睽違一年，永續基金會再度舉辦「2013氣候變遷國中小繪畫創作比賽」，並新納入了國小組別，希望經由孩童的作 品，讓大眾注意到當前氣候變遷及地球環境的危機，思考如何以綠色力量改變未來，讓氣候變遷不再威脅人類的生存與 發展，許給下一代美好的未來。 本次繪畫比賽國中小參賽者合計約5,000人，孩童透過筆觸發揮創造力、表達對地球的關懷。也由於作品量與質的提 高，讓評選工作更加耗時辛苦，再次感謝臺灣師範大學楊恩生教授、廖偉民教授，台灣科技大學顧洋教授及台灣大學蔣 本基教授應允擔任這次比賽評審，也感謝這次繪畫比賽中所有合作單位的付出，讓活動更臻圓滿，亦讓愛護環境、守護 地球的種子在孩童的心中發芽茁壯。 After a one year hiatus, the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE) again organized the “Climate Change Painting Competition”. It is hoped that students come to a better understanding of the issues of environmental protection & climate change. It is also hoped that through children’s art, the public becomes more aware of current climate change and the crisis of the global environment. There are, in total, approximately 5,000 students that participated in the painting competition this year. I was so surprised and amazed by their creativity and imagination while reviewing the paintings of each participant. I was also very moved to care more for the Earth because of the brush strokes of the children. Again, I want to thank all of the co-organizers of this event for their contributions to this competition— they made it more successful by planting seeds of care and love for the Earth in the hearts of children.

多年來，評選永續能源基金會舉辦的繪畫比賽，是我個人每年極為重視的大事。環境保護、氣候變遷調適，不再只 是掛在嘴邊說說的口號，有數百位的國中小老師及數千位的學生積極透過藝術傳達他們的理念與想像力，是一件符合真 、善、美的全國性環境教育的超大型活動。 向來，科學是科學，藝術是藝術，這兩條平行線能在這項比賽中結合在一起。美中不足的是藝術領域的老師要跨足 環境與能源的議題是很艱辛的，而科學領域的老師要涉入藝術更是緣木求魚了！ 因此，我積極地建議應籌辦｢教師研習營｣，透過藝術與環境教育培訓全國的｢種子教師｣，期盼未來的｢種子教師｣能 發揮｢在地｣的特色，成功地扮演起環保界的藝術推手或是藝術界的環保尖兵。 Over the past several years, I have been judging painting competitions organized by TAISE, so this annual event is of great importance to me. Environmental change and global warming issues are no longer just slogans spoken by the public; hundreds of elementary and junior high school teachers and thousands of students are using art to convey their ideas and imagination. This is a large scale activity which is in accordance with the idea of delivering truth, goodness and beauty to the nation through environmental education. I recommend that we organize a “Teacher Training Camp” in order to seek and train “seed teachers” who can promote “art and environmental protection” throughout the country. Then we hope our future "seed teachers" can maximize “local” features, and guide the role of art in the environmental community and become the vanguard of environmental protection in the art world.

ard Judge Bo 很高興我又應永續能源基金會之邀，擔任「2013氣候變遷國中小繪畫創作比賽」的評審。也許是因為繪畫並非我的 專長，當來自全國各地的作品平攤在評選場地時，真是炫麗繽紛，更讓我驚豔於這些作品的水準，好在有其他幾位評審 的共同參與，終於選出今年度的得獎作品。這些作品將會於桃園國際機場展出，讓國人及外賓出入國之大門時能夠欣賞 到這些作品的創意。 以繪畫創作方式傳達環保、氣候變遷、珍惜地球資源的觀念，經常傳達出強烈的張力及深刻的印象；過往常以「環 境污染、生態傷害」為創作方向的潮流有些改變，我特別感受到這次比賽以「共同關懷、一起努力」為主題的作品特別 豐富，而這可能也是我們目前面對環境問題最需要的態度吧！ I am so glad to be invited to serve as the judge for the 2013 Climate Change Elementary & Junior High School Painting Competition organized by TAISE. Perhaps, since I’m not a professional painter, I have been so amazed to see how brilliant, colorful and high level these works of art are! Awarded works will be exhibited at the Taoyuan International Airport so that people coming in or out of the country can have a chance to appreciate and enjoy these works of art. Compared to the theme “Environmental Pollution．Ecological Damage” usually used in the past few years, I particularly felt this year’s theme “Aware of the Earth & Working Together” was very meaningful and rich. It may also be the attitude that we need the most while facing today’s environmental issues.

本屆繪畫競賽主題「綠動奇蹟、扭轉未來」所涵蓋的概念與發揮的空間頗大，同學不僅能夠從氣候變遷、環境生態、自 然資源、節能減碳的面向思考著手，對於未來內心所企盼的綠色生活，到運用智慧科技來改善環境等想法，都可以透過彩 筆和紙張，描繪出下一個世代永續經營的資源和生活環境畫面。 因此，這次繳件作品，其想法與創意比起以往更加寬闊奔放，也讓這次的評審倍感困難。綜觀本次獲獎作品在創作主題 都能深入探討，搜集正確詳實的資料，並適當轉換成視覺語言讓畫面直接詮釋想法，另外極具巧思的構圖及選擇適當的用 色，同時樂見更多平面繪畫媒材的運用，使學生的學習與創作更加多元。而不論是歡樂、是愉快、是悲傷、是警惕亦或是 憤怒，每一道色彩都在畫面裡訴說著令人著迷的故事！ The concept covered by the theme “Going Green for a Better Future” of the 2013 painting competition is quite broad. With paint brushes and paper, students hope to improve the environment. Green living means to look forward; students not only start to think about the facets of climate change and environmental ecology, but also draw the visions for future living and the sustainable use of resources for the next generation. These visions are truly amazing. Therefore, these works, which are broader in their thoughts, implications and creativity than ever before, made the selection work even more difficult. Overall, all of these award-winning works are capable of deeply describing artistic creative ideas with absolutely stunning and amazing use of color as well as delicate structure in painting. Whether joy, anger, sorrow or happiness, every stroke of color in each work of art tells a fascinating story!

由於科技的進步與突破，人類逐漸瞭解全球氣候變遷的嚴重性，在本次繪畫競賽中，我們發現新世代孩子們對於繪 畫展現有相當地創意，優秀的孩子們將氣候變遷議題內涵充分瞭解後，再轉換成「藝術作品」，實屬難得。 本次競賽優秀作品之成功經驗，希望能加以進行「教育宣導」，期望永續能源基金會能與教育部及環保署合作共同 舉辦夏令營，培訓更多優良之教師與學生，激發出更具「整合式」與「創新式」之思維。 此外，希望基金會能將此作品成效擴散，提昇其附加價值與能見度，讓臺灣下一個世代的孩子，對「綠色環保」、 「氣候變遷」、「珍惜地球資源」等能源環境議題，能更加有所認知。 Due to the progress and breakthrough on science and technology, humans are getting to understand the impact of global climate change on ecosystem and human health. In this painting competition, I observed that the new generations exhibit their intelligent creativity on painting. Especially, I am much impressed that the distinguished children can inspire their concepts in an "art work" after fully understanding the issue and connotation of climate change. Moreover, I hope the TAISE Foundation should promote these outstanding achievements made by the winners to enhance their respective merits and visibility in Taiwan. Therefore, our next generation in Taiwan would possess cognitive powers on energy and environmental issues such as "green technology", "climate change", and "sustainable resources”.

地球大氣和海洋因溫室效應造成全球溫度上升的現象稱為 全球暖化。根據調查，大部份的科學家認為人類的生活製 造了大量的溫室氣體，如二氧化碳、甲烷等。過多的 溫室氣體會造成溫室效應，導致地球暖化，甚至發燒了！

自然環境受到文明及工業過度發展所致，溫室效應不斷升高， 地球深受威脅，藉由哭泣的企鵝來反諷人類對地球的迫害。 冰山融化了，企鵝的家也跟著不見了，企鵝哭泣…。 Natural development has been severely threatened, causing the incessant rise of the greenhouse effect due to over-development of civilization and industrialization. Through crying penguins, this work attends to satirize how the Earth is persecuted by humans. Icebergs are melting, which means the habitat of the penguins is disappearing. Penguins are therefore crying…

Through the efforts of every individual to mitigate global warming, the beautiful green appearance of Earth can be recovered. Finally, human and Nature can co-exist peacefully. Let’s make it so all life on Earth can live together forever.

If saying "Yin" represents human-made pollution, then "Yang" stands for the purity of nature, emerald green lands and the profound, unfathomable sea. Two dots inside the “Yin” and “Yang” represent the exact key point of transformation, that is, “greenness”! Growing, planting, building, nurturing and producing green can make life rich, balance the Earth’s circulation and alive forever.

『只要我們的資源永續，未來就有無限可能！』，作品 是以「人」作為現代的表徵，伴隨巨大的生物、鳥類 ( 卵 )、幽浮、高樓大廈，呈現出生物世代的演進，再造 一道與未來相連的橋，表達萬物永久傳承演化的意涵； 特別感謝林家瑜老師全程指導，讓我有機會使用不同的 創作媒材 - 壓克力版，讓想法完整呈現。 "As long as the sustainability of our resources exists, there are infinite possibilities for the future!”. Based on the "human" as a modern character, along with huge creatures, such as birds (eggs), UFOs and skyscrapers, this work presents the evolution of biology. A bridge connecting with the future expresses the meaning of the permanent heritage of all livings.
