AGENT VALDEZ (GB)
5yo, B, Mare, Arvico (FR) – Soleil Sauvage (GB) (Loup Sauvage (USA))
Agent Valdez heads to the sales following her success in the five-andyear-old-upwards mares’ maiden at Loughrea in May. The good-looking daughter of Arvico made her debut appearance at Dromahane in April where she was fourth. Building on that experience gained on her initial start, Agent Valdez led from flag fall where she jumped impeccably throughout and was only headed approaching the final fence. With her main rival coming to grief at the final obstacle, Agent Valdez gallantly ran on again to secure a three length victory. The Ross O’Sullivantrained mare is a half-sister to the three-time winner Bansdman as well as being from the family of the Group two runner-up Herculano. This progressive winner looks like a mare that can develop into a smart track performer and will be a real addition to any trainer’s yard in mares’ races over the coming seasons.

ASK BEN (IRE)
5yo, B, Geld, Ask (GB) – Decheekymonkey (IRE) (Presenting (GB)) Ask Ben made a very promising debut at Lisronagh in October when finishing fourth in a highly competitive four-year-old maiden and showed the benefit of the experience gained that day to run a creditable race at Ballysteen in April where he was runner-up to Danny Whizzbang. Taking up the lead from the fifth fence, the son of Ask set a strong gallop throughout before being headed at the penultimate fence where he kept on well in the home straight to take the runner-up position and finish only two and a half lengths behind the winner. From a family of talented track performers which includes Pealings and Cloudy Grey Ask Ben lost little in defeat and is bred to develop into a smart track sort that could have a lot to offer to new connections.

BACKINTHEOLDTIMES (IRE)
5yo, B, Mare, Olden Times (GB) – Tinas Friend (GB) (Environment Friend (GB)) Backintheoldtimes made a promising debut at Lisronagh in October when finishing fourth to Lust For Glory. The daughter of Olden Times was then out of luck at Dromahane on her next start having unseated her rider at the penultimate fence when in fifth position. Backintheoldtimes enjoyed better luck on her latest start at Ballysteen in April when she took the five-year-old-and-upwards mares’ maiden. Prominently ridden throughout, Backintheoldtimes progressed to lead before the final fence where she quickly asserted clear of her rivals to win by a comfortable six lengths. This improving mare is from the family of the talented dual Listed winning mare Bean Alainn and is bred to develop into a smart sort on the track that could prove a profitable purchase for her new connections.

4yo, B, Filly, Kayf Tara (GB) – Native Sunrise (IRE) (Definite Article (GB)) Crackle Lyn Rosie fared best of the newcomers when placed a very encouraging second on her debut in the Mares’ Open NH Flat Race at Ludlow on 8th May. The homebred 4yo daughter of Kay Tara was held up in rear and made eye catching headway over 2F out before running on well to take second close home behind the highly regarded Nicky Henderson trained Lust For Glory. 5yo, B, Geld, Mahler (GB) – Deise All Star (IRE) (Fourstars Allstar (USA)) Debestyman stepped forward from his debut run at Cragmore in April where he finished fifth, to claim success at Ballindenisk in May in a fiveand-six-year-old geldings maiden. Ridden prominently by Rob James, the son of Mahler progressed to lead before the penultimate fence where he quickly gained a strong advantage over his rivals on the run to the final obstacle and went clear on the run-in to secure a comfortable six length win. Given the attributes Debestyman showed on his latest start he looks like a gelding that can develop into a smart track performer that will have an exciting future inside the rails.

The son of Diamond Boy jumped well and travelled strongly throughout under Nicky Williams and took it up just before the last before making a slight mistake at the last fence. He rallied after the last to be beaten just 1 1/2 lengths by a more experienced rival. The third placed horse has subsequently come out and franked the form when recording a Maiden success of his own. Dino Boy now rates an exciting prospect to go on with under rules.

DRUMLEE WATAR (IRE)
5yo, Ch, Geld, Watar (IRE) – Dolly Of Dublin (IRE) (Be My Native (USA))
Drunlee Watar made his debut a winning one when taking his five-yearold maiden at Loughanmore. Waited with in rear for much of the race, the Noel McParlan-ridden winner made steady progress over the final half a mile where he progressed to take up the lead after the penultimate fence and quickly stormed clear of his rivals where he won by an eased down 10 lengths at the finish. The decisive winner, who was one of three newcomers in the line-up, is from a family of track winners which includes the Grade one placed Ordinary Man. Drumlee Watar showed a likeable attitude and looks like a horse that could be a real money spinner for his new connections.

Emmas Joy is out of the former Grade B and five-time track winning mare Emma Jane as well as being from the family of high class graded performers which includes the former Aintree Grand National winner Amberleigh House and prolific winner Artifice. GRANITIC (IRE) 5yo, B, Geld, Court Cave (IRE) – Like A Miller (IRE) (Luso)
Granitic showed a throughly likeable attitude when overcoming greenness to prevail in a driving finish to win the NH Flat Race at Towcester on debut on 14th May. The Seamus Mullins trained son of Court Cave tracked the leader throughout and led over 1F out before being headed and battled on gamely to win by a nose from a more experienced Nicky Henderson trained inmate. Out of a half sister to MALJIMAR he showed great battling qualities and looks sure to improve from the initial experience and rates an exciting prospect for novice hurdles.

HES NO TROUBLE (IRE)
5yo, B, Geld, Scorpion (IRE) – She’s No Trouble (IRE) (Zaffaran (USA)) Hes No Trouble made his debut a winning one when he took his fiveyear-old geldings’ maiden at Dromahane in April. The son of Scorpion disputed the lead for much of the race before quickening well to lead from the third last obstacle where he quickly gained a strong advantage over his rivals to go on and win by three lengths at the finish. One of seven newcomers in the race, Hes No Trouble is from a stellar black type family as he is out of a full-sister to the Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Looks Like Trouble and given the speed and stamina he showed on his initial start he looks like a gelding that can develop into a smart track performer that will have an exciting future inside the rails.

LOCK’S CORNER (IRE)
4yo, Bay, Geld, Gold Well (GB) – Last Century (IRE) (Glacial Storm (USA)) Lock’s Corner posted a high class display on his debut run when he took the second division of the four-year-old maiden at Dawstown. The Barry O’Neill-ridden winner was ridden close to the pace throughout and progressed to lead before the third last fence where he soon held a strong advantage over the final two obstacles and injected a burst of speed to win by a comfortable 12 lengths at the finish. It is unsurprising that he posted the quickest time of the day which was 11 faster than the day’s average. A half-brother to the three-time track winner, Steele’s Rock, the Colin Bowe-trained gelding is also from the family of Graded performers which includes Shantou Bob and Definite Ruby. Lock’s Corner proved himself to be something special and combined with his mix of both speed and stamina he displayed on his debut, he looks to have the potential to develop into a high-class horse on the track.

MONKFISH (IRE)
4yo, Ch, Geld, Stowaway (GB) – Martovic (IRE) (Old Vic (IRE) Monkfish stepped up from his debut run at Cragmore in February to win the four-year-old geldings’ maiden at Stowlin in April. Tracking the leader throughout, the son of Stowaway made steady progress over the final half a mile where he led on the run to the penultimate fence and kept on best to hold onto victory by half a length and in doing so produced the quickest time of the day which was 13 seconds faster than the day’s average. He is a half-brother to a dual track winner as well as being out of a daughter to the nine-time winner Martomick. Great confidence has to be taken from this performance that he is a potentially classy sort who looks like he could develop into an exciting youngster on the race track.

One of five newcomers in the race, Milvale is a half-brother to the former Welsh Grand National winner, Emperor’s Choice as well as being out of a half-sister to the dual Grade one winner, Our Vic. SHANROE AL C (IRE)
5yo, Br, Geld, Arcadio (GER) – Dromroe Dreamer (IRE) (Insan (USA)) Shanroe Al C took the five-year-old geldings’ maiden at Largy in April on what was his fourth start between the flags. The son of Arcadio had made his initial start at Loughanmore in October where he finished third and followed this run up with a further two placed runs at Dowth Hall and Kirkistown. Stepping up from the experience gained on his starts during the autumn, Shanroe Al C was prominent throughout and progressed to lead before the final fence where he found plenty for pressure and kept on well to the line to win by one and a half lengths. Shanroe Al C is from a family of track winners which includes Colleen Glen and Saraemma and has shown himself to be a consistent youngster that can make his mark on the track for his new connections.

SHANROE SMOOCH (IRE)
5yo, B, Geld, Ask (GB) – Lady Quesada (IRE) (Alflora (IRE))
Shanroe Smooch has been an improving performer this season and gained a deserved success in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden at Taylorstown. Having made his debut at Castletown-Geoghegan in October, the son of Ask was then fourth at Tyrella in January and March before securing a two and a half-length victory on his latest start. Shanroe Smooch raced in mid-division for much of the contest before making good progression over the final half a mile where he took up the lead from the third last fence and quickened well on the run to the final fence where he then wandered slightly on the run-in but still had enough left to hold onto the victory. A half-brother to a dual track winner, Shanroe Smooch is also from the family of the Grade two and eight-time winner Bobby Grant and looks like a horse that is set to further add to this winning family when he makes his progression to park racing.

SOME RESPONSE (IRE)
6yo, B, Geld, Court Cave (IRE) – Lady Secret (FR) (Lord Of Men (GB)) Some Response heads to the sales following three consecutive victories in point-to-points this spring. The six-year-old finished third in a bumper as a four-year-old before finishing third in a five-year-old a maiden at Tyrella last March. The son of Court Cave then made his seasonal reappearance at Loughanmore in October where he was second before finishing runner-up again on his next start at Portrush. Another close run at Tyrella in March saw him finish third again before gaining a deserved success at Loughanmore in April. Some Response steeped up on his next two starts to enjoy comprehensive victories in both a winners of one and a winners of two. SUBWAY SURF (IRE)
4yo, B, Mare, Milan (GB) – Dante Rouge (IRE) (Croco Rouge (IRE)) Subway Surf heads to the sales following her debut success at Bartlemy in a four-year-old mares’ maiden. Tracking the leaders for most of the race, the Colin Motherway-trained mare made steady progress over the final half a mile where she progressed to dispute the lead between the final two fences and was locked in tight battle on the run-in where she found plenty for pressure to secure a one length success with a further 12 lengths back to the third finisher. The eye-catching daughter of Milan is out of a half-sister to the Grade two and three chase winner, Loosen My Load. Having shown that she is a tough staying sort, Subway Surf has highlighted herself as an exciting mare who will be a real addition to any trainer’s yard in mares’ races over the coming seasons.

THE VERY MAN (IRE)
4yo, B, Geld, Jeremy (USA) – Mill Meadow (IRE) (Kalanisi (IRE)) The Very Man made a massive impression when taking his four-yearold maiden at Loughanmore in May. The Stuart Crawford-trained gelding had made his debut at Moira in April where he came to grief at the sixth fence. Clearly none the worse for his fall, The Very Man was ridden in mid-division for much of the contest before making good headway between the final two fences and progressed to lead on the run to the final obstacle where he held a strong advantage over his rivals to go on and score by six lengths. By the ill-fated sire, Jeremy, The Very Man is from the family of some talented sorts which includes Den Of Iniquity, Keepatem and Lough Ferrib. This eye-catching gelding looks to have an ideal blend of speed and stamina which leads one to suggest that he should prosper at black-type level on the track.

THUNDERSTRUCK (IRE)
4yo, B, Geld, Fame and Glory (GB) – Go Sandy Go (IRE) (Flemensfirth (USA)) Thunderstruck posted a high class display on his debut run when he took the four-year-old maiden at Loughanmore. The Sean O’Keefferidden winner was always prominent where he raced eye-catchingly well behind the leaders throughout. Positioned in second at the last, Thunderstruck kept on well under pressure to lead on the run-in and win by a length at the finish. This exciting winner posted the quickest time of the day which was 10 faster than the day’s average. Thunderstruck is by the ill-fated sire Fame and Glory, whose progeny have created a huge impression on both the race track and in point-to-points this spring and looks to have produced another talented youngster. Out of the dual track winning and grade three placed mare, Go Sandy Go, Thunderstruck proved himself to be something special and combined with his mix of both speed and stamina he displayed on his debut, he looks to have the potential to develop into a high class horse on the track.

TRIBESMANS GLORY (IRE)
4yo, B, Geld, Jeremy (USA) – Benecash (IRE) (Beneficial (GB) Tribesman Glory made an exciting debut at Loughanmore by taking his four-year-old maiden in the impressive fashion. Ridden in division, the son of Jeremy took up the lead after the sixth fence where he travelled and jumped well and always looked in command over the final half mile where he stayed on gamely in front to see off his fast finishing rival. The Michael Goff-trained winner is closely related to the Grade two winner Junction Fourteen as well as being from the family of the prolific 13-time winner, Kilkilowen. Tribesman Glory has highlighted himself as something special who can add further depth to this winning family for new connections.
