JANUARY 2019 Town Pump Charitable Foundation FOOD BANK FUNDRAISER REACHES NEW RECORDS

THE TOWN PUMP CHARITABLE FOUNDATION COMMITTED A RECORD $750,000 IN MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE 2018 CAMPAIGN. 83 FOOD BANKS IN 71 MONTANA COMMUNITIES RECEIVED A RECORD-SETTING $3.7 MILLION TO HELP FEED OUR HUNGRY NEIGHBORS. In 2002, the annual “Be A Friend In Deed, Helping Those In Need” food bank fundraiser was started with two goals. First, to provide funds for food banks to help our hungry neighbors and second, to raise awareness of hunger in Montana.

Town Pump understands a food bank does not keep its doors open through food donations alone. This is why we have committed to bring much needed cash funds to assist with expenses such as building rent, utilities, purchasing bulk food items and perishable food including meat, produce, dairy and bread.

All the funds raised, including the matching funds, are used locally in the communities where the funds were collected. In 17 years, more than $29 million has been given to the food banks of Montana, including nearly $6 million in matching funds committed by Town Pump. THANK YOU Montana, for your generosity during Town Pump’s 2018 campaign! For a complete list of our food bank partners, please turn to the back page.

MONTANA SCHOOLS RECEIVE MORE THAN $2.2 MILLION SINCE 2000 Children are our future! At Town Pump we recognize the importance of supporting Montana schools in their efforts to provide quality-learning environments for our children. A quality learning experience not only includes the basics of “readin’, writin’ and ‘rithmetic” but also music, art, science, drama, athletics and computer technology. The Town Pump Charitable Foundation provides grants to schools for a variety of programs that might not have adequate funding, including Close-Up, summer reading programs, field trips, etc. Through our corporate giving, we support Newspapers In Education, Booster Clubs, Chemical-Free Senior Graduation Parties, After-Prom Parties, and many other extracurricular activities.

Additionally, Town Pump sponsors schools across the state to participate in the ExxonMobil Education Alliance Grant Program. This program provides funding for math and science programs for elementary, middle and high schools. Through the Town Pump Charitable Foundation and Town Pump’s alliance with ExxonMobil, more than $2.2 Million has been given to our Montana schools since the year 2000.
