About The Artist ! With a musical career spanning decades and having performed in towns and cities in North America, the Caribbean and Europe, Canadian singer/songwriter David Te’Kannon has been influenced by a variety musical styles. Reggae music, Motown, the Philadelphia sound, R&B, Blues, Folk, Rock n’ Roll, Pop, Disco, World Music, House Music, Rap and today’s music have helped shaped his musical palette. ! ! A painter and sculptor at the time, he began his performing career in rock n’ roll venues in the American mid-west in the mid 70‘s. Moving to Massachusetts, he played in Province Town on Cape Cod and then down to Florida in Key West playing as a street musician in the Mallory Square Sunset Celebration. Roaming the south to New Orleans and Austin, Texas, he played music in the streets and unplugged gigs. Continuing on to Nashville, Tennessee, California and dozens of other cities in dozens of states, he was molded on the iconic American road. ! In 1978 he moved to London, England staying for two years before moving to Paris, France and then Geneva, Switzerland. Later crossing Europe, David played in Amsterdam, Bruxelles and other cities before moving to New York City for a couple of years. David is now based in Geneva, Switzerland.
