The police press office explained that a person was caught on camera entering the parking lot and setting fire to the cars at about 2.50am. Firefighters were called to the scene to extinguish the massive flames. Luckily no one was injured in the incident. Commissioner of Police Trevor Botting said: “Two of the three cars that were destroyed at the
Police Headquarters came into our possession recently and were involved in an investigation. “They were already processed and we had no further investigative requirements for them.” He said the third car was a personal vehicle of a police officer. The commissioner added: “An attack on the police force is an attack on the community and it is unacceptable. “We will be conducting an extensive investigation to locate and take action against those responsible through our CCTV system that is in place.” Anyone with information on the incident can call 911 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1-800-8477.
