Keeping the Lake Safer & Cleaner
Your visit to Lake Martin is safer and cleaner because Lake Martin Resource Association volunteers maintain more than 400 hazard buoys and sponsor monthly cleanups to enhance your experience here. Nearly half of the marine patrol approved buoys are lighted for nighttime navigation to help you safely return to the lake house or campground after viewing a spectacular sunset or dining under the stars at a lakeside restaurant. Volunteers regularly patrol the lake’s watershed, as well as the lake itself, to prevent trash from washing into the lake and to clean up any trash that finds its way to the water. Please help LMRA with its mission to provide a safe, clean environment for your enjoyment. Respect hazard buoys by keeping a 100-foot distance and properly dispose of trash on and off the lake. Doing so helps LMRA to make Lake Martin a great place to live, work and play!
