An autobiographical folio.
Watercolor and typography.
Inspiration can be triggered by a person, a place, a time. For me, inspiration manifests in dinner plates and dusty books, in love letters and foxed photographs. Each object represents a point of departure. Each has an aura of time and of place.
Photography was the starting point in this personal investigation into the significance behind each of my collections. In an attempt to replicate the effect each collection evoked, I experimented with watercolor to translate the original documentation to one that lends itself to familiarity and naivete.
