Gunshot victim in hospital

A TWENTY-nine-year-old man is in critical condition in hospital after being injured in a shooting on Aviation Drive, Providenciales, on Thursday (May 28).

Officers were called to the scene just after 6pm where they found one casualty with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

He was quickly taken to Cheshire Hall Medical Centre in a private vehicle where the trauma team treated him.

“The patient was admitted to the high dependency unit and is currently awaiting transfer overseas for tertiary level care,” TCI Hospital press officer Nikira John said.
