WHAT EVERYONE DESERVES We all deserve access to healthcare. I have always said that holistic health is human right. That is why we are passionately committed to our mission of bringing natural medicine to global health - to all communities who deserve to have access to holistic medicine and to care that includes mind, body, spirit, community and planet. Thanks to our amazing supporters like you who have allowed us to do this work for over 15 years. NDI would like to acknowledge the students and doctors who by attending our global health courses have sustained NDI and all our projects for nearly a 15 years. If you are one of those students or docs, our sincere gratitude to you. In 2018, the crisis in Nicaragua has drastically affected our work and our services. Like many organizations working in Nicaragua, whose business model is dependent on service learning trips, NDI faces challenges in continuing our work in this region and beyond. More than ever before, NDI needs your support. As we forge key partnerships and look towards 2019 to pilot new programs, we invite you to help us make our work possible through your continued support. From the heart,
Tabatha Parker, ND President

DIOSA: ACCOMPANIMENT for victims of sexual abuse or domestic violence and human rights defense. One of the most important areas of the DIOSA program are the accompaniment services given to victims of sexual abuse and intrafamily violence. Every year, our psychologist accompanies through the legal system, patients in situations of abuse and violence that wish to prosecute their perpetrator. Every process of accompanying a victim has two paths; one is the emotional accompaniment and the approach of the trauma of the victim and the family and the other is the legal process, which does not end until the aggressor is imprisoned and prosecuted - sometimes upwards of 2 years or more.
FINANCIAL AID Due to the extreme
limited financial resources, many cases remain unresolved as families can not afford all the expenses and / or emotional support. In addition to emotional support and naturopathic are, families are provided monetary support for travel to judicial hearing during the entire process.
500+ Graduates
Due to the crisis in Nicaragua, NDI is no longer able to run our global health course that has funded our entire operation for over 15 years.

WHAT WE NEED for 2019 $3,000 / month provides ongoing support to run the clinic in Nicaragua, providing mental health services, DIOSA accompaniment services, limited natural medicine pharmacy, empowerment activities and basic backend support.
WE STAND STRONG In April of 2018 we were shocked and saddened to watch the beloved country of Nicararagua that we have served in for over a decade, suffer such devastating events. We, as many other NGOs that work in Nicaragua had hoped and prayed that the situation would resolve quickly, that a peaceful resolution through dialogue would emerge, however as many who have followed the international news, Nicaragua continues to be in situation that does not allow us to permit our main source of funding - global health service learning trips - to continue. After temporarily suspending our clinic during the heat of the crisis, our clinic is now back up and running. Our NDI Staff on the ground continues to have hope. With very limited resources, see patients, attend to families devastated from violence, and provide mental health and naturopathic integrative services. They inspire all of us and we will continue to find ways to restructure NDI to meet this challenge. We stand strong with Nicaragua and hope for peace and an end to violence. In the meantime, NDI will continue with your help. With now over 500 deaths, we honor all the youth and families that have lost loved ones during this time. We honor the refugees that have fled Nicaragua and the 1000s of political prisoners and express our deepest sympathies to all the families that have been affected.
