele blasted the billboard charts sky high, Miller’s Fine Decorative Hardware soared to new heights as we became the exclusive Waterworks purveyor from Vero Beach to The Palm Beaches — and just in time for our new showroom’s Grand Opening in West Palm Beach!
2014:
Miller’s Fine Decorative Hardware celebrates 25 glorious years in The Palm Beaches
“Happy” by Pharrell Williams aptly headlines the billboard charts and sets the tone for our 25th anniversary celebration. While Germany won the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, Jimmy Fallon lit up The Tonight Show, and Colorado passed a new law allowing recreational marijuana, Miller’s was planning a fabulous party with colleagues and friends in our Jupiter showroom – the place where it all began in 1989. And there’s more exciting news yet to come in 2014! Thanks to all our friends and colleagues for making the 25-year journey so memorable. We could not have done it without you.
