URBAN SCAR The scar or main axis, should heal the area. Urban plan of the area is designed to look and feel like combination of old town and Kalamaja grid. The highest point of the area is the market building, marking the oldest tradition of the area.
LANGUAGE Space of the city can be understood as a medium of communication, as a sistem of messages and signs about how a person should act. We are extending our bodies through our clothes, living spaces, and finaly cities. The space is spreading from the path, use of the roofs, parks, making new public spaces.

A LISBON ATLAS FOR CONTEMPORARY MUSEUM
B
The aim of the atlas is to show different perspective in experiencing the city. The street is mirrored in the sky, with all of it’s iregularities and angles that can’t be seen when we simply walk on it. The diversity of buildings in one street also becomes very clear. Their heights, the change of them, the curves of the street and the way the buildings are positioned on the street. Atlas is divided in five typologies: straight street, intersection, T-junkction,

The place for the project is in the heart of Bairro Alto, the intersection between Travess do Poco da Cidade and Rua Diario de Noticias. Although this area of the city is very popular and touristic, there is still big number of houses that are waiting for the rentovation, and are in the state of ruins at the moment. The project is placed in between two of those buildings. By using the abanodoned buildings, the atention is drawn to them and they get a new, temporary life. The street do Poco da Cidade is already very narrow on that point, but it’s made even more narrow, to the point it’s only 2 meter wide, using only the street and hiding the side walks. The walls are 5 meters tall, with the sloped continuation, that makes shade and play with light. Considering the street is orientation East - West it will have sun the whole day, and the light will change as the sun moves. Continuing down the street, the walls spread towards the buildings and show a door into a new space, that is mysterious and unknown. The person enters a cubic frame with only one door and no ceiling, with high walls, that make a frame to the sky. The space is a relief from the noise aorund, and only focus is peace, simplicity and connection that nature brings.

UMA CASA PARA NENHUM LUGAR / EARTH House is closed and hidden from outside, but made out of open and intertwined spaces inside. Through the walking path, the spaces change from more compressed to decompressed one by one. The spaces are developed in a spiral shape towards the sky. Dynamics, inside the static object. The light gets in through the roof. The shape is a cube, a pure shape. Contrast made with shape of alienation and the core of habitation.

HALLWAY | SERRA the long and narrow entrance hallway opens into a larger, heavy and static, space to make a connection with sculpture. Serra masterpiece is positioned in a way that is guiding the path into common space.
COMMON ROOM | ROTHKO the space opens up, it’s high and bright, All of the communications of the house are connected to this space. Rothko piece can be perseved from more than one perspective. The space has a monumentral feeling.
KITCHEN | MASACCIO Masterpiece is centered beneath a chimney, that is also used to bring light inside the room. From the entrance into the room, the painting is the first thing visible. Space is simple, cubic, made to put accent on the painting.
BATHROOM| EYCK positioned in the heart of the house, this space has hamam atmosthere hiding the painting of Eyck. Mysteious feeling made for the painting. Arched roof brings in soft rays of light. The bath is a pool, making the water surface beneath the painting
BEDROOM | RICHTER the room on the highest point of the house, looking into the common room. The spiral of spaces in the houses finishes with this one, that gets closest to the skylight opening. The paiting of Bety turning back is the end of the path.
