Nature’s Escape Salon
This purpose-built salon, conveniently located at our innovative Robina campus, provides apprentices with the opportunity to put theory into practice and gain practical skills in a realworld environment. This hands-on experience ensures that they bring valuable proficiency to their workplaces.
Sustainable Salons
As a member of Sustainable Salons, we are contributing to reducing our impact on the planet by recycling all our used plastics and salon metals. These will be upcycled into products such as reading glasses and outdoor furniture, and hair is made into hair booms as a natural way to clean up oil spills on land and in oceans. This repurposing contributes to improving our impact on the environment, benefiting our planet and people.

Funding options
Free apprenticeships for under 25s*
If you are an apprentice or trainee under 25 years of age studying a priority qualification, the training fees associated with your study will be covered by the Queensland Government. To be eligible you must be employed in Queensland as an apprentice or trainee under a training contract and commence, or be undertaking, your training between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2024.
Trade skills assessment and gap training*
If you can demonstrate substantial competency in this qualification, you may be able to access funding for recognition of prior learning and gap training through the Trade Skills and Assessment Gap Training (TSAGT) program. TAFE Queensland is a proud recipient of funding from the Queensland Government, Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT) for this program.
