The spoken word A l e t t e r
f r o m
Greetings, Once again the holiday season is upon us, and once again I will be singing the same old song! As Christmas approaches many have already bought gifts for others and still many are in the process to do so, even up to the last minute. That’s something that has come to really amaze me as to how so many put so much effort and detail into Christmas shopping, but not the same to serve the One who Christmas is suppose to be about! The love that’s shown, the parties, the money that’s spent, and come December 26th things are pretty much back to normal.

Him is to help those in need. Whether it’s sharing the word of God with those who don’t know Him, feeding and clothing the poor, or assisting the elderly. Either way, there’s so much more we can be doing with our time and resources other than exchanging or buying gifts for those who already have more than they know what to do with. Before I change the subject let me leave you with some words from the Apostle Paul: ―One person esteems one day above another, another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind‖. Moreso, remember the reason for the season, and know why you follow in this tradition!

As we learn from studying the Bible, gifts were given to Christ when the wise men had found Him. As we learn how to glorify Him we can still present Him with gifts. Jesus was always about helping others in need and once we’ve accepted Him as Lord and Savior, our greatest gift to

Our Vision
The mission of ―The Day of the Lord Ministries‖ is to embrace offenders, ex-offenders, and their family members with love through the various groups under our umbrella; to assist them in becoming equipped with the things they’ll need to be productive citizens, and loving family members.
Membership in The Day of The Lord Ministries includes all persons participating in any of the stated Ministries who choose to embrace our stated vision and values
To be an instrument through which the power of the Holy Spirit can minister to offenders, ex-offenders, and their family members. Causing them to be self confident as they learn their purpose; to develop a new attitude toward their circumstance and rise above it.
“Grace, mercy, and peace from God…” Titus 1:4 “MERCY AND GRACE” In the Bible the words Mercy and Grace should have more meaning to us than in our physical life. If you’ve even stood before a judge you may have received some mercy because he or she was in a good mood. You also may have received some grace because someone you knew; knew the judge. The word mercy means: ―compassion‖ – not receiving the punishment that is due to us. The word grace means: ―favor‖ – receiving that which we didn’t earn or deserve. In light of that, let’s look at mercy and grace from a Biblical standpoint. Psalm 145:8 says: ―The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy‖. Many should be able to relate to that scripture being that we all have sinned and fell short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Many of us rejected, and rejected God’s gift of salvation, yet He was still longsuffering with us, that’s mercy! In Ephesians 2:8-9 says: ―For by grace you have been saved…not of works, lest anyone should boast‖. If you have accepted the gift of salvation, it was God’s unmerited favor, not any good deeds or favors you have done. Salvation can’t be earned; it’s simply a gift to us from God. James 2:13 says: ―For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment‖. Let me assure you, just as you stood before that judge and knew you were guilty, you sought mercy and grace instead of justice. That’s what we’ll be seeking when we stand before God, because we’re all guilty! But the scripture from James declares, if we don’t show none we want receive any. Be sure your mercy and grace is on display at all times, you’ll need some one day!
Be Blessed! Virgil L. Wilson Sr.
LORD WAITING
Greetings in the name of the Lord. This is my first time writing in to the ministry, and yes, I will admit, it’s a bit overdue. All in His time Don’t know where I’m from but it couldn’t be far, maybe as close as though, Amen? Amen. you are.
Lost in a lost world, no direction in sight. Dashing spirits from deep within. Raging storms are put to end. Cries of pain are heard from east to west.
The reason for this letter is to testify to the power and grace of our Lord. He was definitely present at the closing ceremony of Kairos #45 here at the Beto Unit. He always is, of course, but this closing was special to a lot of people for a lot of different reasons. A lot of us here got to see a brother in free world attire, keeping it real and coming back. That he was able to do it so soon after being released is a testament to the power of God. Yeah Nicho, I’m talking about you. (smile) Keep your head up and your feet rooted and grounded in the Lord bro.
Day’s beginning, dawning light, people busy, life goes by. The Lord, He waits for all who come. There’s still the time and the place. To reach the one with tender mercy and loving grace. This is all we ever truly had to face, His loving arm’s waiting to embrace. For all who come would not be lost. Love did come to take our place, so we could someday see His face. AMEN By: James E. Ray #654408 - Eastham Unit
I got the privilege to see, but not meet, many of the brothers and sisters involved in this ministry. One day, Lord willing, I’ll get the chance to meet you. The ministry was repping strong at the Kairos closing though! And we can’t forget to mention the 42 brothers who experienced agape love on this past Kairos walk. Stay focused on Jesus. Everything else will fall into place. I appreciate this ministry and the hope and inspiration it conveys with each newsletter. Keep up the great work and know that you all will continue to be in my prayers. A brother in Christ, Jacob Reyna - Beto One
“HE DOES ALL THINGS WELL” by Joe Mathis #1200592 (BETO UNIT) “They were extremely astonished and said, He has done everything well. He even makes deaf people hear, and people unable to speak, talk.” HCSB (Mark 7:37) As Jesus was ministering in the region of Decapolis a man was brought to Him who was deaf and mute. By the power of God the man’s ears were opened and tongue loosed. So amazed were those who witnessed this great wonder, they proclaimed: “He has done all things well!!” Indeed, what Jesus did and still does is just what we need. He is truly worthy of such praise for it! He did well by creating us for His glory. He did well by emptying Himself and took on the limitations of humanity and dwelt among us. he did well by His sinless life, for He became the Perfect Sacrifice for our sin. He did well by saying “Amen” to the cross by raising His son from the dead. He does well when He frees the sinner from guilt by His shed blood. Everything Jesus does is done liberally, graciously, and mercifully. In view of these things we just join the multitudes (in Mark 7:37) by saying, “He has done all things well!!” The Host of Heaven also rejoices because of one sinner who comes to Jesus with child like faith in Him. The saints rejoice because we have been made kings and priest unto God. Jesus ability to heal broken hearts and open blind eyes has reached down to all of mankind and has offered Himself to all that will call on His name! Tired of things not going well in your life? Fear not, there is a spring of joy ahead, His name is Jesus and He truly does all things well!!! Dear Virgil & Shy; I don’t know how you got my name & number, but I would like to thank the person that gave it to you… I also want to thank you for including me in your ministries. Now, this is the reason for my letter, I was having this saying on my mind, and I was about to share it with Our Church, and then I read this months paper, and it is so great the way the Lord works, this story in the November newsletter was trying to say what was on my mind, and I would like you to print this, because this is the most important thing I ever heard… When you are walking down the road of life, and you believe in the Lord, and you get to the end, and you find out that there is no Lord, it’s a lot better than getting through life NOT believing in the Lord and get down to the end and find out that there is a Lord…. The story I’m talking about is called: “Now that’s foolishness” I want to send out a shout to my brother in Christ; Jimmy Nash on the Michael Unit, Jimmy keep your head up, Jesus has something for you in the end, and I love you brother, send me your TDCJ#, I’m waiting to see the Commissioner, GOOD LUCK. Shy thanks for forwarding my newsletters to Wynne, love what you are doing for the Lord...John Moore NOTE: John, Jimmy’s TDCJ# is 1066121
TOO MUCH JUNK IN YOUR TRUNK Most people have heard the phrase ―Junk In The Trunk‖ and have placed it with a woman’s rear; this is how they describe beauty like Beyoncé whose fabulous figure exemplifies junk in the truck. However what I want to talk to you about is a friend of mine that I use to work with. One day we went on a lunch break in his car and he had so much junk in that car until he was going to put it in the trunk so us four guys could go on break together. So he opened up the trunk to put some of his clothes and his kids toys and other items in the trunk, but when we looked in that trunk it had too much junk in it until we had to cram the stuff all in the trunk. His car looked good on the outside but he had a lot of junk in his trunk. Jesus said in Matthew 23: 27-29 on the out side people look good but inside is full of dead man bones. See nothing about my friends car on the outside of his car prepared me for the mess on the inside. I know people who look good on the outside but they have all kinds of junk in their spiritual trunk and it smells in a relationship and undermines what could have been because they refuse to discard what use to be they refuse to discard what was. My friend cleaned out his trunk and that is what we must do, we must get rid of those junky hang-ups and self motives and see God’s plan for our life. In closing if we was going to seek a new position it does no good to change jobs if we retain old attitudes. If you are going to make great decisions that leave you with no regrets, then you must clean out the junk in your trunk. By the Minister of Music - King David W. Brooks Michael Unit Dear Brothers & Sisters In Christ: ―FOCUS‖ We normally focus on traveling on a bumpy road most of our life, we need to get up and dust ourselves off and start traveling on the straight road. Once on the straight road God will give us the insight in His word who truly seek Him, we must want to see His word, His grace, His mercy and His love every day of our lives. Everybody in the church have a past so the church shouldn’t talk down, but talk up to the church. We all are ex-something in the church, so stop the strife and start showing the love of God to everyone. Continue to spread the: G=God O=Only S=Son P=Promise E=Eternal L = Life to all no matter what! Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven (Matthew 5:16). Everything on the earth belong to God, we are just overseers of them. Man has destroyed everything that God has blessed us with for their own evil desires. When we focus on our passion no matter how great or small we need to give God all the glory for them! In God we boast all the day long and praise thy name forever. Selah (Psalm 44:8) What happens when our focus turn from Jesus? As long as your focus is on Jesus, walking on water is possible. Our everyday life will go right and our reactions to ―bumps in the road‖ are Christ like. By focusing on God’s word He will make the wrong things right. God is not yet through with us, He has brought us out of darkness into light. He gives us joy that no one could, God is good to us…Take a look around you and you will see how good He is too. God is loving and kind, longsuffering and true, patient and forgiving, He reaches out to us. When nothing else could help, God’s love lifted us…When Jesus is in our life; submission is the most natural expression of His character and nature. And that will be the most natural expression of our new nature within the relationship with God! We must want to give up our ways of power and manipulation and just focus on Jesus! Praying for you all May God Bless You Lord Jesus Christ Ministry Joseph Junior Evans #604541 Michael Unit
―IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT‖ Only if he would have realized, appreciated what he had in you when he was with you, maybe, just maybe things would have been different. Unfortunately he was overwhelmed by greed and became very selfish in all his ways. Neglecting the most important individual in his life; YOU! A young lady who is very precious, dear, and deserving. Someone who is willing to except him back time after time after time again from being out all weekend long doing whatever with whomever. Inspiring him to do better when he himself felt that all hope was gone. Yet he had the nerves, the audacity to call you out your name. To say that you ain’t nothing and you never will be nothing. Ladies, will you do me a favor; no, please do yourselves a favor and stop blaming yourself for the many things that have occurred in your relationship and/or marriage. Why? Because it’s not your fault. It’s not your fault that he used you, abused you, and mislead you into believing that he had your best interest. It’s not your fault that he lied to you, cheated on you and often beat you; taken full advantage of you: Ladies please believe me when I say that it’s not your fault being born with a loving, considerate, and compassionate heart…. When the serpent deceived Eve (Genesis 3:1-6) into believing that the fruit from the tree was good to eat, he didn’t do anything unexpectedly. She was created that way; with a trusting heart. YOU too were born/created with a trusting heart. That’s why when we think that we may have gotten over on you with lying about where we’ve been or cheated on you with your best friend; in the end we realize that it was our fault. This is why you’re able to move on or in most cases maintain the same relationship; due to your trusting heart and forgivable love. Yes; it’s that loving spirit that lies deep down inside which allow you to forgive even when you mentally don’t want too. It’s that loving spirit that tells you ―I’m going to trust him again even though I know he’s going to mess up‖ and let’s face it; if he does it once, it’s a great possibility he will do it twice. Now your mind begins to deceive you and you question your sanity’ ―what’s wrong with me? I know I can do better than this, am I really whipped?‖ Ladies please allow me to assure you that it’s nothing wrong with you nor are you whipped. That it’s not your fault you have a loving, compassionate, understanding, and forgiving heart, you were born that way; remember! You were created to love and be a companion to your man; ―Genesis 2:18-24‖ to support him in all that he does, to trust and believe in him until shown differently, and even they you continue to reach out to him. Why? ―As a Christian we take reference to 1 Corinthians 7:10-11, Colossians 3:18, Ephesians 5:22-24 – Yet as a writer I take reference to the household‖. These are some of the same characteristics you’ve seen your mother display. A strong young lady who was willing to do whatever it takes to hold her family and/or relationship together. I mean; how many times have you heard your mother say, ―You too have said‖ he got one more time and I’m leaving his butt? Yet that one more time still haven’t come. So tell me, what little girl doesn’t desire to be like her mother; a mother who didn’t/don’t give up on her man? And what little girl doesn’t desire a man like her father? We will discuss more about the different characteristics of the female in the title ―The Transformation‖… Ladies it’s time that you stand up and put your emotional differences to the side while trusting in the Almighty God. Allowing Him to guide you and direct your path. Having faith that He will send you the man you NEED and not just the man you WANT. Because the man YOU wanted has put YOU through these unnecessary changes. Which is not the man GOD desire for you. I mean, why not wait on God, you can do bad all by yourself. Remember! Ladies listen; I know it get lonely sometimes and NO ONE wants to come home to an empty household. Yet you have to remember that you deserve much better than what you are allowing yourself to settle for. Now granted; many females suffer from low self esteem, no self worth, and other forms of mental, emotional and physical depression which make them very vulnerable , and please believe me, when we acknowledge our weakness, we take full advantage of them in the wrong way. Why? because many ―just like myself‖ was exposed to these type of relationships from our household to the streets in our neighborhoods. And its sad, its very sad that we fail to love you, protect you, support you, and respect you. Yet most of all we fail to appreciate you for who you are ―A lady‖ what you are ―God gift to man‖ and not for something that you don’t desire to be ―Used, Abused, Mislead, Beat, and Mistreated. All through history you’ve been standing up and standing strong therefore don’t allow your circumstances to define you now. Don’t allow the trials and tribulations, the loneliness you face daily to cause you to become stagnant and just settle for anything or anyone for as that matter. God has a purpose for ALL things He allow you to go through. You are a living-walking testimony; and if you haven’t been through nothing you can’t tell no one about nothing. So as James 1:2 says ―My brethren, sister - count it all joy when you fall into various trials: ―However if he’s not meeting your expectations, then except what ever investment ―car, clothes, cell phone payment, money, etc.‖ as a learning/growing experience and move on. Because you must remember, you must understand that it’s not your fault, it’s his fault. It’s his fault that he fail to acknowledge that you are God’s gift to him. It’s his fault that he didn’t realize what he had in you and with you when he was with you. it’s his fault that he fail to look into your beautiful eyes and see that you were once a very beautiful, sexy, and intelligent young lady. Ladies it’s his fault that he only seen the beauty of you and not in you. so don’t settle for less when you don’t have to. Again, you were born beautiful, you were born intelligent, very special and unique. If anyone in this world deserve the very best it has to offer, it’s you. I love you; yet Jesus Christ loves you even more. That’s why He hung, bled, and died on the cross; for you and I. Kent Northcutt #1241935, Beto Unit, 1391 FM 3328, Tenn. Colony TX 75880
“EXPOSING THE SERPENT”… “But I am afraid, lest as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds should be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ”… 2 Corinthians 11:3, (NASB) Heavenly Father, I thank you for another opportunity to be used by you, guide these words to bring glory only to your name, and open up the hearts of everyone who hunger and thirst after righteousness, in Jesus name Amen!!! Greetings Men and Women of God; First let me say thank you to my brother and sister Virgil and Shy, I am truly blessed by every issue I receive from you. I pray right now that the favor of God would rest upon your lives and your families, see we serve a generational God- the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (that’s grandfather, father, and son). This is my first time writing and I thank God for this opportunity because without His guidance these would only be words, but because of the grace of God, I am truly blessed to be able to be used by God the Father. There’s a word from the Lord concerning the SERPENT! See the serpent showed his face back in Genesis 3:1-6, and the writer of our opening scripture revert back to warn his congregation he says, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, see the bible said Eve was deceived by the craftiness of the serpent. And to get a better understanding of the serpents tricks we need to read Genesis chapter 3: 1-6 and you will find that the serpent got Eve to adopt his thoughts. He got her to believe him over God! Eve believed the lie! And Paul was warning his listeners about the serpent existing in their day and time, well men and women I come to expose the serpent today in our day and time. The serpent attacks our minds (or our thoughts) he tries to get us to believe his word over God’s word, Satan (or the serpent) don’t want us to believe the spiritual forces of wickedness is real. He want us to think he’s not real, well we learn that he’s real and the he’s on the prowl today, so how does Satan move around today? He moves around in the thoughts of people. Well let me share what scripture teaches about the statement I just made, look with me at Acts 5:3, we see Satan filling the heart of this man to lie to Peter, Ananias allowed Satan to control his thoughts. Look with me at John 13:2, here we see the devil putting into the heart of Judas to betray Jesus, again this wasn’t Judas thought; it was Satan’s thought. Here’s a really good one: remember Peter, in Matthew 16:21-23, we see Jesus informing His disciples of the things He must suffer and be killed, but He would rise up on the third day. Peter begins to tell Jesus these things shall never happen to you Lord! Jesus responded to Peter by saying, “Get Behind Me Satan” Jesus wasn’t calling Peter Satan, but He was saying the mindset Peter had wasn’t his, but was influenced by Satan. I would like to pause here to say a very important word, Peter was a follower of Jesus and Satan influenced his thoughts, so let this be a warning to us men and women of God, because the thoughts we may entertain may be demonic influenced. I believe God want to send a special warning out to married couples, be mindful of your thought towards your mates, the thought of independent in marriage isn’t from God and the Bible doesn’t teach it. But the bible does teach becoming one flesh, and its birth in words such as Our Home, Our Cars, and Our Bank Account. There’s no more singleness of anything we have as married couples, see 1 Corinthians 7:4, says, “The wife does not have authority over her body, but the husband does; and likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does” if we follow these instructions our marriages will be a lot sweeter, ladies you don’t have the right to do anything outside your marriage with your bodies it belongs to your husband, men likewise, we don’t have the right to do anything with our bodies it belongs to our wives! Now to live any other way would be to believe a lie, and will mean that the serpent is influencing your thought! See I had an opportunity to be a part of a marriage seminar here on Beto 1 and I listen to many men and women speak about their spouses and from what I heard these words was birthed in my spirit, so I pray they encourage someone. BE BLESSED!!! In Christ Hands, Stephen Bradford Beto 1
―The Light of the Body‖… As I was sitting here studying God’s word, it truly blessed me…The lamp of the Body is truly the eye…Here we will look at a couple of principles, LIGHT & DARKNESS… Let’s look at Matthew 6: 22 & 23… (22) says ―The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light… Now the person with the good eye or healthy eye is the one whose intent is to serve GOD, not the materialistic things of life such as the lust of the flesh. Matthew 5:14 says ―YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A CITY THAT SET ON A HILL CANNOT BE HIDDEN. Light indicate the citizen’s influence for good as they penetrate secular society, because it’s all about him our Lord and Savior ―JESUS CHRIST‖. That’s why you let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works but GOD get ALL the glory. AMEN… (23) will speak about the darkness it says ―But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! So someone may say Evangelist, how’s that? Let’s look and see; the person with the bad eye or darkness is selfish, covetous, and miserly. Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not DARKNESS (Luke 11:35)…here the Greek for darkness is skotos the Hebrew is scotia…God says I have come as a LIGHT into the world, that WHOEVER believes in ME should not abide in darkness, gloom, evil, sin, obscurity, night, ignorance, moral depravity, scotia basically describes everything earthly or demonic that is at enmity with God. The eye is regarded as the lens of the SOUL and reflects the total orientation of one’s life. The image of the ―GOOD EYE‖ speaks of the positive effect of true ENLIGHTMENT. I encourage each of you, be full of the LIGHT of LIFE so that there be no darkness in you. Develop a personal COMMITMENT to the Lord and His will. Let’s close with this FOR YOU WERE ONCE IN DARKNESS, BUT NOW YOU ARE LIGHT IN THE LORD, WALK AS CHILDREN OF LIGHT (Ephesians 5:8) TO STAY IN LIGHT; STAY ON GOD’S WORD AND PRAY! The light of the body. ―May God Greatly & Richly Bless You is my prayer. IN CHRIST LOVE Evangelist Jimmy L. Tennison MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR ―JESUS IS THE REASON‖
DON’T STOP “KEEP GOING” It’s been a while since I wrote and shared with you all. However I want to share with you some very bad news to me. I just lost my Aunt Faye 11-9-11 a week after her birthday, two days before that I get a letter from my little cousin who was 11 at the time I left the world. Hold on let me back up! Since 10-11-11, it seem like the fire in me was great. The Lord through me help two brothers get out the car “Jude 1:23”. One brother I had to come out of my pocket to get him, so he can walk free in Christ. So as you see, the Lord is moving. Then in a prayer, I cried out to God and asked Him why come I’m so alone, why come I can’t have a wife, I’ve done everything, reached the poor, helped the sick, and even shared a word with some of the officers. In all that, I don’t have a family. Lord, if it’s your will let me hear from somebody in my family. GOD LISTENED! However, He’s been showing me so much, I preached at Kairos about “Face to Face with God, how when we die we see Daddy for who He is (Revelation 22:4)”. Then I had a dream that I died in the dayroom, I believe God show is things that could happen if we don’t take heed to our everyday walk. 11-5-11 I get a letter from my cousin; Carolyn telling me it was Aunt Faye birthday (Nov. 2, 2011), I didn’t have a card so with a old card I cut the birthday sign off and sent it to her on 11-6-11. The day she was supposed to get my letter she was killed in a car wreck. I was heart broken, I wanted to know if she got my letter. The race I was running, I could run no more, I lost all my joy and trust, WHY? Because it caught me by surprise. I cried for two days, the church prayed for me and I wanted to get rid of what God had given me. The new life I now live in Christ. I know at times we face or go through things in this life that take us by surprise...we must keep moving on. My Aunt Pee Wee and her (Aunt Faye) was mad at each other before she died. So Faye passed without making it right. we have to always remember God is in control. I told you’ll about my little cousin Jay writing me, well the Lord showed me that, I’ll give you what you want, and what you asked for. However you ain’t gone understand that it’s Aunt Faye’s time to come home, so my son, “you asked for somebody in your family to write” I gave you just that. Brothers and Sisters in Christ even though mt heart is renewed, I will always be thankful for the life I have now. Please spend much time with you mom, sister, aunt, wife, brother, son, husband, uncle as much as you can. To all the brothers and sisters in white, I pray that the Lord open more doors for you all. Shy & Virgil, Thank you, I want you both to know, I love you guys, The Lord is not through yet, the best is yet to come. There are times when God sends thunder to stir us There are times when God sends blessings to lure us There are times when God sends nothing but silence as He honors us There are times when God sends freedom to choose where we spend ETERNITY! GOD WILL WORK IT OUT I sailed many dark seas through hopeless storms of bitterness, hate and resentment toward my mother who gave me up for adoption after dad passed away. I was supposed to grow to love God but instead I grew cold and bleak toward Him that day I pled with my mother not to leave me at the age of four years old. Mother felt like she was much too young to be tied down alone with a child, she was twenty-four years old, beautiful dark smooth skin. As she walked out of the courtroom that day she never looked back or waved goodbye. Grandma April was a Bible thumper, strictly by the book and I couldn’t stand it anymore than my mother could as she used to tell me. I didn’t understand why she figured I could handle being raised by such a strict rod as a little girl when she couldn’t. By the time I was nine years old I’d become one of the most rebellious kids in my classroom. Mrs. Smith; my third grade teacher used to always tell me, ―My God Dawn, you’re much to pretty and smart to throw your life away the way you’re doing,‖ but I’d be so high that the only thing I could do was laugh at her. As long as I stayed high I could keep all of my pangs subsided, who was she to try to tell me anything? She had no idea what I was going through. By the time I was eleven I’d been in and out of more than 20 different foster homes because I wouldn’t stop running away from home. I never tried to hurt Grandma April but we just couldn’t see eye to eye with her religious notions, so I felt she’d be better off with her God and me with my own pleasures. By my fifteenth birthday I was singing in a night club to support my own drug addiction habits, not only was I able to support my habits but I was also able to send grandma eight-hundred dollars a week. It was the best I could do to replace the money I’d stolen from her to buy my drugs. I felt by doing this she wouldn’t have to keep on praying for God to forgive me or to save my soul. The truth was, I really didn’t want her to end up disappointed in God like I was, he was the reason mother left me. Who wants God forced on them anyhow? I know I didn’t. I’d been praying for him to send my mother back to me for eleven years until it was just useless. In my sixteenth year, I’d had my fourth miscarriage, lost my thirteenth job, and was in recovery from my tenth overdose attempt, and found myself admitted into Saint Judge’s Psychiatrist Treatment Center, after I found out Grandma April had passed away two years ago. It’s a good thing Grandma April had such good neighbors who loves and respected her. All of the cash money I’d mailed to grandma’s house, the old Christian couple kept every cent of it but that’s not the only thing they kept for me. I was given grandma’s diary, a book she cherished the most besides her Bible. As I read bits and pieces here and there before passing out I stumbled over something she’d written personally about me and it touched my heart, this is what it said, ―I wish I had the answers to all of your problems my dear. Ever since the day your mother left you, you felt responsible, you thought you were a failure, but I just wanted you to know that failure didn’t mean you failed, it just meant you hadn’t succeeded yet. Your disappointments are like road humps, they were meant to slow you down a bit, that way you would be able to enjoy the smooth road afterwards. Your humps weren’t designed to hold you there too long. When you were feeling down because you didn’t get what you wanted, all God wanted you to do was just sit tight because He is working something out for you. I want you to know sweetheart as I conclude, is this, God left no details to chance, so with that, I pray you grow in enough faith to look beyond today’s clouds and into the bright sunshine of a better tomorrow. Love Grandma April.‖ Now that Grandma April was gone I was left all alone with no earthly idea of what I was going to do with my life and for the first time ever I began to fear being alone. I only used grandma’s house as a place to sleep during the nights, I wandered the streets during the day. My life was an ugly mess, a school dropout, a drug addict, a job reject, a loner, and a no body.

Walking along life’s lonesome darkest path I traveled down Carver Lane where I approached an old white church that sat off to my left short of the right turn I was about to make. Church as you all should know by now was of no interest to me, it could do nothing for me, absolutely nothing. So the church is not what really made me stop but, the man who was standing in the doorway who appeared to be looking much lonely than I was, is what caught my attention. A church, look at the poor guy for god sake, they can’t even help him, look at him standing there with his head hanging low, his hands stuck deep inside of his pockets. I wanted to say something to the poor guy but who was I to try to help anyone, I was in bad shape myself I reasoned as I walked away. Way to go Dawn, that would really made Grandma April really sad knowing you had a chance to at least offer to help someone but didn’t, I thought to myself. S-i-g-h, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt anything to at least offer an ear to the guy, So, I turned back to go to him but only to find him gone. Great, now what? I really don’t want to go inside of that place but I guess a peek inside won’t hurt anything. Slowly I eased up to the door stuck my head inside and whispered, hello hello, is anyone here? ―Hu huh u, yes, how may I help you child?’ an older man asked me as he raised himself up from his knees as he was praying. I felt so bad but the least I could do was explain to him why I was there after disturbing him. I was coming by to talk to the gentleman who I saw standing in the doorway just a few minutes ago. Do you know him sir? ―Know him who child‖? Do you know the man who was standing in your doorway? With the sourest look on his face he responded, ―There hasn’t been anyone here but me and the Missionary the entire day and she’s in prayer right now as we speak.‖ No, this can’t be right, I know I saw a man standing right there in that doorway, I’m not losing my mind I said as I took off through the church opening every door I saw in an attempt to find that man. As I rushed through the church he followed me trying to stop me until that lady came out of the next to the last room I was about to search. Stepping out into our view, the guy who followed me stood apologizing to her as though he’d committed one of the greatest sins in the world. She placed her hand upon his shoulders and told him everything was fine before he left us alone. Standing there staring at me without uttering a word mu body became tensed. Softly she invited me into the room she’d just come out of. I wanted to resist but on the other hand I felt compelled to go. Entering the room she begins to finish unloading boxes while she talked to me. While she spoke tears begin to fill my eyes as she told me about the experiences she encountered during her missions in the third world countries. ―Indeed, God was using me to save thousands of souls over there but I felt so bad about the lost souls I’d left behind in the U.S. but the small still voice inside always whispered, ―God will work it out.‖ So I left it at that trusting God to live up to His promise.‖ She stopped unpacking as she stood facing me crying crocodile tears her lips trembling uncontrollably she softly whispered, ―God is an awesome God and His wisdom and the way He chooses to do things are past finding out.‖ (Romans 11:33) emphasis added. After listening to this wonderful woman she was finally able to lead me to Jesus Christ. How on earth would I have ever known that the man who stood in that door of that little old white church that day was the Lord himself? He was demonstrating the revelation of His word to me. He wasn’t just standing in the door; He was showing me ―He was the door, the way, the truth and the life.‖ (John 10‖1-3, 14:6) And so it was as He said, as I searched for Him that day, I found Him according to His word in (Jeremiah 29:13). And to sum up the totality of my story, the missionary who led me to Christ Jesus that day was my mother. Not only did she look different, she was different. She held God to His promise and went on doing His will while God’s plan to work everything out came in His time through His wisdom. God does not sleep nor slumber, nor is His hands too short to save. (Psalm 121: 4-6) and (Isaiah 59:1). My name is Dawn and I want you to know that no matter what you’re going through don’t lose hope, God will work it out. Active Frontline Message of the Month For all the brothers who are married...or have a special women in their lives, think about this: What is her favorite flower? Is it a rose? A tulip? Carnations? Whatever it may be...she is the flower...and we are her stem. It is our responsibility to be firmly rooted in God’s word and feed her what she needs to be as pretty and healthy as can be. If we aren’t firmly rooted, she’ll wither and die. Think about it. Active Frontline Ministries Yuri K. Luckette #679441 Beto One

So understand “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live even if he dies. And those who live and believe in me will never die...do you believe this? (John 11: 25, 26)

FROM BEHIND THE WALL TO OUTSIDE THE WALL WRITTEN BY: CHIEF BISHOP: G.L. THOMAS A.K.A. “TANK” (OUT OF WEST DALLAS) I write these words of encouragement to those back behind the wall, in the form of my report based on the two years I have been out walking with the Lord, Jesus The Christ on Dec. 02, of 2011, I have been allowed to stay free of trouble, free of any problems concerning the law. Thanks be to God we have opened the doors of the ministries He showed us while still yet behind the walls and when I speak of doors of ministries I mean the house of God, named “The Westside Tribe Temple”, located in West Dallas, across Westmoreland, down Canada Drive. Headed West from Westmoreland, the 11TH street on the left, being the second house on the left, with our sign on the front lawn. The building is pretty small but the power of god is Awesome!! The people are being made free weekly by the Holy Ghost. There are no membership papers to fill out to become a member and be a part of this movement of God… Absolutely nothing is required, only your desire to fellowship among other true believers struggling with issues like anyone else on God’s green earth. It is our deepest desire that all would come, and worship the True and Living Savior of the World, Jesus the Christ in spirit and truth. Together with faithful men and women of God without any man made rules, based off of their old conservative traditions, and religious doctrines, and tracks of men. We live and move off of Faith in the God we trust, for everything. We open the doors of yet another part of the ministry which houses those who need help with problems due to any circumstances as we have room available. One of the single family houses, are located off Camp Wisdom and Polk, on Blue Wood. The other house is in Garland on Castle Rock Ln, where my lovely wife and myself Eva stay for the moment, until God tell us to pick up and go elsewhere. Now what one would call free behind the walls, but being out here and knowing that so many of our brothers and sisters are left behind the walls only because of no housing (nowhere to parole), no support from the outside, whether family or friends for whatever reason we are deeply saddened. As a people and as the true believers in the Body of Christ, daily our focus is, “How can we get another soul saved”. All for the Kingdom of God and one freer from behind the walls, where we once were held in chains one way or another, and to assist in any way possible. We understand what it takes to overcome for many to be released, and opportunity to stay on the outside of the walls. We are Living Testimonies by words and actions here at Westside Tribe Temple in West Dallas. The hold up for many of you is our lack of funds to support the vision of “Freeing Every Man and Woman that desires to be Free”! Today we are standing on the promise of God saying, “If It Is God’s Will, It is God’s Bill”. Meaning that He will make away for his people out of Egypt, just like the days of Moses. A man heard God and told the people He said to, “Let My People Go”! I believe that. Those of you brothers and sisters who stand with me, believe God is no respect of person, and He is sending the Word, “Report out Today”, for all of his people to join us from behind the walls, outside the walls, to join forces and help build our own place on five hundred acres of land with our hands and finances that He gives us through many ways. Along with people to support ourselves build a Holly Place, where all who have been over due can come out and show the people of this world that God is in total control and can change anybody through his power, and might for His Glory!! People the time is now to put our trust totally in Jesus and give toward this vision of five hundred acres. Away from schools or anything else these outside people fear. The ex-offender being around everyone will be welcome no matter the offence that got you behind the walls. Stop! Think! Before you give any more money to Parole Lawyers, which can’t help you, when there is no place to parole out to, Wake Up Now! it is time to help open the doors through you and family members supporting the vision and building such a place. I shared with my wife the morning God revealed to me that someone is going to give us the five hundred acres of land to bring His will to pass, rather on the outside of the walls or behind the walls. I don’t know who it is that God would use. Help your fellow brother’s and sisters gain their freedom. CONTINUE ON NEXT PAGE
If God is speaking to your heart write to this ministry, send someone over to ask more questions don’t put your trust in the manmade system. They are going broke can you feel it by the cutting back on things behind the walls? What must we do? God have given us minds to reason, let us join hands and pull the next person out and give them a fair chance. If you are dying behind the walls, you are not dead yet, and can help someone else not dying behind the walls…. Please give to the vision of One Big Village a real support system not just a church program, but a vision God has sent down from Heaven. Your soul and freedom are very important write and ask questions, give toward your future freely, because time could be running out, and you or someone who you love can be apart of a vision that accept what many seem to be the outcast, or plague with leprosy. Again the God we serve is no respect of person, he came for those who or lost and discriminated against to save and deliver them. Come as you or with all your issues dress code not enforced. Tell everyone you know to join us because with their help we can reach the needy be fore its to late. Signing off for now: This has been a message given to me by God; Delivered to you by: Bishop G.L. ―Blessing in Disguise” (Luke 1:26-35, 2:6-7) Greetings my brothers and sisters in the Lord. Wow, if you turn your head just slightly so, you’ll no doubt see that this year, 2011, is just about over with. As we look up ahead a few paces, we’ll find that Christmas is almost upon us. Aaahh, the joys of the holiday season most of us enjoy so much. The shopping, gift giving, over eating and just the overall setting and attitude of this season is what I enjoy the most. The world celebrates the season while you and I rejoice in the reason for the season. Jesus Christ – our Lord and Savior. We recognize and no doubt understand that God has given is His best gift in His only Begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. An eternal gift, unlike the ones exchanged upon Christmas morning which perish over time. Jesus is a gift we can enjoy again and again. In fact, every time we extend love, joy, kindness or forgiveness to others – we are clearly demonstrating that same gift we’ve received from the Father as we extend it to others in need of it. We have become ministers of righteousness as the Lord pleads through us. 2 Corinthians 5:17-20. This is a very important truth to consider as we consider the overall reason or purpose for Christ’s coming into the world over 2,000 years ago. You see, His birth teaches us some very encouraging truths about God’s dealings with us. Truths I would like to encourage you with because too often we become sooo discouraged that we seem to lose sight of God’s goodness for our lives. We believe that a God moment is surely possible in other people’s lives but just not in our own. Therefore, rather than rejoicing in the reason for the season, we seem to drift through it rather gloomy or numb to the joyful atmosphere and festivities. I see it all the time in prison and I’m sure it is not very much different for those out on the streets. So, just what can we all learn from the birth of Christ this season? His birth teaches us that everything has its set purpose because our God is a God of purpose. Jesus was born for a purpose. From the very beginning God had it on His mind to bless us with His best. The bible tells us in Matthew 1:21 that Jesus would be born and He would save His people from their sins. In all honesty, there was nothing glamorous or glorious in the way He would accomplish this. In fact, it was quite the opposite – He suffered the most horrendous and excruciatingly painful death a human being could ever suffer. There was nothing beautiful about that terrible suffering He endured for you and me – but oh the joy and fruit it yielded in the end as it brought glory to God in the highest. John 12:27 tells us that this is what Christ was born for. To save His people, to die on their behalf, to suffer for you and me was His purpose, no matter how ugly or horrendous it was upon that cross. He was God’s greatest gift to mankind. He was God’s purpose from the very beginning. So, what can we learn from this to apply in our own lives is that God too has a purpose for your life – just like He had one for Jesus. (Jer. 1:5, Gal. 1:15, Lk. 1:15, Jer. 29:11, Ps. 139). I realize it may not seem like it at times, especially when all you go through is valleys and storms while everyone around you is getting blessed. I’ve had my share of those moments when anxiety desires to control my spirit. I’ve had those days when I’ve sat and tried to reason with logic as to the why, why, why am I going through another trial, another storm when I’ve been faithful to the Lord every day. But then I remember that Christ’s purpose wasn’t always pretty. No, in fact, it hurt when they whipped and beat Him with glee and hatred. It hurt when they drove each nail into His hands and feet and hung Him up on that old rugged cross. No, there was nothing glorious salvation for all of us. You too have a purpose man of God or woman of God. That purpose may involve some certain refining conditions that may not be pretty or anything like you expected. But understand that God allows us to go through some things because He knows you can handle them and when it’s all over with and you come out on the other end – you’ll be fully equipped and ready to function in your purpose. Trust Him, rely on His word and understand He is working it out right now. Right now! Another lesson we can learn from Christ’s birth is that God’s purpose for your life is the key to you effectiveness and fulfillment in life. Phil 3:4-9 God’s purpose for your life is your life’s mission statement. It is what you strategize from. It’s your base of operation in which all your strengths and abilities are used for. God’s purpose for your life is your appointment with greatness and the devil knows this which is why he seeks to keep you from it.
CONTINUE ON THE NEXT PAGE
The enemy knows if he can keep you from discovering and functioning in your God given purpose then he cheats you out of discovering God’s best for your life. He knows that the greatest thing a child of God could ever tap into is his or her purpose. Because in that purpose is where you operate in effectiveness and experience meaning and fulfillment in your life. The enemy figured that out when he was defeated by Christ and now he seeks to cause confusion and crisis in your life, because he knows if you step into your purpose the way Jesus did – then that much more of his kingdom is torn down, that many more souls are saved, that much more of why Jesus was born – becomes effective. You see, you and I cannot do what we are supposed to do until we discover what it is we’re supposed to do. And if you don’t do what you’re supposed to do then your life is wasted and will always be unfulfilled. Every great man and woman of God in the bible, left behind a vivid portrait of lives lived out embracing their purpose and every element that made up that purpose – no matter how painful, ugly or unexpected it might have been. They trusted God’s word. Let me ask you a question. Right now in your life – where you currently find yourself, if someone were to ask you to paint a picture of your dream or your purpose – is it so clear that you could? Could you clearly tell someone where you’re headed if they were to ask? You see, whenever you know where you’re going and someone along the way begins to ask about certain things in your life or begins to question why you’re doing what you do – it doesn’t matter what they may see that doesn’t look right to them. What does matter is you know where you’re going. Whenever an artist begins to lay out his colors on his canvas – nothing is known about what he’ll paint like it to him. He has a reason for every stroke and a place for every color because he sees the finished product in his head. No one else can. Let me tell you-when you’re in the midst of a process it might not look like your life is becoming anything but God is the artist here. He’s the one doing the painting so He sees the finished product. When Jesus walked amongst the people, He was rejected, scorned and laughed at because they couldn’t see the finished product like He could. His disciples were discouraged and scattered after His death because they couldn’t see the finished product until He stood in their midst and they touched Him. The birth tells us in Isa. 46:9-10, that only God can tell you the future because He knows the end from the beginning. Sometimes, when the going gets tough, stop and look at what God’s word says about you. stop and meditate on His faithfulness and what His word paints of your future. Stop and encourage yourself in the Lord. Stop and take a look at what He’s painting of your life. When you become discouraged – look at what He’s painting. Whenever you get depressed – look at what He’s painting. When things just don’t seem to be working out for you – stop and take a look at what He’s painting. You see my friend, sometimes we have to look at that painting in order to remember we have somebody to be and somewhere to go in life. We have to remind ourselves that we don’t have time for mess because I’m a man or a woman under construction and God is working on me. I have a date with greatness and everything that happens in my life is a part of that greatness. Did you know that in the construction business there is a contractor who oversees the work? Yea, and sometimes he may switch things up on you while you’re in the middle of doing something else. He may pull you aside and put you way over in the middle of nowhere just to dig a ditch that seemingly serves only a purpose he is aware of. You may not understand the purpose of that ditch or even why he has ―you‖ digging it, especially when you know your skills are so much more valuable than digging a ditch. But you still have to trust him because he knows best-after all, he is your employer and he for sure is aware of some certain conditions that you have yet to be informed of. God is the contractor in our lives and He may tell you to do something that simply does not make sense and then he may not even explain much about why you’re doing what He has you doing, or why you’re going through what He has you dealing with. Just ask Abraham, Joseph, Moses and Jonah. Maybe that’s where you are right now-you’ve been faithfully digging away day after day, year after year, ditch after ditch, ―Don’t quit and don’t you dare give up‖ because God is saying to you, ―stay where you are, we’re building something here, keep digging! Don’t measure the depths of your digging with someone else-they’re not you. Their purpose is not your purpose.

You are unique so God has something just for you. be encouraged because He’s working it out. I don’t know who I’m talking to this Christmas season but God is working it out. When Jesus was in the garden of Gethsemane, He prayed that His cup would pass from Him. But when it didn’t, He stayed and kept digging. He stayed because He knew He was born for that specific purpose, just like you. The last thing we can learn from Jesus birth is that sometimes greatness is birthed in the most unlikely of place – like in the middle of adversity, a stable or even prison like many of us find ourselves today. When Jesus was born in a stable, the least likely place a king would be born; it took revelation to find Him. Moses was equipped through 40 years of desert dwelling. Joseph was forged through false imprisonment. Every one of these men obtained greatness in the least likely of all places. Their greatness involved their past, present and their future. Your life my friend, has a story to unfold that also involves your past, present and future. Just like the life of Jesus Christ. He came from God, He was born and He now sits at the right hand of the Father; Past, Present, and Future. God uses it all – He wastes nothing. So do not allow your past or even your present to rob you of the future God has for you. Be encouraged this Christmas seasons my friend – be encouraged because no matter how it looks, you have a purpose and an appointment with greatness. Live your life today, right now, this season – in the reality of that greatness by believing and trusting God’s word. let Him finish painting the details of your life with the colors He sees fit to use. Remember, He is the one painting the picture.
