The

Tavistock Cup

presented by Citi Private Bank pits the golf professional members

of Isleworth versus their counterparts at Lake Nona. This unique team competition brings together crosstown rivals in the ultimate showdown to determine the World Golf and Country Club Champion. The two-day tournament will take place on March 16 and 17, 2009 at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, where the inaugural matches were held in 2004. Each year, members and invited guests walk the fairways and cheer on their team as contestants compete for a purse valued at over $3.7 million, of which $1 million is donated to charity on behalf of the winning team.

Unlike anything else.

“It’s all about bragging rights . . . two great clubs, great members and great pros. It doesn’t get any better than this.”

Team Isleworth

claimed their

third Tavistock Cup in the tournament’s five-year history last year at Isleworth Golf & Country Club. Rookie J.B. Holmes’ spectacular performance led Team Isleworth to a 19 ½ to 11 ½ victory over Team Lake Nona. Holmes won a brand-new Cadillac Escalade hybrid after his shot landed 21 inches from the pin on #15. His monster-drive on Hole #7 secured Team Isleworth an additional $110,000 as he clinched the Old Mutual Long Drive Challenge. Holmes also took home the Payne Stewart Salver Award for low medalist on Tuesday, securing this honor for a Team Isleworth member for the fifth straight year. Over the past year, Isleworth has claimed 15 worldwide victories, including six PGA Tour victories and three LPGA Tour victories. Tiger Woods took home his 14th major championship title at the 2008 U.S. Open following a 91-hole battle at Torrey Pines. Team Isleworth looks to defend their World Golf and Country Club Championship title at Lake Nona.
