LOT 5 THE LINKSMAN

6yo B, Geld, Westerner (GB) – Lost Link (IRE)(Shernazar) The Linksman marked himself down as a very progressive individual when running away with the 2m 1/2f Novices’ Hurdle at Bangor last Friday. The 6yo son of Westerner a half-brother to FOR NON STOP was completing his second win on the bounce over hurdles for trainer Sam England. He has showed bundles of speed on his last two outings and given that he is bred to stay well he will warrant plenty of interest going forward.

LOT 13 KING OF THE SHARKS

5yo, B, Geld, Flemensfirth (USA) – Kings Rose (IRE) (King’s Ride (IRE)) King Of The Sharks showed plenty of promise on his debut third at Nenagh in January. Following up from this run, the son of Flemensfirth improved to win on his next start at Oldtown in February. Prominent throughout, the Donnchadh Doyle-trained winner joined the leader at the third last fence and soon quickened clear over the final two obstacles to win by eight lengths over his runner-up. King Of The Sharks has already shown ability from his debut run and backed this up by opening his account. A half-brother to the Grade two and Grade three placed Don’t Tell No One as well as two bumper winners, King Of The Sharks displayed a nice blend of both speed and stamina and this fiveyear-old looks set to further add to this winning family when he makes his progression to park racing.

LOT 15 KILLACOLLA

4yo B Geld, Daylami (IRE) – Perilously (USA)( Mr Greeley (USA)) Killacolla shaped with significant promise on his debut run at Naas in the INH Flat Race when beaten only 1 Ÿ lengths by the highly touted newcomer Espanito Bello. Settled in fourth spot for much of the contest the 4yo son of Daylami stayed on strongly in the final furlong despite showing signs of greenness to shade 2nd place. He looks sure to improve from this initial experience and should prove hard to beat next time out.

LOT 24 TRUCKERS CAILIN

5yo, B, Mare, Curtain Time (IRE) – Truckers Lady (IRE) (Presenting (GB))

Truckers Cailin heads to the sales following her success in the five-andsix-year-old mares’ maiden at Tallow in February. The daughter of Curtain Time made her debut appearance at Boulta in December where she pulled up after the third last fence having made a mistake. Her next start saw her finish fourth to the progressive Lorvon Pearl at Templenacarriga in December. Building on that experience gained on her initial two starts, Truckers Cailin was ridden in mid-division until progressing from the fourth last fence where she went second at the penultimate fence and battled well in the closing stages to lead inside the final 50 yards to secure a half-length win over a mare who was second last time out. From the family of the Grade one placed, Calgary Bay, Truckers Cailin is also from the family of the Grade two winner, The Grey Monk and looks like a mare that could be a real money spinner for her new connections.

LOT 25 HOTEL DU NORD

5yo, B, Geld, Voix Du Nord (FR) – Iu Mi Nao (IRE) (Turtle Island (IRE)) Hotel Du Nord made his debut a winning one when he took his fiveyear-old geldings’ maiden at Kirkistown in February. Racing in middivision until the seventh fence, the son of Voix Du Nord disputed the lead for the remainder of the race where he held a commanding advantage turning into the home straight and combined with a good jump at the last, he secured a comfortable six length win for the Sean Doyle yard. One of nine newcomers in the race, Hotel Du Nord is out of a half-sister to the Group two placed Alluring and the Group three placed Elle Est Revenue as well as being from the family of the Grade one placed hurdler Hawkes Run and looks like a gelding that can develop into a smart track performer.

Geld, Coastal Path (GB) – Belle Du Brizais (FR) (Turgeon (USA)) Asterion Forlonge made his debut a winning one when taking his fouryear-old maiden at Oldtown in February for the Pat Doyle yard over the shorter trip of 2m4f. Given a patient ride, the son of Coastal Path made steady progress over the final mile and joined the leader at the penultimate fence. Producing a good jump at the last, Asterion Forlonge quickened clear of his rivals on the run-in to win by six lengths. A ₏60,000 store purchase, he is a half-brother to two winners in France, both of which also won as four-year-olds. This eye-catching gelding is also from the family of the Grade one winner Ice Mood as well as the prolific track winner Mood War. From a high class family, Asterion Forlonge looks to be something special who can add further depth to this winning family for new connections.

LOT 40 BOLD PLAN

4yo, B, Geld, Jeremy (USA) – Kings Orchid (IRE) (Kings Theatre (IRE))

Bold Plan produced a very taking debut performance at Kirkistown in February. The good looking son of Jeremy was prominent throughout where he progressed to lead from the halfway point and was never headed after that. Jumping fluently throughout, the Warren Ewingtrained winner had his rivals under pressure over the final few obstacles and asserted clear before the final fence where he secured an eight length win. Bold Plan is from the family of the ten-time winner Captain Khedive as well as the Grade two runner-up Crack On and is bred to possess a blend of both speed and stamina, both of which he displayed at Kirkistown in testing conditions. He is a very exciting sort that should be added to every serious short list at the sales.

LOT 43 CLOONE LADY

6yo, Bay, Mare, Milan (GB) – Cloone Leader (IRE) (Supreme Leader (GB)) Cloone Lady heads to the sales following her success in the five-andupwards mares’ maiden at Belharbour in February on what was her fourth start between the flags. The daughter of Milan had finished second on her debut at Boulta in November and ran another solid race at the same track in December only for exciting the race at the second last fence. Following on from that run, Cloone Lady lined up at Aghabullogue in January and ran another consistent race to finish runner-up to the highly regarded Alsa Mix. Cloone Lady was prominent throughout and progressed to lead from the penultimate fence where she was travelling best of her rivals and went on to secure a three length victory. Out of the track winning Cloone Leader, this game mare looks the sort that will be a real addition to any trainer’s yard in mares’ races over the coming seasons.
