Inside the cupboard where all the porcelains were neatly kept . . .

. . . a conflict had smouldered for many years.

The creatures painted in Red and Blue did not like one another.

They lived as separate as they could. Reds with the Red, Blues with the Blue – their world divided by colour.

This hostility had been passed down from generation to generation for so long, the reasons why had been lost. The Reds hated the Blues and the Blues hated the Reds.

Maybe it was because each believed themselves to be better than the other.

Or they thought they were very different, and for this reason they didn’t belong together.

But one day the Blues wanted something that only the Reds had – they wanted their luxurious Red garden.

“Why should they have fancy picnics and giant strawberries?” whispered the bunny. ”All this should be ours!”, added the little girl. Then she had an idea.

She secretly gathered all the Blues to share her plan: to paint everything and everyone Blue. This devious plan would make everything theirs and everyone like them.
