TRANSFER ASSEMBLIES ORIENTATION PART TWO
WHAT TO EXPECT We'll be offering two onboarding sessions prior to check-in. First is a guided campus tour, led by fellow students. Second, a Jagwire Navigation session. Jagwire is the system you will use to find and utilize campus resources, registration, your new student email and account information.
After check in and welcome, we'll move you into our dining hall for an info fair. We introduce you to some of our campus departments, resources and student organizations. Concluding the fair, you'll be moved back into the auditorium for a Transfer Student & staff panel; where you'll have the chance to ask about their experience.
WHAT ARE ASSEMBLIES?
Transfer assemblies are the second part of orientation. It's a one-day, on campus experience hosted to help acclimate you to the A&M-SA family. We strive to help welcome all new and incoming transfer students and their families to our institution and provide them with resources and foundational knowledge to make you successful in your educational journey. Full schedule on page 5.
JOIN THE TRADITION
Once we equip you with the information you need to be successful on campus, we invite you to join in on the fun and tradition. A&M-SA honors the different experiences transfer students bring and that's why we invite families to attend and share in the experience of signing the scroll, a transfer tradition - learn more on pg.6

Silver Liners Mentorship Program
Mentorship Program Slogan
What we offer
The mentorship program is designed to pair up incoming transfer students to a transfer student who has already successfully completed a semester or more at A&M-SA. This gives you a friend and ally, someone you can ask questions who's only a text away. Often times, we pair you based off your major or your student-parent or military status, so you have someone you are similar to, to guide you through your transition year.
More than mentorship
While we offer mentorship as a main priority, we often times see friendships flourish. We offer events for professional development, community engagement, and volunteer opportunities and someone to attend these events with; your mentor! We offer guidance and preparation for a professional life after graduation. We highly recommend you get a mentor to make this semester successful and easier.
THANK YOU
Thank you to all of our Silver Liner Mentorship members, without your help at the assemblies the incoming transfers would have a big missing piece of this experience. Volunteering your time to guide them around campus, share your experiences and be a part of their success stories, is a vital piece of our program, so we thank you for doing so, so enthusiastically.
