Staffing Solutions, Inc.
As Sedona Staffing Services celebrates 25 years of serving Central Texas, the company is proud to announce an exciting transformation—introducing Crouch Staffing Solutions, Inc. This rebranding marks a significant milestone, reflecting both the company’s legacy and its future commitment to connecting businesses with top talent.
The decision to rename the company is deeply personal. In 2021, Sedona Staffing Services lost its co-founder, Robert Crouch, who dedicated 25 years to the staffing industry. To honor his memory and the impact he made on countless businesses and job seekers, the company will now carry his name forward as Crouch Staffing Solutions, Inc. “As we move into the next 25 years, we want to ensure that his values, dedication, and commitment to excellence remain at the core of our company.”, stated Karen Crouch, President and Owner.
While the name is changing, the company’s mission remains the same. Clients and job seekers can continue to expect the same dedicated service, experienced team, and strong community presence. Crouch Staffing Solutions, Inc. will also remain part of the Sedona Staffing Services® Network, ensuring continued access to top-tier resources.
To reflect this transition, the company will soon launch a new website at www. crouchstaffing.com, and social media pages will be updated accordingly. "This community has been an integral part of our journey, and we are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received over the past 25 years.”, added Karen Crouch. “We look forward to many more years of serving businesses and job seekers as Crouch Staffing Solutions, Inc.”
Extraco ‘s innovative business banking solutions are designed to meet your goals, and help Central Texas businesses grow and succeed. Backed by a commitment to local relationships and in-house exper ts, our ser vices ensure your business has the suppor t it needs to strengthen our community.
Back in 1954, Ray Kroc discovered a small burger restaurant and began the McDonald’s story. From humble beginnings, it has grown into a global brand with over 36,000 locations in 100+ countries. The Lutito McDonald’s Organization, serving Central Texas since 2002, is proud to invest in its people and spaces. In February, a grand re-opening ribbon cutting celebrated the remodel, enhancing the experience for employees and families alike.

Even the cold temperatures couldn’t keep the community from celebrating the groundbreaking of Wings Pizza N’ Things’ second location at 6776 W. Adams Ave., Temple, TX 76502 in February! Victor Gueits-Burgos, Walmart Distribution Company #6083; Nathan Harrel, Extraco Banks; Shanna Wildheart, Central Texas Housing Consoritum - LT Class of 2025
Economic development is the backbone of any thriving community, and Leadership Temple recently explored the key drivers of Temple’s success during its annual Economic Development Day. The Class of 2025 toured Workforce Solutions of Central Texas, Materials Transportation Company (MTC), Walmart Distribution Center #6083, and the Temple Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) to gain firsthand insights into their impact on the local economy.
A vital resource for job seekers and businesses, Workforce Solutions serves seven counties, including Bell County, and leads Texas in service volume. In the past year, it hosted 63 hiring events and partnered with Temple College and local high schools to provide workforce training. The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program funds high-demand skill training, ensuring workers secure stable, well-paying jobs. Additional services include vocational rehabilitation, childcare assistance, and employment support, helping residents achieve economic stability.
Another critical stop was MTC, a custom metal manufacturing company specializing in food service equipment and battery handling equipment. What sets MTC apart is its 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), meaning that employees directly own the business. The ESOP model fosters a culture of investment and accountability among employees, leading to higher productivity and long-term stability. Businesses like MTC demonstrate the potential for local manufacturing to thrive in Temple while providing highquality jobs for residents.
The tour also included visiting the Walmart Distribution Center DC 6083, a powerhouse in Temple’s logistics and supply chain sector. Since opening in 1994, the center has become a vital hub in Walmart’s nationwide distribution network, handling over $30 million in daily inventory. It serves 201 stores across Texas, ensuring timely delivery to 180 Supercenters and 21 Neighborhood Markets.
Employing nearly 900 associates, the center prioritizes competitive wages, with an average hourly pay of $28.85. This employee investment translates to a highly efficient operation powered by state-of-the-art warehouse management technology and strong leadership teams that oversee daily logistics. Walmart’s ability to scale operations while maintaining efficiency highlights the crucial role that large employers play in Temple’s economy.
To understand how Temple attracts and retains businesses, Leadership Temple met with the Temple Economic Development Corporation (TEDC).
As a privately owned, nonprofit entity contracted by the City of Temple, TEDC plays a pivotal role in shaping economic opportunities. They focus on retaining, expanding, and growing businesses, negotiating real estate deals, and partnering with the Temple Chamber of Commerce to bring new industries to the area.
By fostering business-friendly policies and investing in economic development, TEDC helps maintain a competitive job market and improve Temple residents' overall quality of life. A strong local economy, fueled by high-quality employment opportunities, leads to greater stability, reduced poverty rates, and a more engaged community.
Temple’s strategic economic initiatives are delivering results. In 2023, the city’s poverty rate stood at 10.5%, lower than the state (13.7%) and county (11.2%) averages. Compared to nearby cities—Belton (16.2%), Killeen (13.9%), and Harker Heights (10.4%)—Temple’s lower rate underscores its strong economic policies. This success is built on a foundation of skilled workers, competitive wages, and committed employers. Businesses like MTC, Walmart Distribution, and TEDC continue to invest in workforce development, creating opportunities that drive economic stability and community engagement. Workforce Solutions of Central Texas further supports job seekers through training programs and employment resources, ensuring more residents secure quality jobs.
Investing in workforce training, business growth, and education is key to Temple’s long-term prosperity. Programs that attract businesses and retain talent strengthen the city’s economic foundation, creating a thriving community for future generations. Leadership Temple’s Economic Development Day showcased the vital partnerships and strategic planning that keep Temple growing. With a continued focus on education, job creation, and business-friendly policies, the city is well-positioned for sustainable success.
