Elected officials hand out PPE, COVID tests in Selden Suffolk County Legislator Nick Caracappa (R-Selden) was busy again helping constituents in the battle against COVID-19. Recently, Caracappa, along with New York Assemblymembers Doug Smith (R-Holbrook) and Joe DeStefano (R-Medford), worked hard at the 4th legislative district-wide drive-through event
and handed out PPE equipment to residents. “What a great turnout in Selden as I was joined by my fellow elected officials in distributing COVID home test kits and KN95 masks out to residents,” Caracappa said. One thousand home test kits (2,000 tests) and 2,000 masks were handed out to those who came to the event, free of charge, while
supplies lasted. Members from the community, as well as the Selden Civic Association and Boy Scout Troops 362 and 91 helped with the cause. “As we receive more of these critical supplies, we will be reaching out to the community again via social media with additional distribution dates,” Caracappa added.
