ERIC ALLAIN CLUB DIRECTOR The rebuilding of the greens on holes 5 and 13 are underway. For a variety of reasons, the turf on these two greens has been very difficult to maintain to our standard over the years. Both greens will be rebuilt from scratch and will include all new drainage and irrigation. The greens will also be enlarged and reshaped; however, the basic design of the greens will be preserved. We anticipate both greens to open for play by the end of September. Temporary greens are in place on both holes during the construction. Additionally, the greens on 15, 17 and 18 will be expanded to their original size. The left sides of 15 and 18 greens will be widened while the back of 17 green will be extended. Other golf course projects this summer will include the leveling of several tees on the course and the installation of outlets for our new SubAir system. We appreciate your patience during the construction phase of these projects. One of our longtime and most treasured employees, Lynn Shew, has relocated to Hilton Head Island with her husband, Blaik. Many of you know Lynn and the fantastic job she has done as our accounts receivable representative for the Club over the past several years. Lynn worked at Lake Nona for 23 years and was hired before the golf course and Clubhouse were even built. She will be missed. Theresa Coburn is our new accounts receivable representative, and I’m certain she will maintain Lynn’s high standard of member recognition and service. Have a safe and enjoyable summer. Until next time, see you at the Club.

REAL ESTATE CONTINUED As of June 1, 2009, Lake Nona Realty celebrated three new closings, adding $5.6 million to our total sales volume this year. One resale home, one new home and one ISSA coach home closed in May, reminding us that the lifestyle and appeal offered by Lake Nona Golf & Country Club remains in demand. New traffic remains steady, while continued growth throughout the Lake Nona Region – particularly in Lake Nona’s Medical City – signifies that the best is yet to come. The Burnham Institute for Medical Research marked the completion of its Lake Nona facility on May 15 when Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orange County Mayor Rich Crotty presented researchers with a key to their new building. The first of the four pillars that will make up Lake Nona’s Medical City, the Burnham Institute will be the largest research facility in the state with a gold-level Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification, the second-highest rating given to building projects that meet standards for environmentally sustainable construction. The projected result for Central Florida includes more than 30,000 jobs with an $8 billion economic impact. Please visit lakenona.com for the latest updates regarding development throughout the Lake Nona region. We also invite you to visit the real estate section of the Web site for listing updates.
