schedule and facilities. All are based on the latest research in growth mindset, retention and development. This includes providing our students with a technologically advanced atmosphere conducive to collaboration, student engagement and creativity by way of active learning environments.
academic concentrations in the areas of STEM, Global Studies, Humanities and
Arts provide in-depth exploration of these fields. Students select classes from a body of relevant coursework, participate in one of several extracurricular activities and attend related events. The underlying goal is to equip graduating students with a range of experiences that prepare them for further opportunities in these fields, while also fulfilling Tampa Prep’s graduation requirements, all with a higher purpose than self.
The most modern aspect of a Tampa Prep education, however, is its location in the heart of downtown Tampa which allows experiential learning opportunities not found at any other school in the Tampa Bay area. For example, students in Civics class can walk to the Hillsborough County Courthouse to see their lessons in action, and Anthropology students can walk to the local Ethiopian restaurant to immerse themselves in an African culture.
