Wind Creek State Park
Wind Creek State Park’s 1,445 acres hug the shoreline of Lake Martin and provide a recreational mecca and anglers’ paradise. One of the largest state-owned campgrounds in Alabama, WCSP offers affordable rates and recreational amenities to keep visitors playing at the lake for weeks.
There is much to do at Wind Creek State Park, such as the Screaming Eagle Aerial Adventure Tour, a twotiered canopy attraction with 11 zip lines, six sky walks and daring bridge walks. The canopy tour promises a bird’s-eye view of the lake and an exhilarating ride.
Wind Creek has a public beach, fishing pier, and offers boat rentals at their marina. Rockin’ K LLC offers guided trail rides on horseback for groups of up to four riders, an archery range and tons of activities. A must do at Wind Creek is climbing the silo, where you will get an amazing view of the lake. Other activities include a putt-putt course and nature workshops. Several fishing tournaments take place at the park also every year. WCSP includes 320 acres devoted to 586 campsites, all of which offer water and electrical hook ups and 157 of which are right on the lake. There are 39 premium sites that include waterfront access, water, sewer, electrical and television service, as well as extralong pads to accommodate large RV units. Seven cozy camping cabins are available year-round, and the park offers Timberline Glamping accommodations as well.
WCSP is a staple and a must see destination while visiting the Lake Martin area.
