with a AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) – includes Multi-Engine Rating

Designed for experienced commercial aeroplane pilots, this course will provide students with the technical and non-technical skills to fly a multi-engine aircraft under instrument flight rules.

This 12 week course equips you with the skills and experience required to fly under instrument conditions for domestic and international airlines, emergency services and air ambulance. You will train with our experienced instructors to build and develop advancedlevel pilot licence ratings and endorsements to enhance your career opportunities. Our instrument rating consists of two distinct components – flight training and theory training. These are taught concurrently so you will master the practical while engaged with the theoretical. This AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) includes a Multi Engine Class Rating. Your flying hours (28 flying hours and 19.5 simulator hours inclusive) will be conducted in the Piper Seminole PA44, an American designed and built multiengine training aircraft. The PA44 is one of the most popular multi-engine trainers in the world and are still manufactured today. Utilising two Lycoming 360 engines, it is capable of a max cruise speed 162knots (~300km/h) and a range of 700nm (~1200km). Successful completion of this course will allow you to advance your existing aviation skills and will enable you to earn your CASA Instrument and Multi-Engine Class Ratings.
