GOING THROUH THE FOBI WHAT CAUSES “THE FEAR OF BEING IRRELEVANT”?
By Nompumelelo Sharyn Masinga Now the big question is “what could possibly be We all know of the well-known FOMO also known as “The Fear of Missing Out”, now there is FOBI “the fear of being irrelevant” a bigger fear effecting the youth culture. Today’s world is filled with so much information with so many social platforms for the youth to get as much information on what’s going on around them, around the world and the multiple trendy news. Yet some young people around the world still go through the ‘FOBI’. This fear can be cause by the anxiety of not being able to be a part of the ‘conversation’ or what everyone else knows, this alone can be a source of young people looking for relevant information in irrelevant platforms. This in turn leads to entering into discussions or topics with the wrong information which is then discussed both online and offline, without fully understanding the merits of the subject or how correct the information discussed can be. There is so much pressure to be relevant and know what is trending and what’s outdated and as the saying goes “news travel fast”, note that news also gets boring and dated faster, and while the focus is on one thing, another arises. Nevertheless, as all other fears this “fear of
being irrelevant” can be conquered, By keeping on learning, by understanding
the world around you read more enlightening books, newspapers or magazines or whichever channel that does it for you, go for it, and keeping yourself informed through appropriate platforms.
Keeping a look out for trends, these days’ changes occur very fast nonetheless, keep a look out for the relevant trends and not just any news. Don’t be too hard on yourself not knowing everything, we are not robots and it is
impossible for one to know everything and anything, sometimes we just need a break from it all, give yourself time to rest and relax without worrying about what is happening on the internet, staying in and taking a break from it all once a while is good for you and realizing this will get you a step closer toward loosing that FOMO feeling.
The moment you get back from your internet break, you will realize that you might not actually be missing out,
about missing out on is really not relevant and does not affect you. If you have missed out on the hype about the news trends or who is doing what, you will learn that the internet does not delete what was being talked about the previous day so in other words you are not missing out on anything, keep that in mind before you let yourself get too distressed. And lastly you are human and it is normal to feel irrelevant at times but that does not mean there is something wrong with you, calm down breath and come into terms that there is so much information out there to be carried by just one human being, what you know, someone else might not know this is why we need each other to share information. Say NO to FOBI.

4tlb Steak and Chops Spice 2 tlb Garlic and Garlic 3tlb Sugar Salt & Pepper Oil
52 Bunches Spinach – chopped Tub crunchy Peanut Butter 2tlb Crushed Garlic & Ginger ½ Chopped Onion Salt & Pepper
Mix the dry ingredients together and mix with Garlic and Garlic
500g Gnocci Pasta (or any) 250g Red Kidney Beans 250g Sweet Corn ½ Diced Onion ¼ Lemon Chopped Coriander ¾ Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 large Tomatoes
Coat the meat with the spices and let it sit for 30 – 40 minutes. Put on the grill and base with Garlic oil for 10 minutes on each side on medium heat. Will give you a medium to well done meat.
Boil the pasta for 10 minutes or till soft. Drain the water in a cellander and wash off starch with cold water. Drain and drizzle oil to the pasta so it does not stick together.
Fry onion and garlic. Add spinach a hand full at a time and a table spoon of Peanut Butter after a few hand full of Spinach. When cooked through add salt and pepper to taste.
Open the can of Red Kidney Beans and Sweet Corn, wash off the brain and add them to the pasta along with the onion. Chop and deseed the tomato, mix together with the Pasta, add the chopped coriander, mix the oil and lemon juice, mix the salad and ready to serve.

4 END RAPE CULTURE An abuser is seen as a monster, and a monster is defined: a large, ugly and frightening imaginary creature.
By Florah Matsile Now the big question is “what could possibly be worse than a monster? What’s more terrifying? More ugly? More frightening?” but the answer to that is pretty simple. A monster is someone whom witnesses another human being suffer and silently endure the abuse by another person but does NOTHING about it because “It’s none of my business”. We live in a world where a woman getting beaten by her domestic partner has become a common thing, where a neighbour gets sexually assaulted by her family member and a learner getting molested by her teacher appears more frequent in the news. We live in a world where women are surrounded by men, men who violate their rights on a daily. A society where someone (a third party) is seeing all this, has their suspicions right about what they think might be going on, has witnessed his friend abuse his girlfriend, has seen his neighbour touching his niece in a way that makes her feel uncomfortable, but does nothing about it because he is the leader of the family and breadwinner of the house. This witness does nothing because the man is probably a well-respected member of the community, a pastor at their church or a political leader of a certain party whom promised them jobswhatever the case might be, the point is these are men in power and whom are well-defined by their status which enables them to do almost anything, anywhere and anytime. We live in a society where we’d rather turn a blind eye on a BAD person and overlook their toxic behaviour just because “he’s my boss and I can’t risk losing my job” or “if he goes to jail how is this household going to survive?” meanwhile the victim could be dying. Statistics have proved that not much is being done about the injustices that the women undergo as the numbers of rape, murder, physical and mental abuse continue to rise, mostly because a lot of people ‘choose’ to ignore it simply because it’s not happening to them or their loved ones or they would rather not get involved and jeopardise the relationship they have with the perpetrator. This shows that whatever method applied in hopes of eradicating violence against women by men, has had no luck in being anything close to a success and is in fact only worsening the situation. It shows that that the women are under siege and that there are still large numbers of Bad Men roaming the streets of Mzansi and the rest of the world. It is proof that something has to be done, something different and effective,
it means the time for Good Men to step in is NOW and take initiative in leading and actually contributing towards rehabilitating and educating bad men and everyone else who “blame it “ on the victim and question how the entire incident unfolded, making excuses for the perpetrator on some “what was she wearing?” or “no he probably was drunk to a point where he lost complete control over himself” or even “argh you know boys will be boys”. While people are busy justifying rape, the number of women who experience sexual offences keeps escalating drastically and increase in less than twenty-four months.
It’s really been a while and the wold’s still crying “women abuse is wrong” and yet nothing is changing so it is now the responsibility of good men to ensure a safer, warmer and beautiful environment for all because telling women “if a man is abusing you stay away. Stay away from him because the future holds a better one for you”. A ‘better one in the future’? How? When so little is done that there’s no tiny possibility of a better future. How? When bad fathers are still teaching their little boys “respect girls because they are your future wives” and not because they are actually PEOPLE before anything? That there is a whole lot we are capable of amounting to than just marriage.
Okay so when I asked the fam what they think a ‘Good man’ is I was happy to hear one of my guy friends define a good man as a man that does not abuse, a man that takes care of his home as well as his house. A man that takes care of the women in his life, lol where’s the smiling emoji when I need it the most? Okay anyway, so a ‘bad man’ would be the complete opposite right? So then it really is the good men’s duty to teach these bad men that a woman is to be treasured, make them aware of toxic masculinity and show them a woman’s vagina is to be respected. It is now up to the good men to stop tolerating abuse by their homies and stand up for what is right and good. It if the process results in losing a few friends, then so be it. Human Rights matter, women’s rights matter too. A plea to stop telling women “pick better men” and start telling men to be better men.

Becoming an eco-tourist starts when you decide to travel in a manner that shows admiration to nature and respecting wildlife. Ecotourism is a form of tourism involving visiting fragile and pristine areas.
Here are a few tips to consider when embarking into your eco-tourism journey.

Pack only what you need, keep in mind that carbon emission is produced by the more the airplane weighs. “every kilo counts when flying”.
Support local businesses: Buy a local brand t-shirt, go to the local pub and order a low carbo beer or meal whatever your itinerary add some local vibe to it.
Make your carbon footprint a tone lighter by cancelling that 6-hour flight and opting to use a more ecofriendly mode of transport, such as traveling by bicycle.
Go for tapped clean water and dodge bottled water: If its impossible to get hold of a running tap, try buying a re-usable water bottle and re-use it whenever you decide to go out for a tour or a short breezy walk. Keep in mind that “plastic bottles accounts for a lot of waste”.
Stick to the trail: Avoid going off path when going for a hike ensure that you are always on the marked route this is so you can maintain a harmless distance from any animals you may come across. this is to ensure the safety and protection of endangered plans or animals.
Control the numbers:
Practice travelling in smaller groups, these tend to have a lesser environmental impact which is also environmentally friendly.

FINDING THE PERFECT COLOR TO WEAR FOR YOUR SKIN TONE

hoosing the right colour of clothing that matches your skin tone can allow you to look refined without having your skin look washed out or faded however, this does mean you should restrict yourself from trying out other colours in your closet so go wild nonetheless. Here are selected guidelines to help you find the perfect clothing colour to match your skin tone.
Light skin toned.
Medium toned skin. Fair, peach and olive undertones make up this skin tone. This skin tone is more medium colour, not too dark and not too light. Perfect colours for this skin tone are warm and earth tone colours like brown, orange, green, blue and tan kaki. Don’t be afraid to pair these colours up with some of your gold jewelry.
This is the type of skin tone that is very light and often has very little melanin pigmentation. Clothing colours such as your bright blues, greens, abysmal purples, dusty pink or rose red will work well with this type of skin tone. However, dark colours like black can fade out light skin and are best avoided.
Dark skin toned. Dark skin tone as known as deep complexion, this skin colour is more rick in melanin pigments. Complementary colours for this skin tone are dark purple or plum, black, dark brown gold, light blue and red.
Fair skin toned. Fair skin tone is very similar to the light skin tone, however, it has a more beige or creamy undertone to it. Colours that best suit this type of skin tone are all the off-white tones such as vanilla, Navajo white, eggshell and cream.

Symptoms and Treatment For Coronary Heart Disease (CHD)

Coronary Heart Disease occurs when the major heart arteries that supply the heart with blood, oxygen and other nutrients swell up or rupture (break open). ByAyanda Nxonga At the event where your arteries swell, there is less oxygen or blood passing through to your heart. And when the arteries rupture, atherosclerosis takes place, this is when plaque build-up in your blood vessels when they are damaged, this happens to restore the rupture. A lot of plaque can block the way for the blood or oxygen to pass through.

nflammation and cholesterol containing deposits (plaque) are usual suspects in blocking coronary arteries. Cholesterol is a sterol lipid produced by the liver and transported to the bloodstream to the membranes of all animal cells. It plays a role in many biochemical processes, and as a lipoprotein that coats the walls of blood vessels. When cholesterol plaque build up in your ruptured blood vessels, a blockage occurs and a decrease in blood supply to your heart causes shortness of breath, chest pains and other artery diseases with its signs and symptoms. A complete blockage can cause a heart attack. Being diagnosed with Coronary heart Disease poses a serious threat to life, it however can be prevented and managed, and you can also reduce the chances of sudden death due to heart problems, and also damaging your heart because of reduced oxygen supply and irregular heartbeat, known as arrhythmias. Living with CHD requires an adjustment to your life; you need to change your diet to stay on top of this disease. You need to eat healthy foods, quit smoking, be physically active, manage your body weight as well a stress. Work well with your doctor to reduce your blood pressure and manage your blood cholesterol and also manage your blood sugar levels. People who live with CHD tend to have depression, anxiety, fear and stress. You need to get a counsellor; a professional that can help you manage your daily life. You can also join a patient support group and get tips from other people who are living with the same condition as you. Talking to your friends and family can also relieve you of much stress. Let them know that you have a heart disease so that they would know what to do in times of emergency.
• Chest Pains
Also known as angina, it feels like being squeezed or someone standing on your chest. You feel pressure on the middle to the left side of your chest. Angina is usually triggered by hard physical stress and emotional stress. This pain usually lasts for a few minutes and it disappears, in women, you may feel a sharp or fleeting pain in the neck, arm or your back.

• Shortness of breath Due to the blockage, your heart will not be able to pump sufficient oxygen needed for the use of the body and you may experience shortness of breath and extreme fatigue with exertion
Simply being a man puts you at greater risk of getting coronary artery disease compared to women. However, the risk for women increases after menopause.
• Family history
Belonging to a family with a history of heart diseases puts you at a higher risk. More especially if it is your close relatives that have had heart diseases, it is even worse when it is your siblings. So the closer the relative, the greater risk you are at.
• Smoking
People who smoke are significantly at a higher risk of heart disease. Passive smokers also stand a chance to contract heart disease.
• High blood pressure
Uncontrolled high blood pressure can cause your arteries to be hard and thicken, which in turn narrows the channel through which blood flow.
• High blood cholesterol levels
High levels of cholesterol in your blood vessels can lead to increased plague in your vessels which will consequently block the way through which blood flow. High levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, also known as bad cholesterol can cause high cholesterol building up in your arteries. Low level of good cholesterol, which is high-density in lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, can be an agent in causing heart disease.
• Obesity
This simply puts you in a high risk bureau. You need to maintain a healthy weight to prevent or manage CHD.
• Physical inactivity
Lack of exercise increases the risk of contracting heart disease and other risk factors of its own.
• High stress
Unmanaged stress in your life may cause damages in your heart arteries and as well increase or worsen other risk factors for coronary artery disease.
• Unhealthy diet
Diet in itself can prevent or help manage a lot of health problems. It is also the case in CHD. Eating too much of unhealthy foods like fats, trans fat and sugar can increase your risk of contracting CHD.
• Heart Attack
In cases where there is a complete blockage in your blood vessels, you will have a heart attack. The common signs and symptoms of heart attack are pains in your shoulder or arm, shortness of breath and a crushing pressure in your chest.
• Abnormal heart rhythm
Also known as arrhythmia. When there is insufficient supply of blood to heart tissues can hinder your heart’s electrical impulse, causing abnormal heart rhythms.
