STATISTICS
From January 2020 to November 2020, Turks and Caicos hosted a series of in-person workshops to guide the development of the NPDP. Since Covid-19 restricted the number of possible meetings and of potential attendees, these were supplemented by online presentations and surveys. The public was encouraged to share their thoughts of the best attributes of the island and the areas that needed improvement. The community engagement workshops were held for each of the six islands that were part of the six (6) study areas.

BEACH ACCESS IMPROVEMENTS GRACE BAY (EXAMPLE) • Add beach shower with footwash • Landscape beautification opportunity • Add benches on widened paths
• Add trashcans to deter litter and promote cleanliness by the beach and entry
B
• Delineate private parking versus public parking through landscape divider • Clearly designate beach parking • Allow for vehicular turn around at end of beach acess
TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS | NATIONAL PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
• Add Beach Access signage on all beach entries. Signage should be consistent, durable, and visible. • Parking should not block the beach path access • Add bike racks • Maintain protective dune planting. When dune is not present, consider a dune re-nourishment program • Add signage or physical barriers to protect dune
