LOT 106 BALLYART (IRE)
5yo, B, Geld, Scorpion (IRE) – Candle Massini (IRE) (Dr Massini (IRE)) Ballyart showed plenty of promise on his seasonal reappearance at Kirkistown in November behind the impressive Sometime Soon (subsequent impressive bumper winner for Gigginstown/G Elliott at Fairyhouse having sold for 225,000 in Cheltenham December Sale) and followed this run up with a further fourth placed run at Tinahely before finishing runner-up to Hotel Du Nord at Kirkistown in February. The Colin McKeever-trained gelding’s latest start was at Armagh where he dead heated for victory in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden. Travelling and jumping well throughout, the Derek O’Connor-ridden winner was prominent from flag fall and disputed the lead at the last where he battled gamely in the closing stages to share the win with School Lane. Ballyart is from a family of track winners which includes his listed winning grand-dam, Lantern Lass, and this five-year-old looks set to continue the winning thread when he makes his progression to park racing.

LOT 112 DIGER DAUDAIE (FR)
5yo, B, Geld, Tiger Groom (GB) – Stone Again (FR) (Passing Sale (FR)) Diger Daudaie made his debut a winning one when he dead heated for victory in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden at Kildorrery in February. The athletic son of Tiger Groom led for much of the contest before being headed at the third last fence where he progressed to pick up proceedings again from the penultimate fence and saw off the challenge of some fast finishing rivals which included Stung For Cash who he had to share the success with. One of five newcomers in the race, Diger Daudaie is from the family of Odeillo Du Mathan, who was a Grade one placed hurdler in France. This Donnchadh Doyle-trained gelding looks like a horse that can develop into a smart track performer that will have an exciting future inside the rails.

LOT 113 BRIGHT SIDE OFLIFE (IRE)
5yo, Ch, Mare, Doyen (IRE) – Lough Lein Leader (IRE) (Supreme Leader (GB)) Brightsideoflife won the five-and-six-year-old mares’ maiden at Belclare in March. The good-looking daughter of Doyen made her debut appearance at Punchestown in February where she finished fifth. Building on that experience gained on her initial start, Brightsideoflife was ridden behind the leaders until progressing from the third last fence where she quickened well to go away from her rivals before the final fence and kept on well in the closing stages to win by an eased down two lengths at the finish. The Denis Murphy-trained mare is a half-sister to three track winners as well as being from the stellar family of black type winners which includes Merry Gale and Racing Demon and looks like a mare that can develop into a smart track performer and will be a real addition to any trainer’s yard in mares’ races over the coming seasons.

LOT 114 ACLASSAGOLD (IRE)
5yo, B, Geld, Gold Well (GB) – Midnight Classic (IRE) (Classic Cliché (IRE)) Aclassagold took the five-and-six-year-old geldings’ maiden at Tyrella in March on what could almost have been considered his debut. The son of Gold Well had one previous run at Mainstown in December where was brought down at the first fence. Aclassagold raced in mid-division for much of the race before making good progress to dispute the lead from the penultimate fence where he showed a good turn of foot over his rivals and held a strong advantage at the final fence before staying on strongly on the run-in to win by a comfortable six lengths. On this evidence Aclassagold looks to be the type of horse that would have little difficulty in making his mark on the track over shorter distance for his new connections. His speed in the closing stages was quite remarkable.

LOT 117 SHEILA TANIST (IRE)
5yo, B, Mare, Court Cave (IRE) – Douglas Park (IRE) (Definite Article (GB)) Sheila Tanist made a promising debut at Ballingarry in June when running well on debut only to come to grief at the third last fence. The daughter of Court Cave was out of luck again on her seasonal reappearance at Borris House earlier in the month when unseating her rider at the second fence but showed her toughness in turning out just two days later at Ballyarthur and took the five-year-old-and-upwards mares’ maiden on the day. Ridden patiently throughout, Sheila Tanist quickly made up good ground between the final few fences and progressed to lead after the penultimate fence where she was forced to dip deep in the closing stages by the fast finishing runner-up Devito’sredrobin to hold onto the victory. Sheila Tanist is out of a halfsister to the listed winner Guts For Garthers as well as being from the family of the Grade one winner Benefficient. Sheila Tanist is bred to develop into a smart sort on the track and could prove a profitable purchase for her new connections.

Shannon Light had one initial start at Dromahane in November where he was also runner-up to Hillary View, who has also won for his new connections. He is out of the bumper winning mare Shannon Mist and is also from the family of the Group one winner Tajoun. LOT 120 TREASURE DILLON (IRE)
4yo, B, Geld, Sans Frontieres (IRE) – Treasure Trix (IRE) (Flemensfirth (USA)) Treasure Dillon made a massive impression on his debut when taking his four-year-old maiden at Durrow. Always close to the pace, the Pierce Power-trained gelding travelled strongly on the final mile and took up the lead from the penultimate fence where he soon quickened away from his rivals and combined with a super jump at the final fence, he went on to resister a comfortable six length success. This eye-catching winner provided a first four-year-old winner for the exciting sire, Sans Frontieres and produced the quickest time of the day which was 16 seconds quicker than the average for the day. This athletic individual is out of a daughter of the talented mare, Black Trix as well as being from the family of some high class performers such as Splendour and Atone. Treasure Dillon is bred to develop into a smart sort on the track and looks to be a high class addition to the catalogue who should be added to every serious short list.

LOT 123 WAYFINDER (IRE)
4yo, Br, Geld, Shantou (USA) – Sibury (IRE) (Overbury (IRE)) Wayfinder made an exciting debut at Belharbour in February when finishing fourth to Envious Editior in a four-year-old maiden on what was the opening weekend for this age category. Improving from this debut performance, Wayfinder finished runner-up on his next start at Durrow behind the exciting Treasure Dillon. The Warren Ewing-ridden gelding was prominent for much of the early part of the race before running in mid-division where he made up good ground after the third last fence and stayed on strongly in the home straight to take the runner-up spot. Out of a half-sister to Mattock Ranger, Pollywollydoodle and Over Siberia, Wayfinder has shown himself to be a decent youngster that is bred to develop into a smart sort on the track and could have a lot to offer to new connections.

4yo, B, Geld, Publisher (USA) – Wild Coast (IRE) (Gothland (FR)) The Boom Is Back heads to the sales on the back of a success at Durrow in a six-year-old maiden. The son of Publisher has had two starts in point-to-points to date having pulled up on his debut at Lingstown in November. Benefitting from the experienced gained that day, The Boom Is Back travelled well throughout and disputed the lead for much of the race. When headed at the third last fence, he battled back strongly in the home straight to gain his initial success by three lengths. The Boom Is Back is from a decent national hunt family which includes the Grade one winners Shinrock Paddy and Colonel Yeager and having clearly shown marked improvement in his two runs, he looks like a sort that can provide plenty of entertainment for his new owners.

LOT 124A SHOCONA’S JOY (IRE)
4yo, B, Mare, Primary (USA) – Shocona (IRE) (Oscar Schindler (IRE)) Shocona’s Joy made a very promising debut at Moig South when finishing second to Legends Gold in a competitive four-year-old maiden. The daughter of Primary was on the heels of the leaders for much of the race and stayed on well in the home straight where she went on to take the runner-up spot after the final fence behind the impressive winner. This was Shocona’s Joy’s second start between the flags having finished a creditable fourth behind The Glancing Queen at Horse and Jockey on her debut two weeks previous. Shocona’s Joy is a half-sister to the recent hurdle winner, Henry’s Joy and is also from the family of the Group three placed Hajade. Having shown good progression from her debut effort, Shocona’s Joy looks the sort that will be a real addition to any trainer’s yard in mares’ races over the coming seasons.
