Cryotherapy is the use of extremely low temperatures to treat symptoms such as tissue damage (it’s excellent for athletes), decrease inflammation, increase cell rejuvenation, improve skin tone and reduce signs of aging. It’s commonly used as a spot treatment.
Hay Bathing »
Benefits include a rejuvenated immune system, eased muscle pains and enhanced circulation in the body.

DIMENSIONS OF WELLNESS EMOTIONAL WELLNESS: Relates to understanding your feelings and coping effectively with stress. It is important to pay attention to self-care, relaxation, stress reduction and the development of inner resources so you can learn and grow from experiences.
ENVIRONMENTAL WELLNESS: Inspires us to live a lifestyle that is respectful of our surroundings. This realm encourages us to live in harmony with the Earth by taking action to protect it. Environmental well-being promotes interaction with nature and your personal environment. Everyone can have a strong environmental conscious simply by raising their awareness.
SPIRITUAL WELLNESS: Allows you to develop a set of values that help you seek meaning and purpose. This can be represented in many ways, for example, through relaxation or religion. But being spiritually well means knowing which resources to use to cope with issues that come up in everyday life.
PHYSICAL WELLNESS: Helps you perform social roles effectively and comfortably, and create a support network. This dimension of wellness allows you to not only develop encouraging relationships with peers, but also intimate relationships with romantic partners.
SOCIAL WELLNESS: Relates to maintaining a healthy body and seeking care when needed. Physical health is attained through exercise, eating well, getting enough sleep and paying attention to the signs of illness and getting help when needed.

PROBLEM STATEMENT The need to become a healthier person both physically and mentally has been on the rise throughout the world, and the use of a Wellness Center has allowed people to do this. Currently, there are many individual places for people to go to better their mental and physical health in Aspen, Colorado, but there is a need for a place that has all of these services in one space. It’s important for people to gain a greater connection to their mind, body, and soul, while at the same time gain a deeper connection to the nature around them.
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT- LAYERS All around us, the earth is created of layers, including the rock that makes the earth. Humans have layers as well. Our skin consists of multiple layers that protect our body. We have a very deep connection to earth and the nature we live upon. Finding this deeper connection is what can help us and the earth become healthier as a whole. Within this Wellness Center, visitors will experience going through the layers, or stages, of creating a better self. While being surrounded by mountains in Colorado, visitors will be able to see the layers that built them.
