Welcome... to the Autumn 2019 edition of the Collection magazine. I am delighted that finally, the Government has set out to professionalise the Estate Agency industry. A ‘Regulation of Property Agents’ working party has been charged with establishing the regulation, training and licensing of sales, lettings and management agents. As an estate agent of some 45 years, I have been a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents for 35 years and also a member of the Association of Residential Lettings Agents. We choose to be licensed and regulated for sales, lettings and management but I would welcome mandatory regulation for all agents. After all, most people wouldn’t trust an unregulated solicitor or mortgage broker, so why trust an unregulated estate agent? Our Autumn edition is positively bursting with exceptional homes.
