We traveled to Old World Hungary, a land of vibrant color, dazzling artistry and rich folk traditions. We were charmed by Croatia— soaking in the soccer spirit of Split and tasting our way through the Zagreb daily market with its sea of redstriped umbrellas. In rural Transylvania we met the cheery owner of a small museum— she shared her handsome hand-woven rugs, fed us pie and enriched us with her stories. for little citizens of the world We love the idea that children’s early notion of global citizenship can be nurtured by the foods they taste, the accents they hear, the games they play and the clothes they wear.
