Transfer Engagement & Advocacy Mentors T

E

A M

T.E.A.M. Summary The Transfer Engagement & Advocacy Mentorship (T.E.A.M.) Program was designed to prioritize the success of transfer students’ academic health. The program pairs transfer students in a Mentor/Mentee relationship in which the interaction provides accountability, interpersonal relationship building, and support for both. The main role of the Mentor would be a case manager connecting the student with resources, identifying gaps in support, and playing a small role in the communication with the professors of the students. The main role of the Mentee is to provide information regarding the progress of their classes, identify and discuss any obstacles they encounter, attend programming events tailored to transfer students’ needs, and finally to incorporate their knowledge from these things into their academic journey through persistence to ensure academic success.
