International Master Class – Experiencing Architecture 2015-2016 The international master class is a special program that offers students an opportunity to work alongside a guest instructor of international standing (master architect), who has demonstrated both a high degree of recognized design excellence and a strongly articulated position in research and practice within the field. The program focuses on an intensive design workshop presented and curated by an invited guest architect, it offers students an opportunity to develop particular skills relevant to the research interests of the guest instructor. The program is parked under optional subject Experiencing Architecture which offered to final year students with moderate or good analytical and planning skills as well as the ability to present to general public with greater fluency and accuracy language. With our 1st year completion of the program, SABE had established our first field school in 2015 at Kuala Sepetang – an on-site laboratory of ideas where students and academicians partner with design professionals in the exploration of new design possibilities in the endless realm of innovation. The once unwelcoming space has now turned into an airy courtyard that quickly attracts local residents as a gathering point

Philosophy: The Social Responsible Architecture We believe that architecture can create better places, that architecture can affect society, and it can even have a role in place making by making a community more livable. We believe we can have a significant role in improving the well-being of communities by being involved with nonprofit organization. We believe a social responsible architect/ designer can be cultured through academic activities and constant reminder of who we are as part of a larger world.

It offers an alternative approach to thinking about cities, how they are formed and how they function. Dwelling here is designed in line with the chosen city that could only be appreciated in mind.
