TAOS MUNICIPAL SCHOOLS 2021-2022
Calling all Taos Tiger Fans! This year, Taos Municipal Schools Athletics is planning for a regular season with some possible safety measures still in place under NMAA guidance to continue to mitigate the impact of COVID-19. When it comes to decision-making, our commitment is to protect the health and safety of our athletes under the “Return to Play” activities. The mission of Taos Tiger Athletics is to continue to provide athletes with experiences that offer all students additional opportunities to develop their physical and mental capacities beyond those provided by our fine academic programs. Furthermore, through sports and other extracurricular activities, students may learn the value of hard work, discipline, team building, sportsmanship, leadership, and other positive attributes that strengthen one’s character. The Athletic Department will strive to provide students with the best possible opportunity for a rewarding and positive experience. As “Return to Play” activities resume, Taos Municipal Schools Athletics will continue to provide exciting ways for fans to participate and cheer on our Taos Tigers. The tools implemented this past year to provide cashless preferred options for purchasing tickets and online streaming will continue providing our fans a variety of ways to support our Taos Tiger Athletes. Look for a possible new addition of the “Food Fan” APP where a fan can order food via the app, pay via the app, and then get notification of food pick up at the concession stand alleviating long lines and missing any game-time action. To participate in Taos Municipal Schools (TMS) athletic programs, both the student- athlete and parents/guardians must complete the TMS Athletic Participation Forms, and the student-athlete must have insurance. This year we have gone paperless, and all athletic forms must be completed via “Rank One” (https://www.rankonesport.com/ content/). Any additional forms or required paperwork such as course certificates and additional verification must be uploaded to the site. Before the student-athlete is allowed the privilege to participate in any of our programs, they must complete all the requirements. more information please call 751-8030.
