Green Chemistry Festival
Written by Heba Sawadi Jassim (Faculty of Medicine / University of Nahrain) On the seventh day of May was a special day, fun and useful This is my presence in the Green Chemistry Festival held at the Faculty of Education Ibn Al-Haytham / University of Baghdad, which was organized by the Department of Chemistry and supervisor by Dr. Taghreed for a group of dear students as illustrated through this festival In a simple scientific way how to benefit from natural materials And industrial waste in the new work applications, useful and harmless in our daily lives. In addition, which is reinforced by the fact that these materials are cheap and easy to access, which include in the following tested:
Prepare reagents using red cabbage as shown in this picture
How to prepare a battery using lemon fruit
Preparation of artificial clay from natural and harmless materials available to maintain the health of our children from industrial pollutants as shown in the picture below.
And other scientific experiments
We must always strive to create new and useful applications and develop a service for the public interest.

في اليوم السابع من شهر مارس كان يوم مميز وممتع ومفيد. اال وهو حضوري في مهرجان الكيمياء الخضراء المقام في كلية تربية ابن الهيثم /جامعة بغداد والذي نظم من قبل قسم الكيمياء والمشرفة عليه الدكتورة تغريد هاشم النور رئيسة جمعية الكيميائيين االمريكية فصل- العراق على مجموعة من الطلبة األعزاء وعدد من األطفال حيث وضح من خالل هذا المهرجان بطريقة علمية بسيطة كيفية االستفادة من المواد والمنتجات الطبيعية والمخلفات الصناعية في عمل تطبيقات جديدة ومفيدة وغير ضارة ايضا في حياتنا اليومية والذي يعززها كون هذه المواد رخيصة الثمن وسهولة الحصول عليها والتي تتضمن مايلي-: -
تحضير كواشف باستخدام الملفوف االحمر وكما موضح في الصورة ادناه

تحضير الطين االصطناعي من مواد طبيعية وغير ضارة ومتوفرة للحفاظ على صحة اطفالنا من الملوثات الصناعية كما موضح في الصورة
