combined for seven Big 12 championships. We won conference trophies in baseball at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship as well as men’s tennis regular season and tournament titles. In addition to the indoor 60 meters, Ronnie was a Big 12 champion in the outdoor 100 meters with Brianna McGhee winning the women’s outdoor 100 hurdles. We also had a Big 12 title in the pool as Ford Story from our men’s swimming and diving program won in the 100 breaststroke. We had five sports (football, baseball, men’s tennis, rifle and equestrian) finish in the top 10 nationally with two others (men’s golf, men’s indoor track and field) in the top 20. Fourteen of our 21 sports reached postseason play with rifle and equestrian being national runners-up. We saw a comeback for the ages with our 47-41 triple-overtime victory over Oregon in the Valero Alamo Bowl! Gary Patterson’s squad showed that Horned Frogs never give up as we rallied from a 31-point deficit to tie for the largest comeback in bowl history and secondlargest ever in an FBS game. That memorable night in San Antonio made Bram Kohlhausen a household name in our proud football history. Speaking of “Never Ever Give Up,” our baseball program took inspiration in young Micah Ahern’s attitude to win a Super Regional in College Station and make a third-straight trip to the College World Series. We were the only program in the country to appear each of the last three seasons in Omaha. We were also the only school in the nation this year to finish with a top-10 ranking in football and reach the CWS. In fact, we’ve now accomplished that feat in each of the last two seasons. It was extremely rewarding to see our student-athletes and coaches again receive their share of national recognition. Baseball’s Jim Schlossnagle and equestrian’s Haley Schoolfield received national coach of the year awards. A previous national coach of the year made his way home this year as Jamie Dixon returned to campus to lead our men’s basketball program. Twenty-six student-athletes garnered All-America honors with football’s Josh Doctson being a unanimous consensus first-team selection. Additionally, Alex Rybakov became the first player in our men’s tennis history to be named ITA National Rookie of the Year. Six student-athletes were recognized as Academic All-Americans, while equestrian’s Kari Hancock received the Clark Society Leadership Scholarship. This year’s Annual Report chronicles our incredible 2015-16 athletics year that we are proud to share with our TCU family. I am proud to report that the 2015-16 athletics year was a time of historic achievement, both on and off the field, for TCU Athletics. While our studentathletes and coaches deservedly receive the headlines, I assure you that these accomplishments would not have been possible without your loyalty. On behalf of the entire TCU community, thank you for your support! First, our fundraising efforts continue to positively impact our student-athletes and provide them a first-class experience unlike any other in college athletics. The 2016 fiscal year saw a new record-breaking Frog Club Annual Giving total of more than $13 million and in excess of $39.9 million in overall athletic giving. The $39.9 million in cash giving ranked third all-time in TCU’s history for athletic fundraising ($47 million in fiscal year 2013; $40.4 million in fiscal year 2014) and maintained a fiveyear average of over $40 million in cash giving per year. This revenue is especially significant as it helps us cover soaring financial aid and student-athlete development costs. Private charitable support also helped complete two major facility projects in the past year: the opening of the new $72 million Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena and the $7.5 million improvements project at Charles and Marie Lupton Baseball Stadium at Williams-Reilly Field. The Schollmaier Arena project, in addition to providing a new home for TCU Basketball, included the opening of the new Jane & John Justin Hall of Fame, the Stuart Family Courtside Club, as well as new office space to house athletics staff and coaches. The Lupton Stadium improvements included the creation of a new locker room, classroom, team lounge, sports medicine center, equipment room, alumni locker room and coaches’ offices as well as a new video board. Other new facility projects completed on campus included new beach volleyball courts and a renovated rifle range. In addition to our fundraising success, we also experienced record progress in our ticket sales and attendance figures. For the upcoming 2016 campaign, we have a sellout of football season tickets for the fourth time in five seasons. We also set new records for season tickets in baseball, men’s basketball, soccer and volleyball. Baseball had over 2,300 season tickets sold with a record ticket revenue of close to $700,000. We ranked No. 1 in the nation for private schools and No. 11 overall in season attendance at 4,283 fans per game. Men’s basketball, keyed by the opening of the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena, reached 3,700 in season-ticket sales while topping the $1 million mark in ticket revenue for the first time in program history. Soccer led the Big 12 in attendance for a fourth straight season, representing each year we’ve been in the Big 12. Volleyball nearly doubled its season-ticket holders while selling out all its Big 12 matches. Before I address our success on the playing fields, please note what our studentathletes accomplished in the classroom. In the Spring 2016 semester, we posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.007 for our highest mark on record. One hundred and twelve student-athletes earned degrees in 2015-16. Another national championship made its way to TCU as track and field’s Ronnie Baker repeated in the indoor 60 meters! Our sports and individual student-athletes

SWIMMING AND DIVING Sara Brzozowski was a three-time first-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree. The nursing major broke school records in the 1,000 freestyle, 1,650 freestyle and the 800 freestyle relay. An economics major, Giulio Castagnara posted a career-best second-place finish at April’s Redhawk Invitational. For the year, he had two top-10 efforts as part of five top-20 results. Castagnara was among the team leaders with a 73.3 stroke average. He shot par or better eight times, including five rounds in the 60s.

Ashley Smith became the fourth player in TCU Volleyball history to earn AVCA AllAmerica honors. The League City, Texas, native was also named All-Big 12 and to the AVCA All-Southwest Region First Team. She finished with a team-high 294 kills, 2.91 kills per set, 0.26 aces per set and 12 double-doubles.

Ronnie Baker defended his 2015 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship in the 60 meters with an even better time in 2016. He was the fastest man in the world as he crossed the finish line in 6.47 seconds. The kinesiology major and Louisville, Ky., native’s time was the third-fastest in NCAA history. Baker is a 10-time All-American, two-time Big 12 champion and two-time NCAA champion.

FROGS in THE PROS

TCU was the only program in the nation to boast two MLB All-Stars in 2016. Matt Carpenter earned his third nod to the All-Star game, while Jake Arrieta was selected to his first All-Star contest.

TCU Football’s five players drafted this year were its most in a season since five were taken in 2011, following the Horned Frogs’ 13-0 Rose Bowl championship year. It was also one shy of the school record of six picks in the 2001 NFL Draft. TCU had multiple players drafted for the seventh time in the last eight seasons and ninth time in 11 years.

10 Colin Jones became the 27th Horned Frog to be on a Super Bowl team when he took the field for the Carolina Panthers. Super Bowl 50 marked the sixth time in the last eight years that TCU has had at least one player in the game.

Josh Doctson was a 2016 firstround draft pick of the Washington Redskins. He became the second Horned Frog in the last three seasons and third in the past seven years to be selected in the first round, joining defensive end Jerry Hughes (Indianapolis Colts, 2010) and cornerback Jason Verrett (San Diego Chargers, 2014).

Jason Verrett of the San Diego Chargers made his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2016. The Horned Frogs have had at least one Pro Bowler in four of the last five seasons.

TCU all-time great Dr. James I. Cash, Jr., was selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Hall of Fame. Cash joined four other inductees (Drew Brees, Jennifer Rizzotti, Dr. Angelo Capozzi and Fred Hoiberg) in the 2016 Hall of Fame class that was enshrined into the Academic All-America Hall of Fame at CoSIDA’s annual convention in Dallas on June 13.

TRACK AND FIELD

Sophomore men’s golfer Stefano Mazzoli was the only collegiate golfer in the field at the 145th Open Championship, one of golf’s four major tournaments. He was one of just two amateurs that qualified to play in the historic tournament, being played at Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland. Mazzoli, a native of Montorfano, Italy, became the first TCU golfer, while still a current student-athlete, to play in a major tournament.

Kim Collins

Collins logged an eighth-place finish in the 60-meter dash at the IAAF World Indoor Championships with a time of 6.56 seconds. Collins earned his spot to the finals after clocking in at 6.49 in the semis. He also set a personal best in the 100-meter dash this year with a wind-legal time of 9.93. Collins will represent Saint Kitts and Nevis in the 100 meters at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

SWIMMING AND DIVING Crespo will represent Panama in the 100-meter breaststroke at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. TCU Volleyball alumni Irene Hester Pollock has made a name for herself on the professional beach volleyball circuit and concluded the 2015 season by winning the NORCECA North Bay tournament and NORCECA St. Lucia tournament with partner Caitlin Ledoux to mark her first career tournament championships.

TCU Men’s Tennis current student-athlete Cameron Norrie had a strong showing on the pro circuit this past year, as the Auckland, New Zealand, native captured his first three singles professional titles of his career. During the fall of 2015, Norrie won the Futures of Mansfield before claiming the Tulsa Pro Championships and the Wichita Tennis Open in back-to-back weeks this past summer.

Former TCU standout Trey Zeigler was named Euro Basketball Player of the Week after scoring 29 points for BasketBrno of the European Basketball League on March 30. Ziegler was later selected as the eighth overall pick in the second round of the Yves Defraigne Draft by Belfius Mons-Hainaut, which competes in the highest division of the Belgian League.

RIFLE

For the second time in her career, Scherer can call herself an Olympian. She will compete both in the smallbore and air rifle events for the United States in Rio. The 2016 Games mark her second appearance as an air rifle Olympian and her first in smallbore.

TCU all-time great Kyan Anderson, who was named MVP of the Scooore! League in Belgium during the season, averaged 13.5 points and 3.5 assists in leading the Crelan Okapi Aalstar to the Scooore! League Championship series.

Ugen set a Great Britain national indoor long jump record as she took home bronze at the IAAF World Indoor Championships with a mark of 22 feet 9 inches (6.93 meters). Ugen will represent Great Britain in the women’s long jump at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

The honorees, who can only be recognized once, must have 100 or more hours of earned credit with a cumulative GPA of 3.80 at the time of the nomination.

331 – Different student-athletes were named to the Big 12 Commissioners’ Honor Roll this year.

40 – Individuals who were named to the Big 12 All-Rookie Team. Nominated by each institution, student-athletes on the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team must be new, first-time/incoming freshmen who have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial coursework and achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00.

48 – Student-athletes who posted a perfect 4.00 GPA in the academic year semester.

3.007 – The departmental GPA at the conclusion of the spring semester. This is the first time TCU has been over 3.0. 112 – Student-athletes who graduated in the 2015-16 academic year.

For the second year in a row, the TCU Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams took a day off during their spring season to spend the afternoon at Cook Children’s Hospital to play and teach the patients all about tennis.

The TCU Men’s Basketball program spoke about the importance of education at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth during in December. Members of the program also took time to play games, dance and do various activities with the Fort Worth kids.

A random act of kindness by Trevone Boykin, in asking young Iowa State fan Abby Faber what her name is, became a national sensation. Anonymous TCU donors then stepped forward and flew Abby and her family to the Horned Frogs’ next home game, Oct. 29 vs. West Virginia. Abby was introduced to the Amon G. Carter Stadium crowd and received a standing ovation.

The TCU Equestrian program supported “The Day of the Girl” in downtown Fort Worth in October. Throughout the year, equestrian did numerous volunteer projects around Tarrant County and Fort Worth. The program has been awarded the Hal Jay Community Spirit Award two out of the last three years at TCU.

While in Omaha for the College World Series, the TCU Baseball team took some time to visit patients at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center.

TCU Women’s Basketball visited The Stayton at Museum Way and participated in an ice cream social with the residents.

The Hal Jay Community Spirit Award winners, the TCU Women’s Tennis team went to the Ronald McDonald House in Fort Worth and cooked and prepared a meal for all of the families staying at the house.

The TCU Baseball team returned to Fort Worth from the College World Series and paid a visit to the house of their special teammate – Micah Ahern. A group of donors generously stepped forward to establish The Micah Ahern TCU Baseball Scholarship to be awarded every year to the studentathlete who embraces the notion to Never Ever Give Up and who possesses the strength and courage that our Superhero Micah embodies every day.

Members of the TCU Volleyball team went to numerous elementary schools this past spring to spend time in many different classrooms reading to the children and giving back to the Fort Worth community.

TCU Women’s Basketball wrote birthday wishes to Rylan Macomb on balloons and released them outside of Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena. “Smiling’ Rylan” had battled Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia before suddenly passing away in April 2016.

The TCU Soccer team takes pride in hosting Special Olympics Texas every year at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium and sharing their sport with all of the athletes.

TCU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Chris Del Conte announced the hiring of Jamie Dixon as head menâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s basketball coach on March 21. Dixon, a 2007 TCU Hall of Fame Inductee, became the 22nd head coach in the history of the Horned Frogs menâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s basketball program. He returns to his alma mater after serving 13 seasons as head coach at the University of Pittsburgh. NATIONAL HONORS Haley Schoolfield EQUESTRIAN

NCEA Coach of the Year TCU Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield was named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Coach of the Year in May. Schoolfield guided the Horned Frogs to the program’s first National Championship RunnerUp performance at the 2016 NCEA National Championships in Waco. The Horned Frogs made NCEA history by becoming the lowest seed ever to advance to the finals under the current format. In the end, the Frogs, who ended the season ranked No. 2 in the nation, became the first Big 12 Conference team to compete in the finals against an SEC foe.

ITA National Men’s Tennis Rookie of the Year After a successful debut season as a Horned Frog, TCU Men’s Tennis player Alex Rybakov became the first player in program history to be named ITA National Men’s Tennis Rookie of the Year. The Big 12 Freshman of the Year, ITA Texas Region Rookie of the Year and ITA Texas Region Player to Watch, Rybakov scored 21 wins after joining the team in January with 11 of those victories coming over ranked opponents. Rybakov rounded out the season with a final Oracle/ITA singles ranking of No. 21 and wins in nine of his last 11 matches.

Jim Schlossnagle Baseball America National Coach of the Year After guiding a program full of new faces back to Omaha for the third straight season, TCU Baseball head coach Jim Schlossnagle was named Baseball America’s National Coach of the Year. The honor is the second of his career as he was the 2010 NCBWA National Coach of the Year.

2015-16 ACCOMPLISHMENTS The Frog Club rolled out a new look in January 2016. After a year and a half of planning, the rebranding process began with a new, cleaner, simplified logo. The implementation of the marketing plan will continue throughout the upcoming months. Frog Club members enjoyed the opportunity for several hospitality events and celebrations during post season play at the Valero Alamo Bowl and the College World Series.

TCU Frog Club Membership Team again volunteered more than 400 hours of their time to support the TCU Frog Club staff. The membership team is instrumental to the Frog Club by raising awareness of the Frog Club and its mission of student-athlete support. The Annual Tailgate Party at Amon G. Carter Stadium prior to the West Virginia game was another rousing success as more than 500 Frog Club members attended.

Frog Club Road Trip

The Donor Rewards Program continued to grow during its third year of operation. The program offers unique gifts and inside access to TCU Athletics that is exclusive to Frog Club members. This year’s program was highlighted by a partnership with Tiffany & Co., where donors were given the opportunity to select a gift from the Tiffany & Co. website.

The Frog Club set new benchmarks for athletics fundraising during the 2016 fiscal year. For the fourth time in history and the fourth year in a row, the TCU Frog Club covered the entire cost of all student-athlete tuition. In addition to covering the cost of scholarships the Frog Club brought in more than $39 million in cash giving to TCU Athletics.

TCU Volleyball, along with the Frog Club, announced the inaugural year of the Side-Out Club. Horned Frogs fans can join the club to help support the volleyball budget.

Donor Dinner

During the spring football scrimmage in April of 2016, the Frog Club launched a new premium hospitality area for Amon G. Carter Stadium. The Touchdown Club inside the Stuart Family Courtside Club will be a great place for fans to enjoy the game for many seasons to come.

The fall of 2015 saw some much-needed additions to Charlie & Marie Lupton Stadium at Williams-Reilly Field including new team space and locker rooms, a larger video board, and additional general admission seating. The fan-friendly additions have made a significant impact on TCU Baseball by modernizing the stadium and the new player specific areas have greatly enhanced the student-athlete experience.

In addition to new space, the project will allow football to appropriately brand the new space to bolster recruiting efforts for on-campus visits with recruits and families and high school coaches.

Through the addition of new personnel and staff, the TCU Football program has outgrown its office space and is in need of additional office and meeting space to effectively operate at a high level. By moving the current athletics administration offices into the new Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena, this will allow football to exclusively use the upstairs level of the John Justin Athletic Center. It will also provide ample space for continued growth and future needs.

The Lettermen’s Legacy Endowment Fund (LLEF) has surpassed $200,000 in just its third year. The LLEF is an annual revenue stream to preserve our association’s past, present and future. The LLEF balance is up to $215,000 and will payout more than $10,000. The Association continued to reach out into its member communities with the annual TCU Lettermen’s National Month of Service event for April. TCU Letterwinners performed more than 1,000 hours of community service across 26 states, 65 cities and three foreign countries.

The highlight of the year was the opening of the New Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena, the Lettermen’s Heritage Campaign and the completion of the Lettermen’s Wall of Excellence. More than 210 Letterwinners from all sports, genders and decades, raised more than $1.68 million during the Campaign and more than $12 million overall. Those that generously gave to the campaign are listed on the Lettermen’s Wall in the north concourse and in the Hall of Fame area of Schollmaier Arena.

Thanks to the generosity of longtime donors Bill and Sue Parrish, TCU unveiled statues of two-time national championship football coach Dutch Meyer, 1938 Heisman Trophy recipient Davey Oâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;Brien and all-time winningest football coach Gary Patterson in front of the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena. The dedication ceremony took place April 2. The statues were the work of renowned sculptor David Clark out of Lander, Wyo.

With opening remarks from TCU Chancellor Dr. Victor Boschini, the Dec. 15 dedication of the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena was a campus celebration of the new home for TCUâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s basketball programs. A TCU Trustee since 1996, Ed Schollmaier is the retired CEO of Alcon Laboratories, Inc., while Rae was a dedicated civic volunteer and longtime philanthropic leader in Fort Worth. Ed chaired the Building and Grounds Committee and served on the Executive, Fiscal Affairs and Intercollegiate Athletics Committees, as well as the Committee on Trusteeship.Â

BASEBALL FACILITY UPGRADES The Horned Frogs baseball team facility received a facelift prior to the start of the 2016 campaign. The revamped facility featured an upgraded equipment room, state-of-the-art athletic training facilities, a brand new player lounge, a classroom, a new locker room, coaches locker room and pro player locker rooms.

Prior to the beginning of the 2016 Beach Volleyball season, construction was completed on the new home facility for the team that is located right next to the TCU Recreation Center. Construction will conclude this fall on the locker rooms for the TCU Beach Volleyball and Volleyball programs that will also feature a team lounge and coaches conference room.

TURNING POINT RANCH Fresh off its national runner-up performance, the TCU Equestrian program has seen quite a few changes to its home arena at Turning Point Ranch in Springtown, Texas. The programâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Western arena is currently in the process of being made into a covered arena. The project should be completed in time for fall competition in 2016.
