The Drape Tool

The Drape tool projects selected edges onto faces directly underneath. Projected edges should subdivide the affected faces. The Drape tool has many uses, such as defining surface areas and projecting lines onto volumes to create architecture (Fig. 12-9, Fig. 12-10).
