Project Details: During the energy audit and analysis takasolutions found due to the system types, consumption habits, contractual arrangements and occupancy, the chilled water consumption of the building was much higher than it should have been. This had a large impact on the owners profitability and value of the asset. Through upgraded equipment and systems, and ongoing energy management the building has reduced its energy consumption by close to 40% to-date.

Building Use: School Location: Al Khail Rd - Dubai, UAE Services Provided: solar radition, daylighting analysis, energy modeling & analysis Project Details: takasolutions was hired to study the energy impact of the architectural fins designed on the project facade. After our analysis, we proposed the position, spacing, angle, quanitity and material of the fins to accomplish the lowest energy consumption and cost while maintaining adequate natural daylight quality and quantity for the interior classrooms. The optimizing of the fins helped to reduce cooling loads and system size of the HVAC equipment, reducing capital costs and operating cost over the life of the project through reduced energy consumption. The total number of fins was reduced helped to reduce construction cost of the project.
