Senior Resource Association (SRA) provides services to support and advocate for independence and dignity of older adults in Indian River County. We provide nourishment, supervised socialization, transportation and information referral services for seniors and their families. Our goal is to help keep seniors healthy and in their own homes for as long as safely possible.
ADULT DAY CARE Affordable and Licensed Senior Resource Association’s non-profit Adult Day Care centers are open to adults aged 18 and older who need supervised care in a safe and welcoming environment. Open Monday through Friday, our Vero Beach and Sebastian centers are state-licensed by the Agency of Health Care Administration (AHCA). With a caregiver-toclient ratio of 1:5, we ensure careful attention is provided to all of our clients.
Services include: • Medication distribution by Registered and Practical Nurses • Nutrition programs and education designed by a Registered Dietician • Hot, nutritious meals and snacks • Arts, music and physical fitness • Mentally stimulating games and activities • Discussion groups, including books, films and current events • Holiday and birthday celebrations • Supervised outings • Pre-arranged transportation when needed Our community-focused centers allow caregivers who need respite an opportunity to take care of their personal needs or enjoy a break from their caregiving duties while their loved one is at the center. Licensed by the state of Florida, SRA Adult Day Care centers are standard with specialized Alzheimer’s services. What is an Adult Day Care Center? Adult day care centers are designed for adults who can no longer manage independently or who are isolated and need socialization. They enable seniors, as well as younger adults with cognitive or physical disabilities, the opportunity to socialize with others while receiving supervised care services. Adult day care centers also allow caregivers temporary respite.
