About the Designer
I received a bachelor's degree in English Language & Literature (minor in Applied Communication Studies) from SIUE in May 2016. I decided to return to school in the fall of 2019 to pursue a more creative and fulfilling career in interior design.
I am a driven designer who craves a collaborative environment, looking to produce high-impact designs which exceed client expectations. My personal design style is a mix of traditional and modern, with each item and finish chosen for a specific purpose with great thought and care.
When not in the studio, I enjoy spending time with my husband, three fur babies, and two-year-old niece. My husband and I also enjoy hosting game nights, D&D sessions, and holiday events for our friends and family.

Shizen: Natural state/nature
Spring Junior Year
Project Duration: 3 wks.
5,900 sq.ft.
PROBLEM: Space plan and design a primary care clinic that is being renovated in Chicago, Illinois. The space plan should include all program requirements such as waiting areas, exam rooms, offices, and consultation spaces. A spa-like feel and amenities seen in hospitality are instrumental in creating a sense of “homefulness” and well-being. The renovated clinic should be flexible and allow for growth due to the changing landscape of healthcare from volume-based care to value-based care.
CONCEPT: Japanese Zen Garden
Shizen Healthcare is inspired by the aesthetic and purposes of traditional Japanese Zen Gardens. Light-colored flooring and wall treatments will imitate swirling sand; furniture and casework will stand in for rock elements throughout the clinic. The overall aesthetic will promote calm and serenity during patient visits as well as provide a peaceful, productive work environment for staff members.
