Laem Tanot, Mu Ko Lanta National Park This viewpoint is a cape with a white lighthouse at the far end that acts as a symbolic landmark of Ko Lanta. Highlight: The sunset view from the lighthouse offers a romantic sea view of the evening sunlight shining on the sea.

Phi Phi
Viewpoint Staying on Phi Phi Island, then the Phi Phi Viewpoint is the best place to see the last sunset of the year. Simply walk through the shops area of Ao Ton Sai and head to the viewpoint on the hill. Highlight: Sunset view and the 2 bays of Ao Ton Sai and Ao Loh Dalam can be seen from Phi Phi Viewpoint 2.

Khlong Muang Beach Khlong Muang Beach is a peaceful romantic place that’s nice for relaxing. Highlight : The floating bridge and gypsum bridge are popular locations for taking photos with the islands in the background. 6 p.m. is the recommended time to be there.

Laem Chamuk Khwai Weathered by the wind, the natural strange-looking rocks of Laem Chamuk Khwai are very beautiful at sunset. The sight of the golden sunlight reflecting on the seawater is a beautiful and romantic image. Highlight: A great sunset viewpoint. It takes 30 minutes by boat to get there, so best to be there by 5 p.m.

West Railay Beach In the evening at West Railay Beach, many tourists wait to see the sun going down on the horizon. Railay is also primarily known as a rock climbing hot spot attracting climbers from all over the world. Highlight: The beach in front of Railay Village Resort is recommended to wait for a sunset view

Ao Nang Beach Ao Nang Beach is the hub of Krabi’s attractions and islands; such as, Railay Beach, Ko Poda and Ko Hong. In the evening , many tourists walk here to see the sunset view. Highlight: During low tide, the beach is a very romantic place to see the sunset that attracts lots of people.

Khlong Haeng Reservoir The 800-metre long reservoir makes it a viewpoint for Khao Phanom Bencha and a rest area. Highlight: The viewpoint on the reservoir offers a nice sunset view. Another angle for taking amazing photos is down the reservoir ridge where you can look up and see the ridge covered with green grass like a grassy hill.

Phra Chedi Wat Mahathat
Laem Sak Viewpoint The Chedi of Wat Mahathat Laem Sak is the only Chedi on the shore of the Andaman Sea. Highlight: The west balcony of the Chedi is a great spot to see the beautiful sunset.

Lan Phra Athit, Krabi Provincial Administrative Organisation
A check-in point to take photos of the sunset at the mouth of the Krabi River. The evening golden sunlight shines on the HM Lanta Warship and the decommissioned fighter plane. Highlight: 6 p.m. behind the statue of Prince Chumphon is the suggested time and location to take silhouette photos of the sunset.

Nong Thale It’s a large freshwater pond with limestone hills in the background. In February - March annually, Indian Oak (freshwater mangrove) is in full bloom and when the flowers fall off, it makes a scenic view of Nong Thale where photographers and tourists like to visit and witness the beautiful scenery. Highlight: A morning raft cruise is provided with coffee and breakfast onboard among a slow life atmosphere with local songs from members of the community. You should arrive before 6 a.m.

Khao Kaeo Viewpoint, Wat Tham Suea Climb 1,237 stairs to the summit of Khao Kaeo of Wat Tham Suea to welcome the first sunlight of the New Year. A statue of Buddha is enshrined on the summit as well. Highlight: In front of the Buddha statue on the summit is the best location for a sunrise view facing the same direction to the statue.

Mud Crabs Sculpture This viewpoint is where you can see the sunrise along Khao Khanap Nam, which resembles the main gateway to Krabi. The area is surrounded with mangrove forest. Khao Ngon Nak A nice panoramic viewpoint to see the sunrise that seems to be a very high mountain in Krabi, and gives a very impressive morning view of the golden light over the sky above the limestone hills and Andaman Sea. Highlight: The viewpoint on Khao Ngon Nak by 6 a.m. is regarded the best location in Krabi. It takes about 2 hours to trek up the mountain depending on one’s strength.

Laem Tong, Phi Phi Island This is a wonderful viewpoint of Phi Phi Island to see the sunrise and Ko Phai and Ko Yung that are located in front of Laem Tong afar in the sea. Khao Phanom Bencha National Park Khao Phanom Bencha is the second highest mountain in Southern Thailand. Its 1-night 2-day trail will lead you to the sunrise viewpoint with the morning mist at 1,397 metres above mean sea level. Khao Pha Khom The concave cliff in the limestone hill about 100 metres long offers a shelter to visitors to see the very attractive sunrise view. You need to take a boat from Laem Sak Pier to the cliff. Highlight: Sunrise view from Khao Pha Khom no later than 6 a.m. will be very impressive.
