National Sales: Michael Henseler

Dear reader, Every two years our umbrella organisation the IVST e.V.,the German road equipment association, organises a plenum for public administrations, industry and users where the latest themes in traffic safety are discussed. It is also a recognised meeting place for the national sector with political resonance. The next conference will already be the eighth edition. Hitherto the industry has only had access to limited premises (usually the lobby of the conference venue) for the exhibition and presentation of the very latest developments. This has made it difficult for the industry to demonstrate the latest technical innovations to representatives of public administrations and users in a realistic setting. Following constructive talks between industry and the IVST, conference participants will now be able attend a trade fair as well as to listen to specialist presentations.

DeuSAT 2017 – the start of THE leading German traffic safety fair!

In hall 11.1 right beside Congress Centre East of the Koelnmesse exhibition centre over 70 leading producers will present their latest products to trade visitors - and for us as a German manufacturer it is a heartfelt desire rather than a duty to support the start-up of a leading German trade fair. It is our pleasure to invite you to the fair from the 8th to the 9th of March 2017 at the Koelnmesse exhibition centre – we are preparing a separate invitation for you which you will receive at the beginning of 2017.

It has taken a long time - in fact, too long - but as the saying goes - good things come to those who wait.

I hope you all enjoy reading our newsletter and wish you a successful and pleasant autumn and a Merry Christmas.

Oliver Tauffenbach, Commercial Director and Associate

For years Nissen and the accompanying industry have been calling for a leading German trade fair as part of DeuSAT. Innovations, patents and products in our industry all originate in Germany: directives for the securing of workplaces on roads, technical delivery conditions and countless state decrees that now form the basis of national manuals in many European countries were all developed in Germany. All that has been missing is a leading trade fair that is, until now. What could be more appropriate than to organise THE leading trade fair here in our country, not just for Germany but also - in the medium term - for Europe and the rest of the world. The IVST and the industry are pointing the way forward by bringing together public administrations, users and the industry in the central meeting place of Cologne. From the 8th to the 9th of March 2017 decision-makers, planners and users from all sectors will gather to attend specialist presentations and discuss innovations on site at the “deutscher Straßenausstattertag 2017” (German Road Equipment Conference). We will be present at a 100 m2 stand - twice as large as our stand at Intertraffic 2016 - where our expert staff will be available to provide advice on the latest developments in road traffic safety and management. Amsterdam was yesterday – Cologne is the future, Cologne has fantastic potential! www.deusat.de NEWS-FLASH 02/2016 | www.nissen-germany.com

National Sales:

Introducing Michael Henseler An interview with Mr Michael Henseler, Commercial Sales Director Hello Mr Henseler. You've been with us since the end of last year – it's time for you to introduce yourself to our readers and to tell us about your career prior to joining Nissen. Mr Henseler: My name is Michael Henseler, I'm 48 years young and married with two children. I started my professional career in a chemicals company as a trainee industrial management assistant in Cologne. Next came stints in Munich and Frankfurt. Whilst in Frankfurt I studied in the evenings to qualify as a business economist. I then lost my heart to our industry in 1992. Until 2015 I got to know and appreciate the market as a branch manager and individually authorized representative and later as a sales director for a manufacturer of barrier systems. Since December 2015 I've been a member of the Nissen family. As Commercial Sales Director I'm aiming to draw on all my professional experience to improve our performance. What are your current responsibilities with Nissen and what are your future goals?

1216 · 20161207 // 169098 // tangram-werbeagentur.de

Mr Henseler: My main task is to grow and strengthen the commercial business. Having successfully worked in the corresponding sales channels for 100 years, the major challenge we now face is to meet the ever-growing demands of the market. To achieve this constant changes will be required, supported and driven by wide-ranging investment and structural adaptations by Nissen. My goal is to be a problem solver and to successfully address all our customers' concerns. This can only be achieved if the customer remains of pivotal importance in all our planning and actions. With this in mind, customer proximity is of the essence. In keeping with our standing as a full-range supplier, we are expanding our entire product portfolio. Rather than being the result of internal meetings, these additions reflect the wishes of our customers. We strive to offer premium quality products that meet present and future needs and are exceptionally useful in all respects for our customers. Another objective is to further grow our company's market presence. With our innovative approach to business we aim to be market leader in all sales channels in the sector. The entire sales team looks forward to transmitting the enthusiasm in our company to our customers. Many thanks for your time and interesting insights. The interview was conducted by Maike Dietz
