For this reason Tassullo has started several research projects, including:

THE RESTORATION OF MODERN BUILDINGS Tassullo has signed a research protocol with MiBAC (Ministry of Heritage and Cultural Activities) to identify and test methodologies for the restoration and the conservation of contemporary architecture. CONSOLIDATION OF HISTORICAL MASONRY Tassullo cooperates with the University of Padova at the laboratories ENEA in Rome in order to test the behaviour of historic masonry buildings subjected to seismic stress and formulate appropriate restoration technologies. DISWALL AND SEISMIC IMPROVEMENT An international project that has developed innovative

technologies and new building

processes in the field of seismic improvement of new constructions.

NATU RA L NH L 3 .5 CERTIF IED L IGH T H YDRA U L IC L IME

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS: FENIX NHL5 is a high quality and high purity product obtained by firing and quenching exclusively marl-limestone extracted using modern technologies from natural banks, accurately following the teachings of our heritage. NHL FENIX 5 features a warm and unmistakable hazelnut color, which is the distinguishing feature of natural hydraulic lime. The low salt content and the very low content of free lime ensure compliance to the chemical and physical characteristics of original masonry due to the absence of reactivity, which does not trigger degradation mechanisms. FENIX NHL 5 is the basis for the best mortars for renovations and for all the products that are part of the Tassullo Fenix Calcerestauro line.

Ti-253

IDROTASS

DU A L COMPONENT WATERPROOF L EVEL ING

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Ti-253 is a primer for the corrosion protection of reinforced concrete and it prevents degradation associated to corrosion of metal reinforcing element. Ti-253 is a water based compound, effective on all types of steel used for armored reinforcement of concrete; it contains no nitrites, solvents, it does not create a vapor barrier and it is not flammable.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS: IDROTASS is a dual component product based on special hydraulic binders, selected aggregates with maximum granulometry of 0.6 mm and special additives in water dispersion; it is suitable to perform leveling operations that are waterproof, carbon dioxide and vapor proof; it has high deformability and priming qualities. IDROTASS is compliant to Italian Ministerial Decree 10/05/2004.

FIELD OF APPLICATION: Ti-253 is a liquid treatment to be applied by spray or brush to the exposed concrete surfaces or concrete surfaces detected by scarification before renovation, using TASSULLO TCA30/T thixotropic mortar or TASSULLO TCA-MI passivating thixotropic mortar with corrosion inhibitors, in order to extend the protective action to the adjacent zones of the plate block under reconstruction. If Ti-253 is applied on the concrete surface, it will migrate through the porous structure near the metal armor protecting it from corrosion. Ti-253 can increase the lifespan of the structures in reinforced concrete up to 70%.

FIELD OF APPLICATION: IDROTASS is used as a protective and waterproofing leveling product to be applied to surfaces, tanks, vertical and horizontal concrete slabs (waterproofing retaining walls and waterproofing before laying tiles), on sand and cement floor screeds, blocks or plasters based on hydraulic binders that require protection from water absorptions or water infiltrations.

ADVANTAGES: - high protection of reinforcing rods - easy to apply - it can be left exposed as a finishing HOW TO APPLY IT: Ti-253 must be applied by spray or brush to vertical or horizontal surfaces after having carefully washed and cleaned those areas in order to remove dust, oil, grease, release agents, old paints, etc. Low absorbent concrete must be treated with two coats applied 7 ÷ 8 hours after each other. Wash the treated surface through water jet before restoring using TASSULLO TCA3 / T, TCA MI, TP-551 on the dry surface. Ti-253 is compatible with all TASSULLO products for the restoration of reinforced concrete.

ADVANTAGES: - elastic - waterproof - de-icing salt resistant

- highly protective - easy and quick to apply

HOW TO APPLY IT: IDROTASS must be applied to clean surfaces using a metal spatula and in layers with a thickness of approx. 2 mm each. Any subsequent coat must be applied after the first application is cured (approx 12-24 hours). It is advisable to use reinforcing meshes in fiberglass with a weight greater than 150 g/m² at the presence of surfaces that show cracks caused by hydraulic shrinkage or that are subject to thermal deformation or static settling.
