SUMMARY We would first like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for taking the time to review our sponsorship proposal. MyIsland Ballers, Inc. is a community oriented year round basketball program. It was established to provide young children within the Virgin Islands with a variety of learning concepts in basketball, travel opportunities, and to positively motivate the participants while promoting self respect, education and college possibilities. Our program will consist of training camps, clinics, tournaments and leagues intended to assist participants in developing the skills required to engage in the sport while building character. MAURICE WELLS President Maurice Wells is a 2002 graduate of the University of Tampa were he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Everest University. Currently, employed at the Virgin Islands Water & Power Authority as the Budget & Cash Manager, Wells found a new passion for interacting with individuals from all walks of life. In 2009, the MyIsland Ballers Travel Team was formed and as the General Manager, he accompanied the team as they competed in various tournaments in Atlanta, Miami and Tampa respectively; winning four tournament titles. To date, Wells is the President of the MyIsland Ballers, Inc., a non-profit organization offering extra-curricular activities to young males of the Virgin Islands. Within the small knit community he calls home, it was important to organize such a program where he can become a strong role model and develop a brotherhood between young males. Wells believes strongly in providing a positive outlet to all regardless of age, background or circumstances and stands by MyIsland Ballers Inc. purpose is to build extraordinary gentlemen utilizing all phases of the game they love. PAULINA HOBSON Public Relations Born on the island of St. Maarten, Nederland’s Antilles. Paulina moved to the beautiful island of St. Croix in the 1985 and have chosen to call there home ever since. A graduate of the St. Croix Central High School and the president and founder of P31 WOMEN Incorporated. P31 was established as a community based outreach program with love, sisterhood and service as thier foundation. Paulina is also the proud mother of her 15 year old son Shamir Tariq Heyliger. Shamir’s lifelong dream is to play the sport of basketball and MyIsland Ballers Inc., makes that dream possible. She enjoys helping and encouraging others along their path in life. Being a part MyIsland Ballers allows her the opportunity to experience both in a fulfilling way and she is very grateful. Paulina considers herself the “team mom” and she loves it! Paulina loves being a part of the boys’ lives. It’s like God has blessed her with a large family of sons and brothers. Being able to encourage, mentor and love on them is truly fufilling for her.
