The more you protect, the more you save. I can do a lot more than just protect your car. And when you bundle coverage for your auto and home, I can help you save big.

Northport High School has a new principal. Daniel Danbusky was appointed by the Board of Education at the Nov. 5 meeting, effective immediately. Danbusky had been assistant principal at the high school since 2012, and prior to that, spent 11 years as a social studies teacher, coach and dean of students in Brentwood school district. “I knew immediately that, even though it was very difficult to come to the decision to leave Brentwood, I had arrived in the right place,” Danbusky said in an email. “The students here impress me on a daily basis. Whether it is walking around the art and music wing and seeing their creativity, or attending a fundraiser or community event and seeing the philanthropic spirit that exists in the student body, is beyond humbling.” Danbusky said he is not the type of person who does well sitting in an office — so students can expect to see his face a lot. “There is nothing greater about working in a school than being with the students, so I want to maximize my contact

with them,” he said. Danbusky received a Bachelor’s in history and a Master’s in teaching from Union College. He is replacing Irene McLaughlin, who was recently appointed assistant superintendent for human resources. “I think he’s a terrific guy,” McLaughlin said in a phone interview. “He has incredible integrity and has established a great relationship with the students, faculty and staff. He’s the total package.” McLaughlin said there were about 20 candidates when the search for a new principal started. “It was a collaborative nature, which is important because you’re selecting who will now lead the high school every day,” she said. Danbusky said one of his favorite parts of the job is seeing the students. “They are some of the most motivated, talented, empathetic and selfless students I have ever had the privilege to work for in my 15 years in high schools,” he said. Looking to the future, Danbusky said he hopes to foster better relationships with the middle schools “because coming into the high school of 2,000 kids can be overwhelming.”

New legislation will give veterans a home Israel and Stern collaborate to use LI bill as national model One North Shore lawmaker’s proposal to provide housing to homeless veterans is now being used as a model for a federal bill. U.S. Rep. Steve Israel (D-Huntington) introduced the Housing Our Heroes Act this month, which creates a three-year federal pilot program that provides grants to purchase and renovate zombie homes for veterans use. That proposal reflects similar sentiments expressed in legislation Suffolk County Legislator Steve Stern (D-Dix Hills) drafted last year. The Housing Our Homeless Heroes Act, signed by Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone (D) in December 2014, allows for “zombie homes,” or tax-defaulted properties, in Suffolk County to be distributed to veterans. “No soldier who has ever worn the uniform of our great nation and gone off to protect the ground we stand on should ever have to come home to sleep on it,” Stern said in a statement. Israel’s legislation is an expansion on

an act from Stern, who serves as chairman of the Legislature’s Veterans and Seniors Committee. “My legislation will not only put a roof over our heroes’ heads, it will also transform unsightly zombie homes into renovated properties that will revitalize housing markets in many of our Long Island communities,” Israel said in a statement. “Whenever we get the opportunity to eliminate two problems with one sustainable solution, we should act on it.” Israel’s proposal would make grants available to veteran service organizations, non-governmental organizations and homeless organizations. It is intended to not only house homeless veterans but also eliminate blight from neighborhoods, the lawmaker said. Stern praised Israel’s legislation for helping to ensure “that our military heroes have a place to call home while turning blighted properties into houses fit for heroes.” According to Stern, he and Israel always saw his act as a model to use at the federal level.

suffolk county Legislator steve stern joins congressman steve israel at the site of a zombie home in Dix Hills.

“I’m proud to say we implemented it at a local level,” Stern said in a phone interview. “What we started here is serving as a national model.” One of the big differences between Stern and Israel’s acts is the funding. Stern said that, at the local level, they are utilizing properties the government already owns because of foreclosure. Israel’s legislation doesn’t need to rely on those types of homes because of the funding they receive from grants, so “there is real opportunity for innovation with the

spectrum of properties.” He also said these two bills will complement each other going forward. Approximately 50,000 homeless veterans are on the streets of the United States every day, including more than 2,500 in New York, according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Blighted properties have been an ongoing issue in Huntington Town. “Huntington residents have been dealing with the zombie home epidemic in VETERANS continued on page A8

Let’s rock tonight By Victoria Espinoza

This young boy from Dix Hills sure knows how to rock. Brandon Niederauer, 12, has only been playing the guitar for four short years, but he has already had more career milestones than most kids his age. Brandon has already played on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, with the Allman Brothers Band, and at The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. But his most recent accomplishment is perhaps his most impressive. This December, he will be in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s newest

musical on Broadway: “School of Rock-The Musical.” Brandon said he first became interested in playing the guitar after seeing the original movie, “School of Rock.” After competing against more than 50 musicians to get the part and going through an eight-week workshop, Brandon said he got the call that he had gotten the role while he was playing basketball with his brother. “All the kids and adults in the cast get along really well,” Brandon said in an email. “We have a lot of fun playing pranks and joking around. We are like a family.” As for working with legendary composer Webber, Brandon said he has already taught him a lot. “School of Rock-The Musical” officially opens on Dec. 6 at the Winter Garden Theatre. This month, Brandon performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote the musical. According to Brandon, when Webber was asked to be a guest on the show, the producers thought it would be a good idea to have him on the show as well. “I was very honored to play the whole set with such an amazing band,” Brandon said. “I was one of the band. There is something

special about that. They showed me the music and set list right before the show and I had so much fun playing and fitting it.” Brandon will also be performing with his cast in The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year on the Gibson guitar float. “Being on the Gibson float is a dream come true,” Brandon said. “I saw that float a year ago and said, ‘I want to do that.’” Brandon’s father, Gary Nieder-

auer, said he knew right away that his son had special talents. “I knew after the first lesson,” Niederauer said in an email. “Everything was easy and natural for him. He knew where all the scales were after only being taught one.” As for seeing his son up on stage, Niederauer said he delivers every single time. “It is thrilling to be able to watch your son create amazing sound from nothing with other

amazing advanced musicians,” he said. “I really can’t believe it. He has no fear and loves to perform for an audience.” When asked about any plans for the future, Brandon said there’s nothing concrete. “I have been a guitar player, singer, writer — now I’m acting on Broadway,” he said. “I really have no plan. Things have been happening on their own, so whatever it is, I just want it to be fun!”

Incidents and arrests from Nov. 18-21

A Hauppauge woman was arrested for drunk driving early Tuesday morning after her car collided with a county vehicle, injuring both her and the other driver. The Suffolk County Police Department said Michael Maxwell, a district attorney investigator, was driving a county-owned 2008 Ford Explorer east on Route 347 after 1 a.m. when he collided with a 2004 Toyota Sequoia that was going south on Mount Pleasant Road. After crashing with the Ford, the Toyota struck a building on Mount Pleasant. Police did not specify which driver caused the crash. Maxwell, 52, was pinned inside the

Ford, police said, and Emergency Services Section officers extricated him. Both he and the Toyota’s driver, 20-yearold Amanda Dellegar, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Stony Brook University Hospital. Police arrested Dellegar and charged her with driving while intoxicated. Attorney information for the defendant was not immediately available. Police said she would be arraigned at a later date. an $8,000 trailer has been stolen from trailer City.

A 15-foot trailer was stolen from a Commack business in the middle of the night, according to the Suffolk County Police Department, and authorities want help to find out who is responsible. Police said the $8,000 trailer was snatched from Trailer City on Jericho Turnpike overnight between Nov. 16 and Nov. 17, although it was unclear if one person or multiple perpetrators were to blame. The suspect or suspects are wanted for grand larceny in the theft from the business, located just west of Siracusa Boulevard. Detectives from the SCPD’s 4th Squad and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are looking for the public’s help to identify and locate the person or people who committed the crime. Armed robbery follows pattern A man with a handgun restrained employees and customers at a Huntington Station store before robbing the place, and police said the incident was similar to others that happened across Long Island in the last few months. According to the Suffolk County Police Department, the suspect entered Pier 1 Imports on East Jericho Turnpike with the weapon at about 7 p.m. Sunday night and forced employees and customers to the rear of the store, which is near New York Avenue. After restraining them, he made an employee open the store’s safe and he removed cash from the registers. Police said the armed robbery was similar to crimes that have happened in Nassau and Suffolk counties since late August, including four robberies at women’s clothing stores — on Sept. 7 in East Farmingdale, on Oct. 12 in West Babylon, on Oct. 26 in Deer Park and on Nov. 2 in North Lindenhurst. The male suspect in the Pier 1 armed robbery was described as black, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall and of a thin to medium build, police said. He was wearing a mask and a hoodie at the time of the crime. Detectives from the Pattern Crime Unit are investigating the incident and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS (8477). — Elana Glowatz

ference was held, was the exact house that inspired her to draft an anti-blight act. “I saw the condition of the house and how it affected the neighbors,” she said. Her legislation includes a point system that determines if a property should be added to the town blight list and enters a restoration agreement with the town. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development also said that in 2009 that the homeless veteran population was more than 74,000 in a single night and last year more than one in ten of every homeless adult were veterans. At the press conference in Dix Hills, members of veteran organizations from Long Island spoke about the necessity of the bill. “Placing homeless veterans in these homes will give them the opportunity and foundation they need to become independent successful members of our community,” said Frank Amalfitano, director of United Veterans Beacon House. Beth Gabellini, regional director of Long Island Supportive Services for Veteran Families echoed the sentiment. “After fighting for our country, veterans deserve every opportunity possible to help get back on their feet and on track.”

Sixth-grade students at Oldfield Middle School decorate and fill birthday box kits with party supplies, presents and cards.

Birthday wishes granted for children in need

In recognition of World Kindness Day, celebrated on Nov. 13, sixth-grade students at Oldfield Middle School, under the direction of Andrea Horowitz, decorated and filled boxes with party supplies to help homeless children celebrate their birthdays. In the weeks leading up to the event, students brought birthday supplies and presents to school to add to the boxes. Students worked in groups to wrap the boxes and presents in festive paper. Following guidelines provided by Birthday Wishes, each “birthday-in-abox” party kit will be created for a boy, girl or neutral birthday theme and will

be filled with juice boxes, party hats, cups, napkins, plates, handmade birthday cards, a banner and presents. The students created a total of eight boxes to donate to Birthday Wishes. Founded in 2002, Birthday Wishes is a nonprofit organization that helps bring the magic of a birthday party to thousands of homeless children in shelters or transitional living facilities each year. “I think this creates an awareness for the kids to realize how much they have to be thankful for,” said Horowitz. “It makes the students feel good helping other kids.”

our neighborhoods for far too long,” Huntington Councilwoman Tracey Edwards (D) said in a statement. Edwards said Israel’s legislation would improve both the lives of veterans and the worth of Huntington residents’ homes. At a press conference announcing Israel’s proposal on Nov. 9, Gina Raio Bitsimis, a Dix Hills resident and zombie home neighbor, thanked Israel for his commitment to tackle this problem. “Zombie homes aren’t only eyesores in our neighborhood, they are actively reducing the value of our homes that we have worked so hard to maintain,” Bitsimis said in a statement. “My family and I will welcome these brave men and women into our neighborhood with open arms and look forward to the increase of both our quality of life and the value of our property.” Huntington Councilwoman Susan Berland (D) previously drafted legislation to crack down on blighted properties and said in a phone interview that the zombie house in Dix Hills, where the press con-

Rocco Donnino, founder of Cow Harbor Warriors, and Tony Donnino, board member, wait to award a service dog to a veteran at MetLife Stadium on Nov. 15.

Donnino said he wanted to bring veterans to a celebration specifically in Northport because the village has a “huge history of supporting troops and veterans.” The event is held close to the anniversary of 9/11. This year, the warriors donated the money they raised during Warrior Weekend to three organizations: Paws of War, Hoops of Northport and the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Each organization received $25,000, McKay said. Cow Harbor Warriors bounced back from a controversy to hold its signature event last year and this year. The Northport American Legion Post 694 alleged a couple of years ago that the group had not properly disbursed funds they had raised

at the first Warrior Weekend in 2012 — a claim that canceled the event in 2013. McKay called those allegations “baseless” and said the group has been fully vetted by the Suffolk County Department of Veteran Services and is in “full compliance.” The nonprofit’s reach goes beyond the village boundaries. Paws of War invited members of the Cow Harbor Warriors to the New York Giants game at MetLife Stadium on Nov. 15 to present a service dog to a veteran at halftime on the field. “It’s hard to explain how incredible the experience was to watch a veteran receive a service dog,” McKay said. “It was emotional, and a proud moment.”

Trish Arceri captures All-State diving honors Swimming & Diving Trish Arceri took another step forward last weekend toward her ultimate goal. The Huntington High School sophomore captured All-State diving honors at the New York State Swimming & Diving Championships in Ithaca. Arceri advanced to the finals and finished 14th in a field of the top 47 high school divers in the state. Juniors and seniors grabbed the first eight places in the competition. “I exceeded my goals by not only making the finals, but capturing All-State honors as well,” Arceri said. “During the off-season I will be working hard on improving my dives and gearing up for next year. My next goal is to reach the podium.” The Blue Devils sophomore had the third highest regular season score in the state this year. Arceri’s mark of 552.15 points trailed only eventual state champion Alexandra House of Newark, a suburb of Rochester, who tallied 583.60 and Section XI champion Grace Reeves of Lindenhurst, who posted a score of 561.65. The scores at last weekend’s state finals were drastically lower than some of the marks notched earlier in the year. House, a junior, won the competition with a score of 509.50. Arceri scored 421.60, less than 20 points behind the

ninth place finisher. One parent attending the competition said that while the judge’s scoring was “more conservative than during the regular season, it was also more accurate.” Huntington head coach Christopher Helmke and assistant coach Meg McConnell, who works with the team’s divers, were both pleased with Arceri’s performance. McConnell and Helmke said early last week that the teenager’s goal was to reach this year’s finals round. By winning All-State honors, she did even better than they hoped. Arceri also won the Suffolk League III diving title before finishing second in the county finals/state qualifier to earn a berth in the state meet. “I have been training and preparing for a long time to get where I am in my diving career,” Arceri said. “My diving practices are sometimes twice a day. I feel very confident and consistent with my dives.” With two more years of eligibility remaining, Arceri appears well-positioned for a future run at a state title. Considering her work ethic and willingness to sacrifice to reach her goals, a trip to the podium at the state championships seems a sure bet.

OPINION EdiToriAL

These are a few of our favorite things

When most people celebrate Thanksgiving, they say they are thankful for things like their families and friends, and similarly irreplaceable items. Your newspaper staff is equally thankful for them, but we would be remiss if we did not also mention the little things that have kept us going all year. in our own words, the things we are grateful to have: Victoria Espinoza, editor of The Times of Huntington & Northport — M&Ms, which have been my constant companion when i’m stressed; Fleetwood Mac, for making me feel like Esméralda; Christoph Waltz, for being alive and reminding me that love is real. Phil Corso, editor of The Village Times Herald and the Times of Smithtown — The Shih Tzus, Betty and Buster, for carrying on Bugsy’s legacy; Taco Bell’s mobile app; my Casper mattress. Desirée Keegan, sports editor and editor of The Village Beacon Record — Coffee, for its waking and warming qualities; music, because it’s always there to complement my mood; sports, because they are exciting, challenging and rewarding. Giselle Barkley, reporter — My new car, which brings an end to a history of car troubles; tea, because it’s one of the few things that keep me warm; Louis C.K., because life’s nothing without some laughter. Elana Glowatz: online editor and editor of The Port Times Record — My dog, for being a person; dunkin’ donuts, for opening 200 feet from my desk; peanut butter, for being my life partner since the 1980s. A happy Thanksgiving to all our readers, both the longtime subscribers and the ones who picked up a newspaper for the first time today. We are all thankful for you too.

Do dogs belong in public spaces?

Keep pets home To THE EdiTor: i will start by apologizing for my long absence from this page. i know my insight and wisdom has been missed. Now let’s talk about pets—specifically dogs, but also a little side note on cats. i do not understand this new, ill-mannered trend of bringing dogs into super markets, big-box stores, salons, and even restaurants. Please do not think i am speaking of service dogs; they are 100 percent exempt from this article. i speak of the people that consider Muffin and Pooky to be part of the family — their family, not mine. These flea-laden, fecescovered pooches have no place in businesses—especially businesses

that sell or serve food, unless that food store is specifically for pets. i know it has become easy to go online, fill out a form, pay a fee, and, poof, you have a “support” dog. Shame on you. i recently spotted a dog in Kohl’s that was clearly not a service dog. This woman walked through the aisle, clutching her dog and brushing up against the clothing on the racks. This is okay? or at a restaurant in Port Jefferson recently while eating outside (and not at the chicken nugget stand) i suddenly felt something against my leg. Startled, i looked down at what i thought was a big rat or a small possum. Much to my chagrin, it was a dog named Waffle (how clever). The couple, instead of being apologetic about

their dog licking my leg, was thrilled because Waffle does not usually like strangers. it was a breakthrough. i believe they then called Waffle’s therapist. Let’s put an end to this now. Keep your pets at home. oh, and cat owners, why is it okay for you to let your cat out to roam free, defecating and urinating on my property, killing the baby rabbits in my yard, and tearing up my garbage? i have had two dogs in my lifetime. one, Spencer, lived to the hearty age of fourteen. our last dog, dakota, died of cancer at 11. They were fabulous animals and we treated them like kings, but never at the expense of our neighbors or friends. Brian Gavan South Setauket

Taking Time to be Thankful for the Trivial

D. None of the above by DaNiel DuNaief

vtimes@tbrnewspapers.com

I

s the McDonald’s commercial bothering anyone else? I get it. The Golden Arches is serving breakfast all day long. Something about that radio advertisement is irritating, especially after I’ve heard it for the 20th time in a day. In honor of that commercial, I thought I’d share a list of the trivial things I’m thankful for. Yes, I know there are

many real things to appreciate, but, for now, I choose to focus on the mundane. I’m thankful I’m not sitting next to someone telling me why he’s so angry at his ex-wife. Divorce is tough and coordinating activities for kids is challenging — even for parents who are happily married — but, dude, I don’t need to hear every twist and turn in your agonizing morning. I know, that sounds terrible and unsympathetic, but we don’t have to share everything with everyone. I’m thankful that some games get canceled because of rain or snow. I know it’s our fault that we put our kids in all these sports and that some time down the road, I’ll have to get back on the road for a makeup game. But, in the moment, I can’t help enjoying the unexpected freedom to leave the keys and my chauffeur hat where they are. I’m trivially thankful I’m not much taller. If I were much taller, I might have to duck when I en-

tered a room or struggle to find a place to hide when someone who is about to tell me all the things about his ex-wife that bother him. Who am I kidding, right? It’d be cool to be taller and be able to dunk a basketball or even have a better view of people coming down a crowded hallway. I’m thankful I’m not waiting behind a car that’s in the left lane and doesn’t have a blinker on. I’m not sitting at a turn when, just as the light turns green, the guy puts on his blinker, forcing me to wait while the cars in the right gleefully pass me without giving an inch to allow me to sneak into the other line. Hooray! Let’s hear it for those last minute blinker people, who give me a chance to appreciate the same traffic light another time through the green-yellow- red cycle. You never know: maybe the light will go from yellow to green this time and I will be the first one to witness it. And, maybe the traffic light will send me a Morse code signal with the

winning lottery number. I’m thankful I’m not in middle school. If you really need me to explain this one, you were probably sickeningly popular during those awful transition years and you need another rite of passage time in your life, just so you can understand the rest of us. I’m thankful someone isn’t trying to tell me, right now, what should outrage me. I recognize that people get outraged about real and important things, like how politicians focus too much on one thing and not the thing that matters most to them in the moment. But, hey, just because I remain calm while other people are loudly outraged doesn’t mean I deserve that disgustedly frustrated look I get when I shrug in the face of your fury. I’m thankful some of the dialogue in movies out right now is so bad that it’s added an unintended comic dimension while giving me the chance to appreciate the difference between quality entertainment and words

I’m thankful I’m not in middle school.

to connect computer animated excitement. The Mockingjay Part 2 film offers several such gems. In one scene, Peeta Mellark, played by Josh Hutchinson, and Gale Hawthorne, played by Liam Hemsworth, discuss their competing interest for Katniss Everdeen, acted with considerable seriousness by Jennifer Lawrence. They conclude that they’re not sure who Katniss will choose, but it probably doesn’t matter much because all three of them are unlikely to survive anyway. Oh yes, the sweet agony of the love triangle in the middle of a life or death struggle.

Shop locally for holiday specials this year

n recognition of the major role small businesses play in our national economy, Saturday, the day after Black Friday and two days after Thanksgiving, has been dubbed Small Business Saturday. Small businesses play an even greater role in our local economy and quality of life, and so we urge you to shop locally this Saturday and every day for the following reasons: This year we have partnered with the chambers of com-

merce to urge you to do your shopping locally. In fact, around this time every year, I urge everyone to shop locally. This is in part self-serving, for the community newspaper benefits directly from sales in the local store. The owner or manager of that store then has the money to advertise in the newspaper, which in turn brings them more customers, which brings more money, which brings more advertising and so on. And while the sophisticated media buyers will tell us that they need more advertising than usual because their business is off, in practical terms, for local store owners, it is hard to put out money for advertising when the dollars are not in the cash register. So, when business is good in the community, it’s good for the newspaper; the converse is also true. The point of this, however, is that when business is good in the community, it is good for all of us. We are tied to each other inextricably, and anyone who

doubts that must not be conscious. With the ending of the Cold War, small defense subcontractors here on Long Island quickly had to adjust production to serve other markets. The idea that no man is an island has never been truer than in the economics of today’s global village, and even as we are tightly bound together on a macroeconomic level, we are much more so on a microeconomic level. For one thing, most of the stores in our communities are managed by the owners who perhaps employ one or two local people to help them. More often than not, the owners, too, live locally. But even if they do not, chances are they will run out during lunch to do some errands and spend their money locally. Hence the dollars spent at home tend to stay at home, circulating and recirculating with a multiplier effect that enhances our standard of living and maintains our quality of life. The more that dollars turn

over, the more necessities, like groceries, are purchased, the more discretionary income is spent on the likes of toys and presents, the more durables, like cars and refrigerators, are bought and, finally, the more movies and concerts we attend preceded by dinner at a fine local restaurant. There is another aspect to the charity begins at home message. Local business people have been generous toward community groups that routinely approach them for contributions. And that, too, is in part selfserving. Many of those business people have children who play for the Little League teams asking to be sponsored. Ditto for the soccer league, the marching band, the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and the myriad of talented groups in need of underwriting. Their first thought is always to appeal to local businesses for help, and those have responded in the finest tradition of giving something back to the communities. LEISURE EDITOR Heidi Sutton SPORTS EDITOR Desirée Keegan ONLINE EDITOR Elana Glowatz

When business is good in the community, it is good for all of us. When we think of “downtown” in our villages, we think of where the stores are congregated. If those stores are largely empty, there will soon be more For Rent signs in the windows, which in turn bring fewer shoppers and weaken each shopping center, which then tends to encourage litter, then vandalism and a continued downward spiral. Pride of place is eroded, and that is directly connected to pride of self. Which brings me back to the basic message: Let’s all be selfserving, in the sense of helping ourselves. This holiday season, more than ever, shop locally. Your reward will be service with a smile. Earlier versions of this column were previously printed.

A Message to the Residents of the Town of Huntington For as little as 28 cents a day the members of the Huntington Community First Aid Squad have provided emergency medical services to the residents of the Town of Huntington for over 48 years. This year the Huntington Community First Aid Squad will respond to over 6,000 emergency alarms making them the second busiest ambulance company in Suffolk County. These services would not be possible if not for the efforts and commitment of the 280 volunteer members of the Huntington Community First Aid Squad. Thanks to the volunteer’s contributions, the residents of the Town of Huntington receive the finest emergency medical services and save over an estimated $4 million dollars a year by not paying for staff to provide these services. This could all change thanks to the Huntington Town Supervisor Frank Petrone’s proposed 2016 EMS Plan.

Petrone’s Proposed 2016 EMS Plan • Petrone recently cut the Huntington Community First Aid Squad's 2016 proposed budget by over $400,000 and has refused every urgent attempt to meet and discuss services. • Petrone has been talking about privatizing our volunteer ambulance company and insists that paid staff be hired, while slashing our operating funds and options. • Petrone's plan could cost the taxpayers millions of dollars in additional costs. • Petrone is now strongly "urging" that the ambulance company bill residents' insurance companies for services. This will cost taxpayers thousands of dollars in co-pays and deductibles.

It is time to say enough to Frank Petrone's attack on our volunteer ambulance company. Call Frank Petrone at 351-3030 and say enough is enough.
