You need to candidly talk about the strengths and weaknesses of a team and those of a particular member in the team. This will help you to store trust on your team and will identify areas that need improvement. In addition to these points, you should also set targets and benchmarks. Also, make sure that you jot down properly and post them at a place that is visible to everyone. Before you decide on the targets, everyone should see them and rectify any ambiguities. They can also contribute to adjustments of targets. When your team succeeds with these goals, make sure you give some incentive or reward to the team as a whole, so that everyone has a good sense of achievement for working towards a common goal.
